SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS

This manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before using it as it gives important indications with regard to safety in use and maintenance of your item. Keep it with care.

- Do not leave pieces of packaging (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails etc.) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capabilities, since these are potential sources of danger.
- The voltage of power mains shall match with the one as indicated in the rating label placed on product.
- Before connecting the plug to the socket outlet check that the working voltage of the appliance corresponds to the one in your house. If in doubt, contact a professionally qualified technician.
- Connect the product only to a socket provided of ground connection. The electrical safety of this appliance is ensured only if it is correctly connected to an effective earthing system in compliance with the existing electrical safety standards. It must be
operated with an additional earth-leakage circuit-breaker with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA. LANGE DISTRIBUTION cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the lack of an earthing system.
- Wrong electrical connections could be very dangerous and may lead to irreversible damages and, always, void any guarantee.
- If the use of an extension cords is necessary, be sure that extension cord is certified, suitable for the product ratings and provided of ground wire connection; while in use, unwind the cord completely.
- The appliance must never be connected and put into operation with a timer or a separate remote start-up system.

Do not touch the container (7), the basket (3) and the metal parts of the appliance in the minutes following its switch-off. Wait for the hot parts to cool down to carry out any cleaning operation
- Caution: Do not move the air-fryer when it is in use.
- Before carrying, transporting or storing the oven, ensure that is has sufficiently cooled down.
- Place the product on a stable and heat resistant surface, away from easily inflammable materials or objects.

If you decide to dispose of this appliance as waste, it is recommended to render it inoperative by cutting the power cord. It is also recommended to render harmless those parts of the appliance that could constitute a danger, especially for children who could use the appliance for their games.

Do not obstruct the air vents.
- To avoid interruptions in the air flow, do not place anything on top of the appliance and check that there is always 10 cm of free space around the appliance.

- In case of commercial, or inadequate, or illegitimate, or mistaken, or unreasonable use, non-compliant with the prescriptions and instructions, LANGE DISTRIBUTION cannot be held responsible and all warranties are void.
- In case of mains failure, switch the appliance off and disconnect plug from socket.
PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT!
This appliance contains several reusable or recyclable materials. At the end of its life cycle, make the appliance unusable by disconnecting first it from mains and then, cutting off the power cord. For the disposal of the appliance follow the regulations which are in force in your place of residence.

IMPORTANT!
All assembly, disassembly and cleaning operations must be carried out when the appliance is switched off, cooled and with the plug disconnected from the socket.
1 - BEFORE USE
- Remove packaging materials, labels, bags and anything else has employed in order to protect the appliance and place them in a safe place far from reach of children.

Read this instruction manual completely because it contains important safety prescriptions and also the way to grant to your product a long and useful lifespan.

Before using the appliance for the first time, wash the container (7) and the basket (3).
- Grasp the handle (6) and extract the container complete with basket from the appliance body (2).
- Lift the transparent slider (4).
- Press the basket release button (5) and at the same time remove the basket from the container by lifting it upwards.
- The container and the basket can be washed in the dishwasher. Alternatively, use dish soap and a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
- Before proceeding with the use of the fryer, carry out an operating cycle with no load for about 10 minutes, setting the maximum temperature with the thermostat knob (1). This operation will eliminate the new smell.
- During the operating cycle, make sure the room is well ventilated.
NOTE!
There may be some smoke when you use the appliance for the first time, this is normal and is due to residue from production protective substances on the heating elements: this will disappear when you use it again.
2 - CONTROL PANEL
THERMOSTAT KNOB
- The knob (1) allows setting the ideal cooking temperature from 80^ to 200^ .

Automatic operation with preset time
- The timer allows the setting of an operating time from 1 to 30 minutes. At the end of the settled time, an acoustic signal will be heard and the air-fryer stops operating automatically.
- To interrupt the operation of the appliance before the end of the pre-selected time, turn the timer dial counterclockwise until it reaches the "0" position. (appliance off).

- Connect the plug to an electrical socket.
- Grasp the handle (6) and remove the container complete with basket from the appliance body (2).
- Introduce the ingredients to be cooked into the basket (3) without exceeding the maximum level indicated inside it.
- Insert the container into the appliance body (2).
If the container has not been inserted correctly, the appliance will not start.
- Set the desired cooking temperature by turning the thermostat knob (1) located in the upper part of the appliance body. The temperature can be set between 80^ C and 200^ C .
- Set the cooking time by turning the knob (8) on the front of the fryer: it is possible to select a time from 1 minute to 30 minutes.
- During cooking, you may notice that the operation light (9) turns on and off periodically. This indicates the interventions of the thermostat which maintains the correct temperature in the cooking compartment.
- By removing the container (7) during the frying process, the appliance switches off automatically. When the container is reinserted, the program resumes.
- At the end of the set period, the device emits a "beep" and turns off.
- Check that the food is actually cooked, remove the complete container using the special handle (6) and place it on a heat-resistant surface.
- If the ingredients are not ready, simply reinsert the container into the appliance and turn the timer knob for a few minutes.
- Remove the basket (3) by pressing the appropriate button (5) and serve the food.
Remove the food only with rubber, plastic or wooden accessories to avoid damaging the non-stick layer of the basket (3).
Warning!
Danger of burns. Do not touch the container (7), the basket (3) and the metal parts of the appliance in the minutes following its shutdown. Wait for the hot parts to cool down.
TIPS:
- We recommend that you preheat the fryer for the execution of some recipes or reduce the cooking times: simply turn on the product for 3-5 minutes at the desired temperature before inserting the food to be cooked.
- To switch off the fryer prematurely, turn the timer knob (8) to 0.
- Periodically check the cooking, especially during frying, shaking the food to prevent it from sticking.
- To obtain crispier fried fresh potatoes, simply sprinkle them with a tablespoon of oil.
- Smaller ingredients need a slightly shorter cooking time than larger ingredients.
- A larger quantity of ingredients requires a slightly longer preparation time.
- Mixing the smaller ingredients halfway through cooking optimizes the final result and helps even cooking.
- Oven-baked snacks can be cooked in the hot air fryer.

6 – CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION!
Before carrying out any cleaning and/or maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the power outlet and wait until the oven
has cooled off completely.
TIPS:
The appliance cleaning will be easier if it is carried out immediately after use. It is recommended to frequently clean the oven to prevent the formation of fumes and bad smells during cooking.
Cleaning the appliance
Clean the plastic parts with a damp non-abrasive cloth and dry them with a dry cloth.
Clean the inside of the appliance with a non-abrasive cloth soaked in hot water. Dry the surfaces.
Clean the heating elements with a dry cloth to remove any food residues.
Cleaning of components
The container (7) and the basket (3) can be washed in the dishwasher. Alternatively, use a common dish soap and a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
- Grasp the handle (6) and remove the container complete with basket from the appliance body.
- Press the release button (5) and at the same time remove the basket from the container by lifting it upwards.
To soften the food residues on the basket, you can fill the container (7) with hot water and add a few drops of detergent. Insert the basket (3) and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash and dry.
The container and the basket are made of non-stick material:
- do not use abrasive or metal sponges for washing as they would compromise the coating.
- after prolonged use, opacity and slight streaks may appear that do not compromise the cooking and taste of the food.
- in case of deep marks or scratches that cause the covering to come off, replace the basket (3).
- Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
- Do not wash the appliance under a jet of water.
- Do not use chemicals or abrasives.
- Do not wash the inside of the fryer with flammable substances such as alcohol.
- Do not cook food soaked in flammable substances.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/UE on electric and electronic equipment waste disposal.

- The barred symbol of the rubbish bin shown on the equipment indicates that, at the end of its useful life, the product must be collected separately from other waste.
- Therefore, any products that have reached the end of their useful life must be given to waste disposal centres specialising in separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment, or given back to the retailer at the time of purchasing new similar equipment, on a one for one basis.
- The adequate separate collection for the subsequent start-up of the equipment sent to be recycled, treated and disposal of in an environmentally compatible way contributes to preventing possible negative effects on the environment and health and optimises the recycling and reuse of components making up the apparatus.
