Frequently Asked Questions - BP-SE GODOX

What type of lights is the Godox BP-SE compatible with?

The BP-SE is designed for Godox LED lights with a flat head Bowens mount, such as the LA150R, LA200R, LA300R, and LA300Bi.

Can I use a camera lens with the BP-SE?

No, do not use a camera lens mount. The BP-SE uses an EF lens mount for optical projection lenses only, as high temperatures may damage camera lenses.

How do I install a gobo?

Loosen the screw bolt on the projection attachment counterclockwise (do not remove), slide open the gobo holder cap, place the gobo inside, close the cap, and insert the holder into the slot. Tighten the screw after insertion.

How do I install the lens?

Insert the lens into the lens mount on the projection attachment and rotate it clockwise until the lens disassembly button locks up with a "ting" sound.

How do I remove the lens?

Press and hold the lens disassembly button on the projection attachment, then rotate the lens anticlockwise to remove it.

How do I attach the projection attachment to a compatible LED light?

Insert the projection attachment mount into the light’s Bowens mount, then rotate it clockwise until the mount locking pusher of the light automatically locks.

Can I use an iris diaphragm with the BP-SE?

Yes, the BP-SE has a slot for an optional adjustable iris diaphragm (MLP-ID). It can be installed in the same way as a gobo holder, but you cannot use both at the same time.

What is the maximum rotation angle of the BP-SE?

The top dial allows for 350 degrees of rotation.

Does the BP-SE come with a lens?

Yes, it depends on the kit. The BP65 kit includes a 65mm lens, the BP85 kit includes an 85mm lens, and the BP150 kit includes a 150mm lens.

How do I clean the BP-SE?

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners. For lenses, use a lens cleaning solution and microfiber cloth.

Note: This product utilizes an EF lens mount for optical lenses. Do not use a camera lens mount as a substitute, as the generated high temperature may damage the camera lens.

Installation of Gobo Holders

Loosen the screw bolt on the projection attachment counterclockwise(only loosen, do not remove them), slide open the gobo holder cap, and put the gobo into the gobo holder then insert into slot.

Note: The optional Iris Diaphragm can also be installed in the same way, but they cannot be installed at the same time.

Lens Installation and Disassembly

1. Insert the lens into the lens mount on the projection attachment, then rotate it clockwise until the lens disassembly button automatically locks up with a "ting".

1. To remove the lens, press and hold the lens disassembly button on the projection attachment and rotate the lens ianticlockwise to remove it.

Projection Attachment Installation and Disassembly (take LA300R as an example)

1. Insert the projection attachment mount into the LA300R mount, then rotate the projection attachment clockwise until the mount locking pusher of LA300R bayonet automatically locks up

1. To remove the projection attachment, press and hold the mount locking pusher of LA500R, and then rotate the projection attachment anticlockwise to remove it.

If maintenance service is needed, you can directly contact the product distributor or authorized service institutions. You can also contact the Godox after-sale service call and we will offer your service. When applying for maintenance service, you should provide valid warranty card. If you cannot provide valid warranty card, we may offer you maintenance service once confirmed that the product or accessory is involved in the maintenance scope, but that shall not be considered as our obligation:

The guarantee and service offered by this document are not applicable in the following cases: ① The product or accessory has expired its warranty period; ② Breakage or damage caused by inappropriate usage, maintenance or preservation, such as improper packing, improper usage, improper plugging in/out external equipment, falling off or squeezing by external force, contacting or exposing to the improper temperature, solvent, acid, base, flooding and damp environments, etc; ③ Breakage or damage caused by non-authorized institution or staff in the process of installation, maintenance, alternation, addition and detachment; ④ The original identifying information of product or accessory is modified, alternated, or removed; ⑤ No valid warranty card; ⑥ Breakage or damage caused by using
