Frequently Asked Questions - Bosco i-Size Caretero

How do I install the Bosco i-Size using ISOFIX?
Clip the ISOFIX insert guides onto the vehicle's ISOFIX points. Extend the ISOFIX connectors from the seat and push them into the guides until they click. Ensure both ISOFIX buttons turn green. Then push the seat firmly against the vehicle seatback and extend the support leg until it touches the floor with a green indicator.
How do I adjust the headrest?
Loosen the harness, then squeeze the headrest height adjuster and slide the headrest to the appropriate height. For 5-point harness use, the shoulder belts should be at child's shoulder level. For vehicle belt use, leave a two-finger gap between headrest and shoulders.
How do I clean the car seat cover?
Remove the cover and wash by hand or machine on delicate cycle at max 30°C. Use mild detergent. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or iron. Plastic parts can be wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap.
Can I use this seat with a 2-point lap belt?
No, the seat requires a 3-point safety belt (lap and diagonal) conforming to ECE Regulation No. 16. Installation with a 2-point belt is forbidden.
What is the height range for using the seat?
The seat is approved for children from 40 cm to 150 cm in height. Rearward-facing is recommended until at least 15 months of age.
When should I switch from rearward-facing to forward-facing?
The seat can be used rearward-facing for children up to 75 cm (infant cushion required) or until 15 months. After 15 months and at least 76 cm, you may rotate to forward-facing. Always follow the height and age recommendations.
How do I tighten the 5-point harness?
Pull the adjuster strap until the harness lies flat and snug against your child's body. Ensure only a hand's thickness of space between child and harness. To loosen, press the center adjuster and pull both shoulder straps forward.
How do I use the seat with only the vehicle belt?
For children 100-150 cm, you can skip ISOFIX. Stow the 5-point harness, install the seat using the vehicle belt: route the lap belt through lower guides and diagonal belt through upper guide. Ensure belt is not twisted. The support leg must NOT be used in this configuration.
Is the support leg required for forward-facing installation?
Yes, when using ISOFIX and the child is under 100 cm, the support leg is required. For children 100-150 cm using only vehicle belt, the support leg must be stowed and not used.
What should I do if the car seat is involved in a crash?
The seat may be damaged even without visible marks. It should be replaced after any crash (even at low speed). Check all vital parts for damage and have the seat inspected by the manufacturer if in doubt. After a crash, do not reuse the seat.
