Frequently Asked Questions - C III Sachtler

How do I assemble the C III pedestal?

What is the maximum payload?
The maximum payload is 55 kg (121 lbs). Do not exceed this limit to avoid damage or injury.
How do I adjust the height?
After mounting the camera, release the column lock (red lever to green dot). Use the included hand pump to add pressure if the column does not hold the camera. To lower, release air via the Schrader valve until desired height is reached.
How do I pressurize the column?
Attach the hand pump firmly onto the Schrader valve. Pump in a few strokes until the column stays at the desired height. A safety valve prevents overpressuring.
How do I release pressure from the column?
Push down the center pin of the Schrader valve with the back of the valve cap to release air. Release until the camera is held in position or the column lowers.
How do I use the dolly wheel-angle locks?

How do I put the pedestal in standby mode?
Lock the center column (red lever to red dot) and secure the dolly by locking one caster. For best performance after breaks, move the column fully up and down several times before use.
