How do I perform the first-time installation?

This device complies with all current safety regulations. The following safety tips are intended to protect the user from reckless use and the resulting dangers.

  • Although this instrument has been manufactured with the utmost care and subjected to a rigorous final inspection before it leaves the factory, there is the possibility, as with any other electrical device, that problems may arise. Immediately disconnect the device from the mains in case of smoke, excessive heat or any other unnatural appearance.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation of the device! Never place the device near or under a curtain!
  • The mains plug or device plug is used to disconnect the device from the mains and should be easily accessible at any time.
  • The device may only be connected to a power supply that corresponds to the power supply indicated on the rating plate located on the back of the device. Never connect the device to any other type of power supply.

Headphone Warning

Set the volume of the unit to minimum before using headphones. If the volume is set too high, it can impair / damage your hearing over a long period of time. Therefore, to protect your hearing, use a comfortable room volume.

Installation location

Place the TV in a location without direct sunlight or strong light sources. Soft, indirect light is recommended for comfortable viewing. Use curtains or blinds/shades to prevent sunlight shining directly on the screen. Place the television on a firm and level surface. This is to prevent the television from falling down. Place the TV in such a way that objects cannot get into the set.

This TV is equipped with a CI + slot and supports the following digital standards: DVB-T / T2HD, DVB-S / S2 and DVB-C

The CI slot (CI +) is designed to accept conditional access modules (CAM) and smart cards to access pay-tv and other services. Contact your pay-tv service provider for more information about modules and subscriptions.

Note:

- Conditional access modules and smart cards are sold separately.

- Turn off your TV before inserting modules into the CI slot. Then insert the smart card into the module.

  1. Turn on the TV and make sure source DTV is selected.
  2. When the CAM is detected, the following text is displayed on the screen: "CI module inserted". Wait a few seconds for the card to activate.

  3. Now select the desired pay-tv program.

  4. Detailed information about the used smart card is displayed.

  5. Press the [OK] key to enter the CI menu. See the module manual for details about the settings.

  6. When the module is removed, the following text appears on the screen: "CI module removed".

First installation:

  1. Press the [POWER] key to turn on the unit.
  2. Use the [▲▼◀▶] buttons to select "Menu Language" and "Country".
  3. Press the [OK] button to confirm the selection and move to the next menu item "Station search".

PROGRAM EDIT

In this menu, you can edit the (Satellite / DVB-C / DVB-T) program list and adjust it to the desired station order.

  1. Press the [MENU] key to open the "Main Menu".
  2. Navigate to the menu item "Channel" and press the [OK] key.
  3. Navigate to the menu item "Program editing" and press the [OK] key.
  4. The following setting options are available.

Move (Yellow):

  1. Select a station to be moved.
  2. Press the [Yellow] button to select the station.
  3. Navigate to the desired program slot.
  4. Press the [OK] key to confirm the entry.
  5. The transmitter has been moved.

  6. Repeat steps "1-4" until the desired program order is reached.

Skip (Blue):

  1. Select a channel to be skipped.
  2. Press the [Blue] button to mark the station with a skip icon.
  3. If the station is marked with the symbol, the station is skipped when switching over.
  4. Repeat steps 1-2 until all channels to be skipped are highlighted.
  5. To stop skipping a station, select a highlighted station and press the [Blue] button. The station is no longer marked.

Delete (Red):

  1. Select a station to be deleted.
  2. Press the [Red] button to delete the selected station.
  3. Repeat steps 1-2 until all desired stations have been deleted.

Favourites (FAV):

  1. Select a station to be saved as a favourite.
  2. Press the [FAV] key to mark the transmitter with a heart symbol.
  3. Repeat steps 1-2 until all desired stations are marked as favourites.

Open favourite list (FAV):

  1. In TV mode, press the [FAV] key to open the Favourites list.

  2. Select the desired station with the [▲▼] button and confirm the entry with the [OK] button to switch to the station.

  3. To close the list, press the [EXIT] key.

Balance

In this menu, adjust the speaker balance.

The menu item adjusts the volume differences between loud and quiet scenes.

- The volume difference between TV broadcasts and commercial breaks is adjusted.

In this menu you set the format for the digital audio output "COAX".

AD Switch

Set the menu item to "On" / "Off" to automatically enable or disable the audio recording of TV programs for the visually impaired.

  • AD Switch: On / Off
    • AD Volume: Adjust the level for the audio recording.

In this menu, you can make various time-related settings.

  1. Press the [MENU] key to open the "Main Menu".

  2. Navigate to the menu item "Time" and press the [OK] key.

Clock

The time is set automatically based on the transmitted data from satellite reception, terrestrial reception or cable reception. The setting can not be set manually.

Time Zone

Set the time zone based on the site. There are various options available.

Sleep Time

Set the "Sleeptimer" so that the device is automatically switched off after the set time has elapsed. The following settings are available.

The device automatically switches off after the time has elapsed, when the device was not operated (standby). The following settings are available.

OSD Timer

With this menu item you can set the time after which the menu is automatically closed when no operation takes place. The following settings are available.

  5. If you no longer wish to lock a station, navigate to the station and press the [Green] button again.
  6. The station is no longer locked.

Parental Guidance

In this menu you can set the value for the parental control query. The following choices are available.

Key Lock

In this menu you can switch the lock for the control buttons on the device "On" or "Off".

Set this item On or Off to enable or disable the automatic display of the subtitle.

Aspect Ratio

Use this menu item to set the image format. The following settings are available for selection.

Blue Screen

With this menu item you can set whether the device displays a black or blue image when no signal is present.

First Time Installation

With this menu item you can execute the first installation again.

Reset

With this menu item you reset the device to the factory settings. All settings made are reset.

Software Update (USB)

Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing one of our products. Our products undergo precise quality control in the course of production. If one of our devices gives you cause for complaint, or you have questions about one of our devices, please call our customer support.

We give a 36 month warranty on TV and SAT devices, and a 24 month warranty on portable DVD and audio devices from the date of purchase. Outside of the warranty, we offer you a paid repair based on a cost estimate. Please contact our customer support before submitting.

The warranty relates to material and production defects. Your device will be repaired or replaced during the warranty period. Unfortunately, UltraMedia cannot reimburse the purchase price. Damage caused by improper use, the use of third-party accessories, falls, dust, water damage and signs of wear (e.g. scratches, optical wear and tear) caused by the customer or external influences are excluded from the guarantee.

In order to assert the warranty claims, send the device with all accessories, a copy of the invoice and the description of the fault to the address given below. Devices that do not have a proof of purchase cannot be guaranteed. Please do not forget to include your full address and a telephone number / email address for any queries.

Shipping to us takes place at your own expense. Unpaid parcels cannot be accepted and are returned to the sender.

Please pack the device securely for transport. UltraMedia assumes no liability for damage in transit that occurs on the way to us. After receiving your submission, we will process your device as soon as possible and send it back to you.

Before sending your device in, please contact our customer support or your specialist dealer, as many problems can also be solved over the phone.
