How do I charge the SB240 soundbar?

Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the DC 5V socket on the back and plug the other end into a USB power source (5V/1A-2A). The charging indicator lights up red during charging and turns off when fully charged. First charge takes about 4-5 hours.

How do I connect my phone via Bluetooth?

Turn on the soundbar and press the Mode button until you hear "Bluetooth mode". On your phone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "SB240". The status LED will light up blue when connected.

What audio sources can I use?

You can use Bluetooth, AUX-IN (3.5mm cable), COAX (digital coaxial), USB stick (Type-A, max 32GB FAT32), or micro SD card (max 32GB FAT32). Supported file formats are MP3 and WAV.

How long does the battery last?

With a full charge, the battery lasts approximately 5 hours at moderate volume. Charging takes about 4-5 hours.

Can I wall mount the soundbar?

Yes, the SB240 has mounting points on the back. The distance between screws is approx. 40.2 cm. Mounting material (screws, dowels) is not included in the box.

Why does the soundbar turn off automatically?

The soundbar has an energy-saving function that switches to standby after 15 minutes without an audio signal in Bluetooth, AUX, or USB mode. Press and hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds to wake it up.

What do the buttons on the front do?

Volume (-) decreases volume, Volume (+) increases volume. Mode button cycles through input modes. Play/pause button toggles playback or puts the unit in standby (press and hold 3 seconds). Long press of volume buttons skips tracks in Bluetooth/USB/SD mode.

Is the soundbar waterproof?

No, the soundbar is not waterproof. Do not expose it to dripping or splashing water, high humidity, or immerse it in water.

What is the maximum USB/SD card size?

The USB and micro SD slots support devices up to 32GB in FAT32 format. Larger capacities or NTFS may not work.

How do I clean the soundbar?

Disconnect all cables and clean the exterior with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any liquids or cleaning agents.

Read the operating instructions carefully before using the unit for the first time and keep the instructions for future reference.

	Dangerous voltages inside the unit. Do not insert any objects into the openings in the housing. There is a risk of fatal electric shock.
	The operating and maintenance instructions (service) in this manual must be followed. Use of the appliance other than as described in this manual may result in damage to health, a defect in the appliance and invalidation of the warranty.
	The device is connected to a power adapter with a USB Type-C cable for use and to charge the battery. To avoid damage to the unit, only use original accessories that comply with the specifications in this manual.

	Position the unit so that an undisturbed supply of fresh air is always ensured. Do not place the unit on carpets or near curtains and do not install the unit in bookshelves.

If the unit stops working after coming into contact with water, do not connect the unit to the mains and disconnect the USB charging cable and all other connections from the unit. 5. Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or heat sources such as heaters or stoves and do not place naked flames such as candles on the appliance.

6. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

7. The unit has an integrated rechargeable battery and is connected to a DC 5V / max 2A power source for charging. The power cable serves as a disconnect device and must be easily accessible. To avoid damage to the unit, only use accessories and spare parts approved by the manufacturer.

8. Only place the unit in sufficiently ventilated environments. Place the unit on a flat and stable surface.

9. Do not expose to temperatures above +60°C. When installing the appliance, make sure that it is 30 cm from the back and the top of the appliance and 5 cm from each side.

10. Dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries in an environmentally friendly manner and follow the disposal instructions in this manual.

11. Clean the unit only with a dry cloth. To clean the unit, remove all connected cables and connections.

12. When the battery is fully charged or during a thunderstorm, disconnect the unit from the DC in port.

13. This unit has no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair this appliance yourself. Only qualified service personnel may perform maintenance. In the event of a defect, return the unit to your dealer or the manufacturer's service department.

16. The USB Type-C cable is used to disconnect the device from the mains and should be easily accessible at all times.

PREPARE THE APPLIANCE FOR USE

Unpacking and setting up

1. Carefully remove the appliance and accessories from the carton and remove all packing material from the appliance. Check that the accessories are complete.
2. Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the DC 5V socket (USB Type-C) on the back of the unit and connect the other side of the USB cable to a suitable DC 5V power source such as a TV/PC USB socket or mobile phone charging adapter. TV, PC and charging adapter are not included in the scope of delivery.
3. Place the unit on a stable and level surface.
4. Before first use, fully charge the built-in battery (approx. 4-5 hours).

Wall mounting

The sound bar can also be mounted on a wall if required. Required mounting material, screws and dowels are not included in the scope of delivery.

1. Transfer the two mounting points to a wall and use a spirit level to check that the markings are straight. The distance between the screws is:

• SB240: approx. 40,2 cm
• SB300: approx. 59,8 cm

Please be sure to check the distance using the soundbar mounting points.

1. Check that the screw heads of the screws used for wall mounting fit into the rear mounting points of the Soundbar.
2. Drill the two holes. Note that depending on the material of the wall, dowels may be needed for the screws.
3. When tightening the screws, let them protrude approx. 3-4 mm from the wall so that you can hang the Soundbar on them.

Control panel on the front

11	ON / OFF	Power slider: Switch the unit on or off.

This unit has an integrated 2200mAh lithium battery. To charge the battery or use the unit, use a power adapter for the power supply. The power adapter must comply with the specifications (DC 5V / 1A) of the soundbar. For example, you can use a mobile phone charging adapter as a power adapter. The power adapter is not included in the scope of delivery.

Battery charging

This unit uses a rechargeable lithium battery (battery capacity 2200mAh). Fully charge the unit (approx. 4-5 hours) before using it for the first time. The playback time with a fully charged battery is approx. 5 hours depending on the volume level set.

1. Plug the power cable into the mains socket and into the AC socket on the back of the unit.
2. The charging indicator shows the current battery status during charging.

• The battery is being charged: The charging indicator lights up red during charging.
- Battery low: When the battery is almost empty, a "battery low" announcement sounds. Please connect the unit to a DC 5V power source for charging.
- Battery fully charged: When the battery is fully charged, the status indicator no longer lights up red. Unplug the power cable to switch the unit to battery mode.

Note:

- Do not replace the battery yourself, this operation may only be carried out by qualified personnel.

Switch on / Switch off / Standby

1. To switch on the unit, set the power slider on the back of the unit to "On".
2. To switch off the unit, set the power slider on the back of the unit to "Off".
3. The unit switches in bluetooth, AUX-IN and USB mode to standby after 15 minutes if there is no audio playback.
4. To switch the unit on again from standby mode, press and hold the play/pause button for approx. 3 seconds.
5. To switch the unit from the switched-on state to standby mode, also press and hold the play/pause button for approx. 3 seconds.

Note:

• When the unit is switched on, it starts with the last active mode and the last volume setting.
• The standby function is not available in coaxial mode.

Select mode

1. Press the Mode button repeatedly to switch to the corresponding mode.
2. The mode is announced by a voice.
3. If no other device or source is connected to the soundbar, only Bluetooth mode is available.
4. When one of the following sources is connected to the soundbar, the unit automatically switches to the corresponding mode: Micro SD, USB, AUX-IN.
5. The following modes are available: BT mode (Bluetooth), TF Card Mode (Micro SD Card), USB mode (USB), AUX mode (AUX-IN) and Coaxial Mode (Coax Digital Audio Input)

Set volume

1. To set the desired volume, press the Volume (-) button or Volume (+) button.
2. When the maximum audio setting of the Soundbar is reached, a beep sounds.

Automatic switch off

• The unit has a power saving function according to the European ErP standard, which makes the unit switch to standby mode after 15 minutes without an audio signal in Bluetooth, AUX-In and USB mode. Press and hold the play/pause button for approx. 3 seconds to switch the unit back on.
• Please note that a low volume setting of the audio source can be detected as "no audio signal". This may affect the unit's signal detection capability and also trigger an automatic switch to standby mode. In this case, please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting of the audio source to resume playback.

You control the playback and volume for Bluetooth, USB and micro SD card mode with the following buttons.

BLUETOOTH MODE

Connect a device wirelessly via Bluetooth to the soundbar to play music from your external device on the soundbar. Only Bluetooth is received and not transmitted. No devices such as external Bluetooth speakers or Bluetooth headphones can be connected to the soundbar for external playback. Follow the steps below to start Bluetooth playback. Smartphones and other external devices are not included.

1. Switch on the soundbar.
2. Select the Bluetooth mode with the Mode button.
3. The soundbar will automatically pair with the last connected Bluetooth device when it is in range.
4. The connection status is indicated by the status LED.

• Connected: The status indicator lights up blue.
• Not connected: The status indicator flashes blue.

1. If the soundbar is paired with an external Bluetooth device for the first time, start the search for available Bluetooth devices on your external Bluetooth device, e.g. a smartphone.

2. Select the soundbar device from the list of found Bluetooth devices.

3. The connection is now established. If the two devices are paired, this is announced by a "Connected" announcement and the status LED lights up blue.

4. You control the playback and volume on your external device or the soundbar.

5. You can control playback with the buttons as described above under the item "Playback buttons".

6. To end the Bluetooth connection Disconnect the devices on your external device.

Notes:

• Bluetooth works best within 10 metres and outdoors without obstructions.
• If the basic volume on your external device is set too low, you may not be able to hear any sound from the soundbar. In this case, increase the volume on your external device.

Play music from a USB stick or micro SD card on the soundbar. USB sticks and micro SD cards up to a maximum of 32GB in FAT32 format are supported. The supported file formats are MP3 and WAV. Do not connect hard disks to the USB socket or use a USB extension to connect a USB stick to the unit, and do not attempt to charge USB devices via the USB port. You risk overloading the USB port and damaging the soundbar and the connected device. Please use only the USB Type-A port for playback. The USB Type-C port is only for charging the built-in battery. Proceed as follows to start playback.

1. Switch on the soundbar.
2. Insert a USB stick into the USB socket or a micro SD card into the micro SD card slot. Insert the micro SD card into the micro SD card slot with the printed side facing up until it clicks into place. To remove the micro SD card, push the micro SD card in a short distance. The card then moves out a little and can be removed.
3. The soundbar automatically switches to USB or micro SD card mode. An announcement announces the mode.

- USB mode: USB mode

• TF card mode: Micro SD card mode

1. You can also switch to the corresponding mode manually by pressing the Mode button.
2. Playback starts automatically after the USB stick or micro SD card has been read in.
3. You can control playback with the buttons as described above under "Playback buttons".

Note:

- Please do not use excessive force to insert the USB stick or micro SD card into the unit. You risk damaging the connections on the unit or the USB stick and the micro SD card.

AUX-IN MODE

Connect an external device such as a smartphone, TV or MP3 player to the soundbar using a 3.5mm audio cable to play music from your external device via cable. MP3 player, TV set and smartphone are not included.

1. Switch on the soundbar.
2. Connect your external device to the AUX port of the soundbar using a 3.5mm audio cable.
3. The soundbar automatically switches to AUX mode. An announcement says the mode "AUX mode".
4. You can also switch to AUX mode manually by pressing the mode button.
5. Start the playback on your external device.
6. Control the playback with the external device.
7. You control the volume on your external device and the soundbar.

Note:

- If the basic volume on your external device is set too low, you may not be able to hear any sound from the soundbar. In this case, increase the volume on your external device.

Connect an external device such as an audio player or TV to the soundbar with an RCA cable to play music from your external device via cable. Audio player or TV set are not included.

1. Switch on the soundbar.
2. Connect your external device to the COAX input of the soundbar using an RCA cable.
3. Press the Mode button to switch to AUX mode. An announcement says the mode "Coaxial mode".
4. Start playback on your external device.
5. You control the playback with the external device.
6. You control the volume on your external device and the soundbar.

Note:

- If the basic volume of the soundbar or your external device is set too low, you may not be able to hear any sound from the soundbar. In this case, increase the volume.

We give a 36 month warranty on TV and SAT devices, and a 24 month warranty on portable DVD and audio devices from the date of purchase. Outside of the warranty, we offer you a paid repair based on a cost estimate. Please contact our customer support before submitting.

The warranty relates to material and production defects. Your device will be repaired or replaced during the warranty period. Unfortunately, UltraMedia cannot reimburse the purchase price. Damage caused by improper use, the use of third-party accessories, falls, dust, water damage and signs of wear (e.g. scratches, optical wear and tear) caused by the customer or external influences are excluded from the guarantee.

In order to assert the warranty claims, send the device with all accessories, a copy of the invoice and the description of the fault to the address given below. Devices that do not have a proof of purchase cannot be guaranteed. Please do not forget to include your full address and a telephone number / email address for any queries.

Shipping to us takes place at your own expense. Unpaid parcels cannot be accepted and are returned to the sender.

Please pack the device securely for transport. UltraMedia assumes no liability for damage in transit that occurs on the way to us. After receiving your submission, we will process your device as soon as possible and send it back to you.
