How far should the speakers be from walls and each other?

Ideally, place speakers at least 60 cm from walls and 1.8 meters apart. For best stereo imaging, form an equilateral triangle with the listening position, with speaker spacing between 2 and 4 meters.

What amplifier power is recommended for the Speaker Box 3E?

The recommended amplifier power is 10 to 100 watts. Ensure your amplifier can handle a 4-8 ohm impedance load.

How do I connect the speakers to my amplifier?

Use high-quality speaker cables. Connect the positive (red) terminal of the speaker to the positive (red) amplifier terminal, and the negative (black) to negative. Always turn off the amplifier before connecting.

Should I use the speaker grills?

We recommend operating without grills for the best treble reproduction. The grills are acoustically transparent but can be used to protect the drivers from pets or dust.

Can I mount the speakers on a wall?

What should I do if I hear distortion?

Distortion indicates the amplifier is being overdriven (clipping). Reduce the volume immediately. Continuous clipping can damage the speakers. Always listen at moderate levels.

How do I clean the speakers?

Wipe the enclosure with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use any solvents, abrasives, or liquids. Avoid moisture entering the ports or drivers.

What is the warranty coverage?

Can I use these speakers with a subwoofer?

In order to achieve maximum performance and reliability you should study these instructions for use carefully.

Important notice.

Safety instructions

Avoid spilling liquids on speaker, connection terminal or speaker cable. Never place any item containing liquid, such as a flower vase on or near the device. Never place any naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on or near the speakers. The product shall not be used in damp or wet locations, next to a bathtub, sink, swimming pool or any other similar conditions.

Loudspeaker positioning

Ideally, the loudspeakers should be positioned at least 60 cm away from walls and 1,8 meters apart. The space between the two loudspeakers and the distance to the listeners are important. If loudspeakers are placed too close together or too far apart, stereo images will not be fully developed. In average living rooms, speaker spacing between 2 and 4 meters will usually produce satisfactory results. The listener's distance to the loudspeakers should be equal to the distance between the loudspeakers (equilateral triangle).

The height is also an important factor. The tweeter of the speaker should be on the same height as your ears. If you have the space, we always recommend using speaker stands. If not, we recommend using "Damp it" underneath your speakers. It decouples the speaker from the surface of the furniture, and you can also slightly adjust the height of the speaker.

Angle your speakers inward, so the drivers directly point to your ears. Toeing-in the speakers helps with the perception of the stereo image. You can decrease the toe-in angle to create a wider stereo image. Experiment to find your sweet spot!

Amplifier capacity - power handling

Your loudspeaker system will operate satisfactorily with any good amplifier designed for use with an 4-8 Ohm impedance load. Although loudspeakers are designed to handle high power loadings, you must remember that any loudspeaker that is abused with excessive use of volume, tone controls and graphic equalizers is likely to cause damage to the drive-units. Be careful especially with small amplifiers constantly driven on high power levels as these may be liable to go into "clipping mode" and distort the signal causing possible damage. If you hear a distorted signal through the loudspeakers, you must reduce the power level.

Connection to your amplifier

We strongly recommend the use of high-quality speaker cables, colour coded or grooved cables are recommended to assist checking polarity, your local dealer should be able to advise you on this point. Always switch OFF your amplifier before making any connections or adjustments to the system. Wire the right-hand channel cable so that the positive (RED) terminal of your loudspeaker is connected to the positive (RED) on your amplifier, and the negative (BLACK) terminal of your loudspeaker is connected to the negative (BLACK) terminal on your amplifier. Repeat the instructions for the left-hand channel. Do NOT connect more than one loudspeaker to one terminal on your amplifier.

Set the volume level to minimum before switching on the amplifier!

Speaker Grills

We recommend operating the speakers without grills, as the delicate treble can spread absolutely freely. Our almost acoustically transparent speaker grilles only serve as protection against outer influences (e.g. pets).
