Frequently Asked Questions - ACM-210B Aroma

How do I brew coffee with the Aroma ACM-210B?
Fill the water tank with fresh cold water up to the desired cup level. Place a paper filter or permanent filter in the basket. Add ground coffee (1 tablespoon per cup). Close the lid and place the carafe on the heating plate. Press the power switch to start brewing.
Can I use a permanent filter instead of paper filters?
Yes, the ACM-210B is compatible with #4 cone-shaped permanent filters. We recommend using a fine-mesh filter for best taste and easy cleaning.
What is the maximum capacity of the coffee maker?
The maximum capacity is 12 cups (60 ounces or 1.8 liters). Do not fill beyond the MAX line in the water tank.
How do I clean the coffee maker?
After each use, discard the used grounds and rinse the filter basket and carafe with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. For deep cleaning, run a cycle with a mixture of water and white vinegar (50/50), then rinse with two cycles of fresh water.
Why is my coffee weak or watery?
Weak coffee may be due to using too few coffee grounds, coarse grind, or old beans. Try increasing the amount of coffee, using a finer grind, or selecting a darker roast. Also ensure the coffee maker is clean and free from scale buildup.
What should I do if the coffee maker stops brewing mid-cycle?
Check if the carafe is properly placed on the heating plate. The anti-drip valve may stop brewing if the carafe is removed. If the power was interrupted, restart the cycle. If the issue persists, clean the water tank and filter basket.
How do I descale the Aroma ACM-210B?
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water (e.g., 4 cups each). Fill the water tank and place a paper filter in the basket. Run a brew cycle, then let the solution sit for 30 minutes. Discard the solution and run two full cycles with fresh water to rinse.
Does the coffee maker have an automatic shut-off feature?
Yes, the ACM-210B automatically turns off the heating plate after 2 hours for safety. The brew cycle itself will stop once the water tank is empty.
Can I brew only a few cups instead of a full carafe?
Yes, you can brew any amount from 1 to 12 cups. Just fill the water tank to the desired cup level. For small amounts, we recommend using less coffee accordingly.
What type of coffee grounds should I use?
Use medium-ground drip coffee. Avoid extremely fine grounds (like espresso) as they may clog the filter. For best flavor, use freshly ground beans.
