Frequently Asked Questions - MRH120E MISTRAL

How do I assemble the heater?
Remove the butterfly nuts from the lower part of the body frame. Insert the power cord through the slot in the base plate, then attach the body frame to the base plate and secure with the two butterfly nuts. Route the cord through the guide and secure with the clamp.
What are the heat settings and how do I use them?
The heater has 3 settings: setting 1 (400W), setting 2 (800W), setting 3 (1200W). First press the Power/400W switch to 'I'. Then use additional switches to turn on the second and third elements. The heater will only operate if the primary 400W switch is on.
How do I activate the oscillation feature?
Press the TURN switch to start oscillation. This will rotate the heater to distribute heat over a wider area. Press again to stop.
What should I do if the heater tips over?
The heater is equipped with a tip-over safety switch that automatically turns it off when tilted. Simply place the heater upright on a flat, solid surface to reset it. Ensure it is stable before operating.
How do I clean the heater?
Always unplug the heater and let it cool down. Wipe the exterior surfaces with a dry, soft cloth. Never use detergents, solvents, or spray liquids. Do not attempt to clean the interior or open the casing.
Can I use an extension cord or power board?
No. The heater must be plugged directly into a fixed domestic power outlet. Using extension cords, power boards, or double adaptors can cause overheating and fire risk.
Why does the heater smell or smoke when first used?
It is normal for new heaters to emit a burning smell, fumes, and a little smoke during the initial ‘burn in’ period. This lasts only a few minutes. Run the heater in a well-ventilated area until the odor disappears.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Keep the heater at least 1m away from flammable materials like curtains and furniture. Never cover the heater. Do not use in small rooms with occupants unable to leave unattended. Always supervise children and pets near the heater.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
Discontinue use immediately. The cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazard. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
What is the warranty period and how do I claim?
The heater has a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase (in Australia). To claim, take the product with proof of purchase to the place of purchase. The warranty covers domestic use only and excludes misuse or neglect.
