Use of the breathalyser
Preparation:
Press the ON/OFF button (2) once → the display (1) switches on and a signal tone sounds.
The display shows the "Warm up" symbol and a countdown counts down from 10 to 0 → the tester is now in preparation mode.

Note
Contaminants may accumulate on the surface of the sensor in the alcohol tester. If you are unpacking the unit for the first time or have not used it for a long time, you will need more time to clean and warm up the sensor by pressing the power button again and trying several times.
Test
The "Blow" symbol is displayed when the warm-up time is reached and the countdown from 10 to 0 is started, indicating that the breathalyser is in test mode.

Hold the inhaler about 4 cm from your mouth and blow into it for 3-5 seconds. Alternatively, keep blowing until you hear a beep. Read the test result on the LCD display of the breathalyser.
- the "Caution" symbol is displayed when the alcohol concentration corresponds to the level:
0.02 % BAC (or 0.2 g/l) to 0.05 % BAC (or 0.5 g/l). 0.05 % BAC (or 0.5 g/l) to 0.08 % BAC (or 0.8 g/l).
- The "Danger" symbol is displayed and an acoustic signal sounds when the alcohol concentration corresponds to the level:
above & equal to 0.05% BAC (or 0.5g/l). above & equal to 0.08% BAC (or 0.8g/l)

Automatic switch off
- after the result has been displayed for about 15 seconds, the display shows "OFF".
The symbol appears for 2-3 seconds and the alcohol tester is switched off.

If you do not blow into the inhaler in test mode, the value "0.00" is shown on the LCD display.
Note
To obtain a more accurate result, we recommend performing the test 2 - 3 times.
Low battery indicator
If the "L" symbol flashes when switching on, the batteries are exhausted, please replace them. Replace the batteries at the latest when their capacity is no longer sufficient for switching on and preparing.
Replace battery
Replace the batteries if the breathalyser can no longer be switched on or does not warm up properly and replace them with two "AAA" batteries.
Hanging function

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
The breathalyser, when used properly, can give a rough estimate of blood alcohol concentration (BAC), but it should not be used as the sole method of assessment. It is important to note that no testing device is completely reliable and inaccurate results may occur. The BAC value can fluctuate greatly within a short period of time. It is therefore recommended to consume alcohol responsibly and not to drive under the influence of alcohol.
Things that can affect the reading of your breath test
There are certain circumstances that can affect the accuracy of breathalysers. If one is aware of these circumstances, one can use the breathalyser to make estimates of the amount of alcohol, but it should not be considered an absolutely reliable method.
Please note:
• Use the breathalyser in the morning after a few drinks to get an estimate of the previous evening.
- Read the instructions carefully to ensure that you use the appliance correctly.
- Refill the sensor regularly to ensure the accuracy of the measurements.
- Wait at least 30 minutes after drinking and drink a glass of water before using the device. Clean the sensor thoroughly before each use.
• Take several measurements and leave at least 4 minutes between each measurement to ensure that residues from previous measurements do not affect it.
- Replace the device annually or after about 200 uses to maintain the accuracy of the measurements.
• Do not use the appliance immediately after drinking
- Do not rely solely on the Alcoholtester result to make decisions regarding alcohol consumption or driving ability.
- Do not use the unit after it has not been used for a long time without first cleaning and calibrating it thoroughly.
- Do not use the unit if the sensor or other parts are damaged or look worn.
• Use the breathalyser at least 30 minutes after drinking alcohol (we recommend using it the morning after to get an estimate of the previous evening).
- Use the breathalyser for at least 30 minutes after using breath spray, cough medicine, cigarettes, overripe fruit or other products containing alcohol as these may affect the test results.
- Conduct the test in a clean environment and not in an
environment where alcohol is present as this may affect the results.
- Wait until you are breathing normally again before using the breathalyser if you have been breathing rapidly (e.g. climbing stairs) or holding your breath, as this may affect the results.
- Do not use the breathalyser near chemicals such as benzene, thinner or petrol as these may affect the measurement results.
- Do not clean the breathalyser with chemicals or blow liquids into it.
- Do not use accelerating substances near the breathalyser, such as paint thinner, insecticides, alcohols, as these may affect the measurement results.
- Do not modify or tamper with the internal components of the unit as this may cause malfunction.
It is safest not to have alcohol in your blood when you are driving. Therefore, we recommend that you only use the breathalyser when you are sure that your blood alcohol content is below the legal limit. The device is intended as an aid only and should not be used to make decisions regarding driving ability or the operation of vehicles, machinery or equipment. Everyone reacts differently to alcohol and a person may already be unfit to drive below the legal blood alcohol limit.
Before using the breathalyser, make sure you have read the operating instructions and know the legal alcohol limits in your country. The manufacturers, distributors and sellers of the breathalyser accept no liability for improper use or loss or damage caused by actions you take after using the device.
How alcohol is absorbed by the body
Alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream through the mouth, throat and primarily through the stomach and small intestine. The more alcohol consumed, the higher the blood alcohol content (BAC) in the body. Approximately 90 minutes after consuming alcohol, it has evenly distributed in the bloodstream. This is called the "equilibrium point".
The liver is responsible for breaking down the alcohol in the body. Approximately 90% of the alcohol is converted into water and carbon dioxide through a process called oxidation, while the remaining 10% is excreted through the lungs and kidneys. A healthy liver can normally break down one unit of alcohol per hour, but the more alcohol consumed, the longer it takes to process each unit.
When one stops drinking alcohol, the state of intoxication can remain constant or even increase for up to 2 hours, depending on how much alcohol has been consumed and how quickly the alcohol enters the bloodstream. If one has eaten something while drinking, this process can be delayed because the alcohol is absorbed by the food in the stomach.
Important note
It is important to note that the manufacturer or importer accepts no responsibility for inaccurate measurement results or any consequences resulting therefrom, as the breathalyser is not approved for official measurement and is intended solely to provide a rough estimate of the alcohol concentration in the body. Due to the fact that many factors such as air pollution, smoke or different smells in the mouth can influence the measurement of the breath alcohol concentration, the results can only be used as a rough indication. We therefore recommend waiting about 30 minutes after eating, drinking or smoking a cigarette before performing the test.
Dispose of the appliance
The appliance must not be disposed of in household waste. Please dispose of it and the batteries in an environmentally friendly manner and in accordance with the applicable local regulations.
