How do I set the timer on the SHX20KH2000LD heater?

Press the Timer button on the remote or control panel, then use the +/- buttons to set the desired number of hours (1-12). The heater will automatically turn off after the set time.

What should I do if the heater stops working suddenly?

Check if the tip-over switch has been activated (if the heater fell over). Also ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. If it still doesn't work, press the Reset button on the back. If the issue persists, contact SHX support.

Can I use the heater in a bathroom?

This model is not rated for bathroom use. It is intended for dry indoor areas only. Using it in a bathroom may pose shock hazards.

How often should I clean the heater?

Clean the exterior and air intake at least once a month during use. Use a soft, dry cloth. Never use water or liquids. For deeper cleaning, remove the filter (if applicable) and gently vacuum it.

Does the heater have a remote control?

Yes, it comes with a remote control that allows you to adjust temperature, timer, oscillation, and power from a distance.

What is the recommended room size for this heater?

With 2000 watts, it effectively heats rooms up to 20-25 square meters (approximately 215-270 square feet), depending on insulation and ceiling height.

Is the heater safe to leave on overnight?

Yes, the heater has overheat protection and a tip-over switch. However, it is always recommended to turn it off when you leave the house or go to sleep. Use the timer to set an automatic shutoff.

How do I adjust the oscillation?

Press the Oscillation button on the remote or control panel. The heater will start to rotate left and right to distribute heat evenly. Press again to stop.

Why does the heater emit a burning smell when first used?

A slight burning smell during the first few uses is normal due to manufacturing residues heating up. Ensure good ventilation. The smell should dissipate after a few hours. If it persists, unplug and contact support.

Can I replace the power cord if damaged?

The power cord is not user-replaceable. If the cord is damaged, the heater must be repaired or replaced by a qualified technician to avoid safety hazards. Contact SHX for assistance.

1. Only use this device in accordance with the guidelines in the instructions. Any other use that is not recommended by the manufacturer could cause fire, electric shocks or personal injuries.

11. If the device is damaged, switch it off and contact the customer hotline.

13. Only Adults may use this device.
14. This appliance is not intended for use by children or people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person that is responsible for their safety.
15. Do not leave this appliance unattended whilst in use. Always turn it off when you leave the room.
16. Young children should be supervised to make sure that they don't play with the appliance.

27. Do not insert or allow any object to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock, fire or damage to the appliance.
28. When turning on the appliance there is a slight sound, which is normal due to the material that is expanding when it's heated and contracting when it's cooled, do not be worried.
29. Allow the appliance to cool down, before moving or cleaning it.
30. Always turn off the appliance, before unplugging it.
31. Do not remove the plug by pulling the cord, grip the plug instead.
32. Do not touch the plug with wet hands, to avoid electric shocks.
33. Always unplug the device, before cleaning, maintaining, moving it to another location or not using it for a long time.
34. Only carry the device by the handle.
35. Keep the heater in good condition by maintaining and cleaning it regularly. If you have any questions about the maintenance or cleaning, you can contact the customer hotline/service centre that is authorized by the manufacturer.
36. Store the device in a room without any ignition sources in operation (e.g. open fire, an operating gas device or an electric heater with an open heat source).
37. Store the device at a safe dry and for children inaccessible place when not in use. Do not cover the device with plastic packaging.
38. The packaging materials can be recycled. Therefore it is recommended to dispose them in the sorted waste.

The fan heater and the exiting are rare very hot! Therefore, never touch the fan heater during operation → this could otherwise lead to serious burns.

RISK OF OVERHEATING:

Do not heat rooms with a volume of less than 4m^3 .

START UP

The installation and operation of the SHX fan heater is very quick and uncomplicated:

1. INSTALLATION

1. Remove the packaging.
2. Make sure the device is not damaged.
3. Unwind the cord and make sure it is not damaged.
4. Place the device on a stable, flat surface that is insensitive to heat.
5. Insert the plug into a suitable socket.
6. To operate the remote control, please pull the plastic protection out of the battery compartment.

ATTENTION

Please follow the instructions for setting up the device very carefully.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTROL PANEL AND THE REMOTE CONTROL

You can either use the remote control or use the buttons on the control panel of the device to operate it.

When operating with the remote control, the remote must be pointed at the sensor on the device, that proper function is guaranteed.

3. COMMISSIONING THE REMOTE CONTROL

Please follow instructions below.

For the first operation with the remote control, please pull the plastic protection out of the battery compartment.

To change the battery please follow the instructions bellow:

1. Pull out the battery compartment, remove the old battery and then insert a new one:

1. Always pay attention to the polarity marking (+/-).

1. Afterwards put the battery compartment back into the remote.

4. SET FUNCTIONS

STAND-BY:

Press the main switch at the back of the appliance to "I". The current room temperature is shown and the °C indicator lights up on the display.

1. ON/OFF

Press the ON/OFF-button to turn on or turn off the device. When the device is turned on the fan starts working. The indicator lights up.

NOTE

When you turn off the device, it will keep operating for 30 seconds, to cool down. The indicator flashes.

2. HEATING MODE

Press the HEATING MODE-button to choose between low or high heating.

• Press 1x LOW heating display shows
• Press 2x → HIGH heating → display shows
• Press three times fan function

3. SET THE TEMPERATURE

Adjust the temperature by pressing (10-35^) . Press to increase the temperature or press to decrease the temperature.

NOTE

Please note:

• The device is heating with full power, when the room temperature is 4^ C lower than the set temperature.
• The device is heating with lower power, when the room temperature is between 0^ C and 2^ C lower than the set temperature.
• The device turns itself off automatically, when the room temperature is higher than the set temperature.
• As soon as the room temperature is 2^ C lower than the set temperature, the device turns itself back on.

4. OSCILLATION

Press the oscillation-button to activate the oscillation with this function, the blown air is directed to the left and right.

Press the button again to turn off the oscillation.

5. TIMER TASTE

You can use the timer to switch off the device in a time-controlled manner. Each time the button is pressed, the timer increases by 1 hour, up to max. 8 hours. The device shows the remaining operating time every hour until the fan heater switches off automatically.

To deactivate the timer, press the timer button repeatedly until "0H" appears on the display.

SAFETY MEASURMENTS

The SHX fan heater is equipped with protective devices that protect the device and are designed to prevent a fire.

Please note that neither mechanism is an auto stop or other comfort function. Always switch the device off, pull out the mains plug and wait until the heater cools down before you move, clean or store the device.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

If there is any risk of overheating (e.g. when device is covered) the overheat protection switches off the device.

As soon as the device cooled down it turns back on automatically and continues operating as before.

WARNING

A common cause of overheating are deposits of dust or lint in the device. Therefore, clean the device regularly and remove these deposits with a vacuum cleaner.

TIP-PROTECTION

As soon as the device is tilted a few degrees from its vertical position, if you lift the device or accidentally knock it over, the anti-tip device releases and the device switches off.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Before cleaning the device, turn it off, unplug it and allow it to cool down.

Cleaning the casing:

Clean the device by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth and afterwards wipe it dry.

Cleaning the air filter

The air filter is located on the back of the device - we recommend cleaning it after every week of operation.

To do this, press the tab down and remove the grille. Then remove the filter to be able to clean it. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust collected in the filter and grille. If the filter is very dirty, you can immerse it in warm water and rinse it several times.

After washing, let the filter dry well before returning it to the device.

• Do not dip the device in water or splash it with any other liquid.
• Do not use gasoline, alcohol or solvents for cleaning the device.
• Do not spray insecticides or similar means on the device.
• Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
• DO NOT COVER THE DEVICE – RISK OF FIRE!

ACTIVITIES AT THE BEGINNING / END OF THE SEASON

At the end of the season

• Turn off the device and unplug it afterwards.
• Let the heater cool down completely.
• Pack up the appliance and store it in a cool, dry place.

At the beginning of the season

• Check that the power supply cable is OK and that the socket is working properly.
• Follow the installation and safety instructions carefully.

WARRANTY

By purchasing a SHX quality product you have acquired an innovative, long lasting and reliable item.

For this SHX device we grant a warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase, valid in Austria only.

In the unlikely event that service work is required on your device in this period we warrant free repair (spare parts and labour) or (subject to Schuss's decision) to replace the product. In the event that neither repair nor exchange make sense from an economical perspective we reserve the right to issue a credit based on current value.

When dealing with air conditioning devices you should always contact the customer hotline first (see label on the device or the title page of the instruction manual), in case of fans contact your dealer or us directly. Please note that repair not performed by the authorised workshop in Austria immediately renders this warranty void.

This warranty does not include:

• Repair of replacement of parts due to normal wear
- Damage due to non-compliance with the instruction manual
• Devices that are used commercially – even in part
• Devices damaged by external forces (falling, impact, cracking, improper use etc.) as well as aesthetic wear
• Devices that have been used improperly
• Devices that were not opened by our authorised workshop.
- Unfulfilled customer expectations.
- Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning and overvoltage.
- Devices on which type denomination and/or serial number on the device have been erased, rendered illegible or removed.
- Service work not performed by our authorised workshops, transport costs to an authorised workshop or us and back as well as associated risks.

Please note that within the warranty period we charge a flat rate of 60 € (indexed as per consumer price index 2010, June 2015) in case of operating errors or if no fault can be found.

The total warranty period of 2 years is not extended if warranty service is performed (repair or device replacement).

The 2 year warranty is only valid if the original invoice (must contain name and address of the dealer as well as full device name) and the respective warranty certificate are produced, on which the device type and serial number (can be found on the box and the device's rear or bottom) are to be noted! Only the statutory warranty coverage applies if the warranty certificate cannot be produced!

Please note that the statutory warranty coverage is not altered by this warranty and that it applies in full regardless.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents are only liable for damages in case of gross negligence or intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but not incurred savings, consequential damages and damages from third party claims is excluded in any case.
