Preparing for use
Inserting the battery
Note: Make sure your hands and product are dry when you insert the battery.
1 To remove the battery compartment cover, turn it clockwise until the setting indicator points to the 'unlocked' indication (^) (Fig. 2).
2 Pull the battery compartment cover off the handle (Fig. 3).
3 Put the battery in the battery compartment (Fig. 4). Make sure the + and - poles of the battery point in the right direction.
Note: The product operates on one replaceable lithium AA 1.5-volt battery (included).
4 Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the handle (Fig. 5).
5 Turn the battery compartment cover counterclockwise until the setting indicator points to the 'locked' indication (0) (Fig. 6).
Using the product
Use the product for the following purposes:
- Trim your eyebrows with the eyebrow comb attached to the trimming head.
- Trim your ear, nose and neck hair with the trimming head.
- The rotary trimmer can also be used to trim ear and nose hair.
Rinse the cutting element of each attachment with lukewarm water after each use.
Be careful to always keep cutting element away from eyes and eyelashes.
For hygienic reasons, the product should only be used by one person.
Apply gentle pressure. Pressing too hard may cause skin irritation, and the trimmer will not function properly.
Do not use trimmer on sensitive areas or irritated skin.
Switching the product on and off
1 To switch on the product, slide the on/off slide upwards.
2 To switch off the product, slide the on/off slide downwards.
Detaching and attaching the attachments
Note: Switch off the product before attempting to detach or attach the attachments.
1 To detach an attachment from the handle, firmly grip the attachment below the cutting element and turn it until the setting indicator points to the 'unlocked' indication (^).
2 Lift the attachment off of the handle.

2 Firmly grip the attachment below the cutting element and turn it until the setting indicator points to the 'locked indication (0).
Trimming eyebrows with the eyebrow guard
1 Comb your eyebrows in the direction of hair growth (Fig. 7).
2 Make sure the product is switched off. Slide the eyebrow comb onto the trimming head (Fig. 8). The short eyebrow comb trims the hairs to a length of 1/8 in, 3 mm. The long eyebrow comb trims the hairs to a length of 13/64 in, 5 mm.
Note: Make sure the comb slides into the grooves on both sides of the trimmer.
3 Switch on the product.
4 Move the comb over the eyebrow from the outer tip of the eyebrow towards the base of the nose (against the direction of hair growth) (Fig. 9).
5 Clean thoroughly after each use (see 'Cleaning').
Trimming ear hair
Make sure your outer ear channels are clean and free from wax.
Note: Remove eyebrow combs before trimming nose or ear hair. (Fig. 10)
1 Switch on the product.
2 Slowly move the trimming head along the rim of the ear to remove hairs that stick out beyond the rim.
Do not insert the trimming head more than 13/64 in, 5 mm into your ear channel, as this could damage the eardrum.
1 Carefully insert the trimming head into the outer ear channel.
2 Slowly turn the trimming head around to remove all unwanted hairs from your outer ear channel (Fig. 11).
Tip: The rotary trimmer can also be used to trim hairs in the outer ear channel.
3 Clean thoroughly after each use (see 'Cleaning').
Trimming nose hair
Make sure both the product and nasal passages are clean before trimming. Dried nasal mucus can block the cutting element, preventing the product from turning on.
Note: Remove eyebrow combs before trimming nose or ear hair. (Fig. 10)
1 Switch on the product.
2 Slowly move the trimming head along the rim of the nostril to remove hairs that stick out beyond the rim.
3 Carefully insert the trimming head into one of your nostrils.
Do not insert the trimming head more than 13/64 in, 5 mm into your nostrils.
4 Slowly move the trimming head around inside each nostril (Fig. 12), making sure the side of the trimmer is held firmly against the skin. (Fig. 13) This will reduce the tickling effect that can occur.
Tip: The rotary trimmer attachment can also be used to trim hairs in the nostrils.
5 Clean thoroughly after each use (see 'Cleaning').
You can also trim your neck hair using the trimming. Pull skin taut with one hand and place the trimming head gently on the skin. Move the trimming head slowly over the skin against the direction of hair growth making sure the trimming head is in complete contact with the skin.

Cleaning
Cleaning the trimming head
Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, or rinse it under the tap.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean the product or any attachments or accessories.
Do not tap on the cutting elements.
Do not use any sharp objects to clean the cutting elements.
Clean the trimming head immediately after use and when a lot of hair or dirt has accumulated on the cutting elements.
1 Use the cleaning brush to remove any excess hair from the cutting element. (Fig. 14)
2 Rinse the cutting element of the trimming head with hot water.
3 Switch on the product and rinse the cutting element and trimming head again (Fig. 15) to remove any remaining hairs. Then switch off the product again.
Tip: If rinsing the trimming head under the tap is not sufficient, immerse the trimming head in a glass with warm water
for a few minutes (Fig. 16). Then switch on the product and rinse it under the tap.
4 Rinse the combs with lukewarm water (Fig. 17). You can also use the cleaning brush to clean the eyebrow combs.
5 Carefully shake off excess water and let all parts air dry (Fig. 20).
Cleaning the rotary trimmer
Clean the rotary trimmer immediately after use and when a lot of hair or dirt has accumulated on the cutting elements.
1 Use the cleaning brush to remove any excess hair from the cutting element.
2 Switch on the product and rinse the nose hair trimmer with hot water (Fig. 18).
3 Turn off the product and remove the rotary trimmer attachment.
4 Turn the attachment upside down, and rinse it with lukewarm water (Fig. 19).
5 Carefully shake off excess water and let all parts air dry (Fig. 20).
Storage
Store the product in a safe, dry location. Ensure that the product and accessories are completely dry before storage, or before inserting them into the pouch if provided.
