Dear Customer!

This manual contains information and important instructions for the installation and correct use of the heat gun HL 2000.

Following the usual commercial name of the device (see cover) is substituted in this manual with the name "machine".

This manual is part of the product and shall not be stored separately from the product. Save it for later reference and if you let other people use the product, add this instruction manual to the product.

Please read and obey the security instructions!

Before first use read this manual carefully. It eases the correct use of the product and prevents misunderstanding and damages of product and the user's health.

Due to constant advancements in product design, construction pictures and content may diverse slightly. However, if you discover any errors, inform us please.

Technical specifications are subject to changes!

Please check the product contents immediately after receipt for any eventual transport damage or missing parts.

Claims from transport damage or missing parts must be placed immediately after initial product receipt and unpacking before putting the product into operation.

Please understand that later claims cannot be accepted anymore.

The machine only in technically perfect condition, for their intended safety, and use risk-conscious! Faults which could impair safety, must be rectified immediately!

It is generally forbidden to modify safety equipment on the machine or to make ineffective! Working conditions:

9.2 Prohibited use

• The operation of the unit under conditions outside the limits specified in these instructions is not permitted.
• It is not permitted the operation of the machine with materials that are not specifically mentioned in this manual.
• Any changes in the design of the machine are not permitted.
• Operating the machine in a manner or for purposes contrary to the instructions of this manual to 100%, is prohibited.

For another, or use beyond that and resulting damage or injuries accepts HOLZMANN MASCHINEN no responsibility or warranty.

9.3 Safety information

To avoid malfunctions, damage and physical injury MUST be observed:

• Safety must be observed and regularly inspected for completeness!
• Warning signs and / or labels on the machine which have been removed must be replaced immediately!

DANGER

Unauthorized modifications and tampering with the machine immediately invalidate all warranty and damage claims.

- With fatigue, lack of concentration or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or drugs is prohibited to work with the machine!

• The machine may only be operated by trained waiting personnel.
• The machine may only be operated by qualified personnel enrolled.
• Unauthorized persons, especially children, and not trained persons must be kept away from the running machine!
• Ensure that no other persons in the danger area (minimum distance: 2m) stop

• When working on the device, do not wear loose jewelry, loose clothing or long hair out (use a hairnet!).
• Loose objects may get caught and cause injury!

• Risk of poisoning! When working with plastics, paints or similar materials, gases that can be aggressive or toxic develop. Avoid breathing vapors, even if they appear to be harmless. Take care. Always a good ventilation of the work area or wear a respirator
• When working with the device is suitable protective equipment (Goggles, respirator) to wear!

• Before carrying out maintenance or adjustment work the machine must be disconnected from the power supply! Off the main switch before disconnecting the power supply (OFF).
• Use the power cord Never transport or manipulation of the machine!

• Use unmodified, in the appropriate socket connector (no adapter in earthed equipment)
• Every time you work with an electrically operated machine, caution is advised! There is a risk of electric shock, fire, cutting oneself;

FIRE HAZARD! Heat can reach combustible materials that are hidden behind coverings, in ceilings, floors or cavities, and ignite them.

Examine the work area and start preparatory work Renounce the use of hot air tool. Do not set up the device to the same place for a long time.

FIRE HAZARD! An unattended operation of the hot air tool can cause fire on the objects that are near. The unit must be monitored during operation at any time. If you allow it to cool the device is switched off, you turn it off always vertical and standing. Let cool completely the device.

FIRE HAZARD! When working with plastics, paints or similar materials, gases that are highly flammable and can cause explosions develop.

Always be prepared for eventual flame development and keep suitable fire extinguishing agents ready.

• Use power tools never around flammable liquids and gases (risk of explosion!)
• Check the cord regularly for damage on a regular basis
• Use the cable never to wear the device
• Avoid physical contact with earthed parts
• Avoid contact with the machined surfaces, which can become very hot then.

You use the appliance for heating fluids or to dry objects or Materials, which can be destroyed by the influence of hot air

• Protect the machine from moisture (short circuit!)
• Outdoors only with an extension cord suitable for outdoor work.

DANGER

Check and follow the instructions! Non-compliance can result in severe injury or death! HOLZMANN Maschinen can not be held liable for accidents if the safety instructions are not followed!

9.4 Residual risks

Despite its intended use, certain residual risk factors can not be completely eliminated. Due to construction and design the device can perform the following risks occur:

- Risk of shortages of the device

If one or more parts fault of the equipment, the use of the appliance is prohibited. Defective parts must be replaced immediately. Only manufacturer-approved replacement parts are used. Modifications on the device are forbidden. Check each time before the machine is in perfect condition!

- Risk of electric shock

Operate the unit only to a power source, which is protected by an RCD! Outlets must be properly installed, grounded and checked! Check the plug and supply current network only by an electrician!

- Danger due to unintentional switching on the device.

Avoid accidental starting. Make sure that the switch is in the "OFF" position is before you insert the plug into the socket.

10 OPERATION

10.1 operating instructions

10.1.1 Safety instructions for hot air guns

WARNING: Unintentional starting or unexpected energization of the heating element after actuation desthermischen relay can lead to injuries. Make sure that the switch is set to OFF when connecting the device to the mains.

Attention! - Hot air radiators are not relevant to humans or animals.

• In operating areas which are covered by the explosion protection regulation, the hot-air guns should not be used.
• To avoid danger of explosion when hot air work, need to ensure a good natural or artificial ventilation.
  • Before any work pulling the hot air gun the power plug from the outlet.
• Wear a respirator and goggles.

10.1.2 Uses

• shrinking of sleeves, solder joints and solder terminals, packaging and electrical components.
- deformation of objects made of acrylic, PVC and polystyrene, tubing, plates and profiles as well as moist woods.
- Welding of thermoplastic polymer, flooring made of PVC and linoleum, PVC-coated fabrics, tarpaulins and foils.
- Soldering of tin, SMD elements, cable lugs, special silver solder and solder joints to dissolve.
- Removal of paint - Removal of old and even thick layers of oil paint, varnish and synthetic gypsum.
- Drying of color nuances templates, filters, adhesives, construction joints and stucco forms.
- Bonding of large joints with a sizing adhesives, activation of pressure-sensitive adhesives, acceleration of the bonding process, the release of splices and releasing or bonding of edge seal or veneer.
- Defrosting of icy stairs and steps, door locks, trunk lids, car doors or water pipes, as well as for defrosting refrigerators and coolers.
- Disinfection with hot air of 480 °C, so you can quickly rid the cowsheds / barns of bacteria. Woodworm infestation can be controlled (Caution: fire hazard Do not heat the wooden surface excessively on!)

10.2 operating

Before connecting to the mains, please make sure that the mains voltage is identical to the specification on the nameplate.

Setting the temperature:

The desired temperature value is set with the minus or plus keys of the 12 possibilities.

Switch ON:

Set according to the temperature to be reached the switch to position 1 or 2.

Switch OFF:

To cool the unit, set the switch to 1 and lowest temperature.

If the appliance has cooled, turn the switch to 0.

WARNING: The unit 1 minute lowest temperature (50 ° - Level 1) leave to cool in operation before the device is switched off completely.

11 MAINTENANCE

ATTENTION

During cleaning and maintenance with connected machine:

Property damage and serious injury from inadvertent switching on the machine!

Therefore:

Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply before any maintenance works or cleaning is carried out

11.1 Cleaning

The full and regular cleaning of the machine ensures a long life and is a safety requirement. Use only mild detergent, ie no gasoline, kerosene, soda etc ...

Keep the vents clean to work well and safely.

11.2 Disposal

Do not dispose the machine in residual waste. Contact your local authorities for information regarding the available disposal options. When you buy at your local dealer for a replacement unit, the latter is obliged to exchange your old.

12 ERSATZTEILE / SPARE PARTS

With original Holzmann spare parts you use parts that are attuned to each other shorten the installation time and elongate your products lifespan.

IMPORTANT

The installation of other than original spare parts voids the warranty! So you always have to use original spare parts

When you place a spare parts order please use the service formular you can find in the last chapter of this manual. Always take a note of the machine type, spare parts number and partname. We recommend to copy the spare parts diagram and mark the spare part you need.

13 EG-KONFORMITÄTSERKLÄRUNG / CE-CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY

Hereby we declare that the above mentioned machines meet the essential safety and health requirements of the above stated EC directives. Any manipulation or change of the machine not being explicitly authorized by us in advance renders this document null and void.

Please consult our troubleshooting section for initial problem solving. Feel free to contact your HOLZMANN reseller or us for Customer Support!

Warranty claims based on your sales contract with your HOLZMANN retailer, including your statutory rights, shall not be affected by this guarantee declaration. HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN grants guarantee according to following conditions:

A) The guarantee covers the correction of deficiencies to the tool/product, at no charge, if it can be verified adequately that the deficiencies were caused by a material or manufacturing fault.

B) The guarantee period lasts 12 months, and is reduced to 6 months for tools in commercial use. The guarantee period begins from the time the new tool is purchased from the first end user. The starting date is the date on the original delivery receipt, or the sales receipt in the case of pickup by the customer.

C) Please lodge your guarantee claims to your HOLZMANN reseller you acquired the claimed tool from with following information:

Original Sales receipt and/or delivery receipt

Service form (see next page) filed, with a sufficient deficiency report

for spare part claims: a copy of the respective exploded drawing with the required spare parts being marked clear and unmistakable.

D) The Guarantee handling procedure and place of fulfillment is determined according to HOLZMANNs sole discretion in accordance with the HOLZMANN retail partner. If there is no additional Service contract made including on-site service, the place of fulfillment is principally the HOLZMANN Service Center in Haslach, Austria.

Transport charges for sending to and from our Service Center are not covered in this guarantee.

E) The Guarantee does not cover:

- Wear and tear parts like belts, provided tools etc., except to initial damage which has to be claimed immediately after receipt and initial check of the product.

- Defects in the tool caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper assembly, insufficient power supply, improper use, abnormal environmental conditions, inappropriate operating conditions, overload or insufficient servicing or maintenance.

- Damages being the causal effect of performed manipulations, changes, additions made to the product.

- Defects caused by using accessories, components or spare parts other than original HOLZMANN spare parts.

- Slight deviations from the specified quality or slight appearance changes that do not affect functionality or value of the tool.

- Defects resulting from a commercial use of tools that - based on their construction and power output - are not designed and built to be used within the frame of industrial/commercial continuous load.

F) Claims other than the right to correction of faults in the tool named in these guarantee conditions are not covered by our guarantee.

G) This guarantee is voluntary. Therefore Services provided under guarantee do not lengthen or renew the guarantee period for the tool or the replaced part.
