Frequently Asked Questions - KLC7000 Columbia Vac

How do I install the exhaust hose?
Attach the connector to one end of the outlet pipe and connect the other end to the warm-air outlet on the back of the unit. Then mount the connector onto the adjustable window panel. Ensure the hose is not bent sharply and is as short as possible (max 1500 mm).
Can I use an extension cord with this air conditioner?
No, do not use extension cords or splitters. Plug the unit directly into a properly rated wall socket.
What does the 'WATER FULL' indicator mean?
The internal water tank is full. The compressor stops automatically. Turn off the unit, drain the water manually from the rear drain hole (plug 13), or connect a continuous drainage hose to the continuous drain outlet.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the air filter every 2 weeks. Remove it by opening the filter cover, wash with warm water and mild detergent, rinse, and dry thoroughly in the shade before reinstalling.
Why does the unit keep restarting frequently?
Possible causes: direct sunlight on the unit (close curtains), open windows/doors or too many heat sources (close doors/windows, remove heat sources), or a dirty filter (clean or replace). Also ensure the air inlet/outlet are not blocked.
Can I use the dehumidification mode without the exhaust hose?
No, the exhaust hose must be connected to remove moisture to the outside. Otherwise, the unit will not effectively dehumidify.
What is the safety distance from flammable materials?
Keep the unit at least 50 cm away from flammable substances (e.g., alcohol, aerosols) and other heat sources.
What should I do if the unit emits a strange smell or sound?
Immediately turn off the unit, unplug it, and contact an authorized service center. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
How do I store the unit at the end of the season?
Drain any water, run the fan mode for 2 hours to dry the interior, clean and dry the filter, remove the exhaust pipes, and cover the unit with a plastic bag. Store in a dry place.
Why is the compressor not working?
The compressor has a self-protection feature. If it stops, wait 3 minutes before restarting. If it still doesn't work, check if the water tank is full or if the room temperature is too low. If problems persist, contact a qualified technician.
