Frequently Asked Questions - Mist HU-7W WILFA

How do I set the timer on the Wilfa Mist HU-7W?
Press the Timer button on the remote or control panel. Use the + and - buttons to set the desired hours (up to 24). The unit will turn off automatically after the set time.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the washable mesh filter every two weeks for optimal performance. Remove the filter, vacuum or rinse with water (let it dry completely before reinstalling).
Why is water leaking from my air conditioner?
The unit collects condensation. If the built-in water tank is full, the appliance will stop and indicate a full tank. Drain the tank via the drain plug. In dehumidify mode, a continuous drain hose can be attached.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, do not use an extension cord. Plug the air conditioner directly into a grounded wall outlet rated for the required current (220-240 V, 10 A minimum).
What does the 'E2' error code mean?
E2 typically indicates a frozen evaporator coil. Turn off the unit and let it defrost for a few hours. Check if the air filter is clean and ensure proper airflow.
How do I switch between cooling and fan mode?
Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through Cool, Fan, Dehumidify, and Sleep modes. The selected mode will be indicated on the display.
Is the air conditioner noisy?

Do I need to vent the exhaust hose?
Yes, the exhaust hose must be directed outside through a window or vent. The unit comes with a window kit. Without proper venting, the appliance will not cool effectively.
How do I reset the filter cleaning reminder?
After cleaning the filter, press and hold the Filter button (if available) for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off. Refer to the manual for exact steps.
What is the recommended room size for this unit?
