SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Before use make sure to read all of the below instructions in order to avoid injury or damage, and to get the best results from the appliance. Make sure to keep this manual in a safe place. If you give or transfer this appliance to someone else make sure to also include this manual.

In case of damage caused by user failing to follow the instructions in this manual the warranty will be void. The manufacturer/importer accepts no liability for damages caused by failure to follow the manual, a negligent use or use not in accordance with the requirements of this manual.

  1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the IM are for reference only.

  2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

  3. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

  1. Means "DO NOT COVER".

  2. Before inserting the plug into the mains socket, please check that the voltage and frequency comply with the specifications on the rating label.

  3. Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket.

  4. Disconnect the mains plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and before cleaning.

  5. Ensure that the mains cable is not hung over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and open flames.
  6. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!
  7. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord.
  8. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and send it to an authorized service center for repair.
  9. Do not plug or unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet with a wet hand.
  10. Never attempt to open the housing of the appliance, or to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause electric shock.

USE

  1. Plug in the appliance.
  2. Open the front door. The switches are located behind the front door.
  3. Select your desired working functions:

- Switch (3a): Switch on/off the power and flame effect

Note: This switch must be in the position "I" for unit to operate with or without heat.

  • Switch (3b): Switch on/off low heat output
  • Switch (3c): Switch on/off high heat output with switch (3b).

Note: This switch cannot work separately. It must work together with switch (3b).

  1. Rotate the thermostat knob (1) clockwise or anticlockwise to increase or decrease your desired room temperature setting. Make sure it is set above the current room temperature. Otherwise, the appliance will not begin to heat.
  2. Rotate the flame knob (2) clockwise or anticlockwise to increase or decrease the flame effect. Note: The flame effect can be operated with or without heat.

SAFETY CUT-OUT

Warning: This appliance is fitted with a built-in safety cut-out. If the cut-out gets activated the unit stops to work. Unplug the appliance from the mains and check that the air intake area is not blocked or covered. Leave for an hour. Reconnect and switch on the appliance.

MAINTENANCE

Before carrying out maintenance work, disconnect the appliance from the power supply!

Lamp replacement

  1. Loosen the nine screws that fixed the back metal cover. Take off the back metal cover.

  2. A G9 halogen bulb is located underneath.

  3. Remove the defective bulb by pulling it out of the lamp holder. (see the figure below)

  4. Replace with a 25W G9 halogen bulb. Take care not to touch the bulb with bare hands and ensure that the bulb is pushed in place.

  5. To reassemble, follow the above instructions in reverse order.

- The metal parts are lacquered and can be cleaned by simply using a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive material.
