Can I add butter or oil to the popcorn chamber?
No, never add butter, oil, or any other substance to the popping chamber. This machine uses hot air circulation to pop kernels, and adding fats can cause damage or smoking.
Can I use microwave popcorn in this machine?
No, do not use microwave popcorn. Only use fresh popcorn kernels suitable for air poppers.
How long can I operate the popcorn maker continuously?
Do not operate for more than 5 minutes at a time. Allow a 15-minute break before starting another cycle to let the motor cool down.
How do I clean the popcorn maker?
Unplug and let it cool. Wash the top cover, transparent cover, and measuring cap in warm soapy water. Wipe the interior popping chamber and base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main body or plug in water.
What should I do if the popcorn is burning or smoking?
Immediately turn off the appliance by pressing the switch to 'O' and unplug it. Allow it to cool. This can happen if you overfill the kernel cap or use old/stale kernels. Ensure you use the correct amount of fresh kernels.
Can I wash the popcorn maker in the dishwasher?
No, do not place any part of the appliance in the dishwasher. Only hand wash the removable parts with mild soap and water.
What type of bowl should I use to catch the popcorn?
Use a heat-resistant bowl. Metal bowls can become hot, and plastic bowls must withstand heated air. The included top cover can also serve as a bowl.
Why are some kernels not popping?
It's normal for a few kernels to remain unpopped due to variations in kernels. Ensure you are using fresh popcorn and not underfilling the measuring cap.
