Get the most out of your water heater
Electric water heaters are tanks that generate and accumulate hot water. Its operation is very simple, but in your day to day may appear different problems that you could fix yourself. At Infiniton we help you with that and much more.
Where can I install it?
Before making the purchase, it is important to know where we are going to place the appliance. Generally, it should be close to the bathroom, as we do not want it to lower the temperature of the water as it travels through the pipes to the bathroom.
So the best solution to place it is directly in the bathroom, the closest possible place to the point of use of the hot water (it avoids water temperature losses due to the water flowing through the pipes). In addition, we need an electrical outlet and a water outlet as close as possible. The areas that have an exit to the outside, for example, a terrace, balcony, garage, will decrease the energy efficiency since we will need more electrical energy to reach and maintain the desired temperature, since it is a colder area. It is advisable to insulate the roof, as well as the hot and cold water pipes.

When installing an electric water heater we must take into account a series of considerations and care for its correct operation. We will show you a list of measures that you should apply for the care of this appliance:
Do not leave it on if you are going on a trip
If you are going on vacation or on business for several days, turn off the water heater completely...
Check your water system
The general functioning of all the pipes in the house influences the performance of the electric boiler.
That is why we must make sure that the pipes are working properly.
Check the water inlet and outlet
One of the places that can present the most problems in an electric water heater is the water inlet or outlet. Check for leaks that waste water and affect the heating.
Clean the inside of the container
It is advisable to clean the inside of the water tank frequently. To do this we must disconnect it from the electric current and uncover the tank, and then clean it with a damp cloth. All this without using any chemical or corrosive agent.
Pay attention to this user's manual
The most effective way to maintain the good condition of an electric water heater is to follow the manufacturer's instructions. That is why we must study with some attention the user, maintenance and installation manuals.
General security
The water heater is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the heater.
The wall on which the electric water heater is installed must be able to withstand the load of more than twice the heater completely filled with water without warping or cracking. If this is not the case, other reinforcement measures must be taken.
The socket outlet must be reliably grounded. The installation height of the socket must not be less than 1.8m. The rated current of the socket must not be less than 16A. The socket and plug must be kept dry to avoid electrical leakage. If the power cord is damaged, the special power cord supplied by the manufacturer should be used and replaced by professional service personnel.
The maximum inlet water pressure is 0.5MPa; the minimum inlet water pressure is 0.1MPa, which is necessary for proper operation.
When using the heater for the first time (or when using it for the first time after maintenance), the heater cannot be started until it has been completely filled with water. During water filling, at least one of the heater's outlet valves must be opened to evacuate air. This valve can be closed once the heater is completely filled with water.
The pressure relief valve enclosed with the heater should be installed on the cold water inlet of this heater, ensuring that it is not exposed to fogging. Water may flow out of the pressure relief valve, so the outlet pipe should be wide open to the air. To drain the water inside the inner vessel, it can be drained from the pressure relief valve. Loosen the threaded screw of the pressure relief valve and lift the drain lever upwards (see Fig. 1). The drain pipe connected to the pressure relief port must be kept sloped downward and in a frost-free environment. Water may drip from the discharge tube of the pressure relief device and that this tube should be left open to the atmosphere.
During heating, water droplets may fall out of the pressure release orifice of the pressure relief valve, which is a normal phenomenon. The pressure release orifice must not be blocked under any circumstances, otherwise the heater may be damaged, even causing accidents. If a major water leakage occurs, contact the customer service center for repair.
The pressure relief valve should be checked and cleaned regularly, to ensure that it is not blocked.
Since the water temperature inside the heater can reach 75^ C. the hot water should not be exposed to the human body when it is used for the first time. Adjust the water temperature to a suitable temperature to avoid scalding.
If any part or component of this electric water heater is damaged, please contact the customer service center for repair.

-
This electric water heater must be installed on a strong wall. If the wall cannot support a load equivalent to twice the total weight of the water-filled heater, it will be necessary to install a special support. In case the wall is made of a hollow material, be sure to fill it completely with a layer of cement concrete.
-
After selecting a suitable location, determine the position of the two installation holes used for the extension bolts with hook and drill two holes in the wall with the corresponding depth by using a drill bit with the size matching the expansion bolts connected with the heater, insert the bolts, place the hook upwards, tighten the nuts to fix firmly, and then hang the electric water heater (see Fig.2).

- Install the wall outlet. The socket must be 220V. It is recommended to place the socket on the right side, above the heater. The height of the socket to the floor should not be less than 1.8m (see Fig.3). In case of failure of the power cord, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service technician or a qualified person to ensure safety.

- If the bathroom is too small, the heater can be installed elsewhere. However, in order to reduce heat losses from the piping, the place of installation of the heater should be as close to the heater as possible.
PIPING CONNECTION
- Pipe sizes should be G1/2"; Maximum inlet pressure should be expressed in Pa; Minimum inlet pressure should be expressed in Pa.
- Connection of the pressure relief valve with the heater at the inlet of the water heater.
- To avoid leakage when connecting the pipes, the rubber sealing gaskets supplied with the heater should be added at the end of the threads to ensure leak-proof joints (see Fig.4).
- If you wish to make a multi-outlet supply system, refer to the method shown in Figures 5 and 6 to connect the piping.
- The installation of electrolyte sleeves is mandatory. Recommended by the manufacturer to maintain the warranty.
- The magnesium anode must be checked annually.

WARNING! Before performing any maintenance, turn off the power.
WARNING! Non-professionals are not allowed to disassemble the thermostat to reset it. Please contact professionals to do the maintenance. Otherwise, our company will not be responsible if any accident occurs.
- Check the plug and socket as often as possible. There must be a safe electrical contact and proper grounding. The plug and socket must not become excessively hot.
- If the heater is not used for a long time, especially in regions with low ambient temperature (below 0°C), it is necessary to drain the water from the heater to avoid damage to the water heater due to freezing of the water in the inner tank. (Refer to the precautions in this manual for the method of draining the water from the inner tank).
- To ensure reliable and durable operation of the water heater, it is recommended to regularly clean the inner tank and remove deposits on the electric heating element of the water heater, as well as check the condition (completely decomposed or not) of the magnesium anode and, if necessary, replace it with a new one in case of complete decomposition. The frequency of cleaning the tank depends on the hardness of water located in this territory. Cleaning should be carried out by special maintenance services. You can ask the seller for the address of the nearest service center.
Safety valve
This electric boiler is fitted with a one-way safety valve. It should be installed in the water inlet port sector. When the pressure is higher than 0.8MPa , this valve will automatically release the pressure. There may be a water leakage in the pressure relief orifice sector, therefore, this orifice should never be blocked (Diagram 1).
To empty the tank, follow the instructions below.
If you need to empty the tank, first close the water inlet valve, then lift the plastic water inlet latch, then lift the water inlet latch again and allow the water in the tank to drain naturally (Diagram 2).
