Frequently Asked Questions - MW 800 G-3 Exquisit

How do I set the clock on my Exquisit MW 800 G-3 microwave?
After plugging in, the display shows 0:00. Press the Clock/preset button, then turn the rotary knob to set the hours (0-23). Press Clock/preset again, turn to set minutes (0-59), and press Clock/preset to confirm.
What cookware is safe to use in the microwave?
Use heat-resistant glass, porcelain, stoneware, ceramics, or microwave-safe plastic. Do not use metal, aluminum foil (except small pieces), or containers with gold/silver decoration. Always test by placing an empty vessel with a glass of water in the microwave for 60 seconds at high power; if the vessel becomes hot, it is not suitable.
How do I use the defrost function?
Press the KG button for weight defrost (DEF1) or the timed defrost button (DEF2). For weight defrost, turn the knob to set weight (100-2000 g) and press Quick start. For timed defrost, turn the knob to set time (up to 95 min) and press Quick start. Turn food halfway through for even results.
Why does steam accumulate on the door and condensation form?
This is normal. Steam escapes through vents and condenses on cooler surfaces like the door. It does not affect performance. Wipe condensation with a soft cloth after cooking. This occurs more in humid conditions or at low room temperatures.
How do I install the microwave under a cabinet?
Use the provided drilling template. Ensure the cabinet base is 16-19 mm thick, at least 500 mm wide, and can support 40 kg. Drill 7 mm holes, remove dummy plugs on top of the microwave, and secure with the supplied screws and washers. Keep 30 cm clearance above, 20 cm sides, and 10 cm rear.
What are the auto cook programs?
There are 8 programs: A-1 Automatic heating, A-2 Vegetables, A-3 Fish, A-4 Meat, A-5 Noodles, A-6 Potatoes, A-7 Pizza, A-8 Soup. Each has preset weights (e.g., 200-600 g). Press Automatic programmes, select the program, set weight, and press Quick start.
How do I use the grill function?
Press Micro/grill/combination repeatedly until only the grill power level (P100 for 100% grill) is displayed. Set cooking time with the rotary knob (up to 95 min) and press Quick start. The microwave will pause halfway and beep twice to remind you to turn the food.
How can I program multiple cooking stages?
You can set up to 3 stages. For example, 20 minutes at 100% microwave power then 5 minutes at 80%: Press Micro/grill/combination to select P100, set time, then press again to select P80, set time, and press Quick start. Note that auto programs cannot be used in multi-stage cooking.
Why won't my microwave start?
Check that the power cord is plugged in securely. If the fuse or circuit breaker has tripped, replace it (by a qualified electrician). Ensure the door is fully closed. If still not working, test the socket with another appliance. If the problem persists, contact After Sales Service.
How do I clean and maintain the microwave?
Unplug before cleaning. Wipe the cooking chamber with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or oven sprays. The glass turntable and roller ring can be washed in the dishwasher. Clean the control panel with a soft cloth. Keep the door seal free of debris.

RISK OF INJURY!

  • Use only cookware that is suitable for use in the appliance.
  • When using microwave cookware, pay attention to the manufacturer's instructions. Unsuitable cookware may burst.

Do not use any other rotary tables in the appliance. Do not operate the appliance if the rotary table or roller ring are not correctly installed.

Suitable

Cookware of heat-resistant glass, porcelain, stoneware, ceramics, glass ceramics or heat-resistant plastic is suitable for use in the microwave oven, but attention must be paid to the use of the oven (microwave, grill, convection).

Limited suitability

  • Aluminium foil can be used in small pieces for covering delicate parts of food, e.g. when defrosting poultry. Take care that the aluminium foil does not come into contact with the inner walls of the cooking chamber.
  • Open, shallow metal vessels, such as aluminium trays, can be used for heating ready-made meals.

Not suitable

  • Do not use cookware with gold or silver decoration. This can cause sparks and the decoration could be destroyed.
  • Lead crystal glass can burst and should therefore not be used.
  • Do not use metal vessels. This can cause sparks. Containers with metal handles, metal wires or metal fittings are generally not suitable for use.
  • Remove wire clips, etc. from containers before placing them into the appliance.
  • Wooden vessels or melamine resin containers are not suitable.
  • Do not use containers with narrow openings (e.g. bottles).
  • Do not use meat thermometers that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer as suitable for use in microwave ovens.

To be able to heat the food in the microwave oven, it must be ensured that the microwaves can penetrate the food and that the cookware does not reflect or absorb them. The cookware and accessories should therefore be selected carefully. In addition to the material, the shape of the container must also be considered. Round, oval shapes produce an even cooking result. Square or rectangular containers can overcook food in the corners, as more energy is absorbed in these places. Flat containers give the best cooking results.

Porcelain and ceramic utensils are ideal for the microwave. Most types of glass are also suitable.

Plastic and paper can be used if it can withstand the temperature of the warmed food. Only use plastic for cooking that can withstand temperatures above 120^ C, e.g. polypropylene and polyamide. Some plastics (e.g. melamine) are heated by the microwave and can be damaged.

Suitability test for cookware

Place the empty vessel and a glass of water into the cooking chamber. The water is required so that the appliance does not operate empty or with only the empty vessel. Switch on the microwave oven at the highest power level for 60 seconds. If the cookware becomes hot during this process, it is not suitable for use in microwave ovens. A suitable vessel only becomes hand-warm.

A wide range of accessories are available in the trade.

Make sure that:

• that the crockery and accessories are suitable for microwave ovens.
- that the food, containers or lids do not come into direct contact with the inner wall. This could lead to discolouration.

Unpacking the appliance

The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be connected to the mains power supply. In case of damage, contact the supplier.

Exquisit MW 800 G-3 - Unpacking the appliance - 1

CAUTION

17 Tips for use of the microwave oven

You can’t find setting recommendations for the quantity of food to be preparedExtend or shorten the cooking times according to the following rule of thumb:Double the quantity: double the timeHalf the quantity: half the time
The food has become too dry.Next time, set a shorter cooking time or select a lower microwave power. Cover the dish and add more liquid.
The food is not yet defrosted, hot or cooked at the end of the set time.Set a longer time. Larger quantities of food require a longer time.
At the end of the cooking time, the food is overheated at the edge, but not yet cooked in the middle.Stir once or twice during heating and next time set a lower power and longer time.
After defrosting, the poultry or meat is cooked slightly on the outside but not yet defrosted in the middle.Select a lower microwave power the next time. If large quantities of food are to be defrosted, turn several times.

Condensation may form on the door window, walls and base. This is normal. It does not impair the function of the microwave. Wipe out the condensation after cooking.

18 Cleaning and maintenance

When cleaning, select the water temperature so that there is no risk of scalding!

Before cleaning:

Switch off the microwave oven

Remove the plug from the plug socket.

Exquisit MW 800 G-3 - Cleaning and maintenance - 1

Clean the cooking chamber regularly. Wipe residues of food off the walls of the cooking chamber using a damp cloth. Use only mild detergents to remove more stubborn soiling.

The use of strong cleaning agents is not recommended.

Do not use oven spray or other aggressive oven cleaners or scouring pads; rough sponges and pan cleaners are unsuitable. These agents scratch the surface, which can lead to the glass breaking. Allow the inner surface to dry thoroughly.

The housing of the appliance should be wiped with a damp cloth. Ensure that no water gets into the appliance through the ventilation openings, as otherwise the appliance could be damaged.

Clean the control panel with a soft cloth.

During operation, condensation may form on the viewing window of the appliance due to evaporation of moisture inside and outside and may drip under the door. This is a normal occurrence and can occur more frequently at low room temperatures and with high humidity. It does not impair the safety of the appliance. After operation, wipe up the condensation with a soft cloth.

Clean the glass rotary table with standard cleaning agents or in the dishwasher.

Always keep the roller ring and the floor surface of the cooking chamber clean. Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent to clean the floor and then wipe it dry.

The roller ring can be cleaned in a dishwasher. Make sure that the roller ring and the rotary table are in the correct position after cleaning.

A steam cleaner must not be used for cleaning.

If the fault cannot be remedied following the instructions given above, please call our After Sales Service. On no account should you carry out any further work, particularly not on the electrical parts of the appliance.
