1.2 Intended use

The appliance is intended for private/household use. It is suitable for the heating and cooking of food.

• Every other form of use is not considered an intended use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage.
• Do not use the appliance for purposes other than Cooking/freezing food. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage.
• For safety reasons, modifications or alterations to the appliance are not permitted.

Any use outside these areas of application is not in accordance with the intended use and is therefore considered improper use.

9.1 Safety and responsibility

Safety of children and persons with limited capabilities

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensomotoric or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge:

• if they are supervised or instructed on the safe use of the appliance.
  • and understand the associated dangers.
• Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance. Keep children away from the appliance!
  • Children must not be allowed to clean the appliance.
• Risk of injury from individual cleaning operations.

Observe the following in order to avoid the risk of burns, electric short-circuit, fire, injuries or microwave radiation:

Persons with heart pacemakers should keep away from this appliance. It cannot be assured that every heart pacemaker available on the market meets the directives for safety and electromagnetic compatibility, and that no interference is caused that endangers their proper function.

Service or repair orders requiring the removal of the shield against radiation exposure due to microwave energy may only be carried out by qualified electricians.

If the cookware is marked as suitable for use in microwave ovens, use it in accordance with the other safety instructions.

Suitable

Cookware of heat-resistant glass, porcelain, stoneware, ceramics, glass ceramics or heat-resistant plastic is suitable for Install the appliance oven, but attention must note to the use of the oven (microwave, grill, convection).

\*) Limited suitability

• Only use aluminium foil in small pieces for covering delicate parts of food, e.g. when defrosting poultry. Take care that the aluminium foil does not come into contact with the inner walls of the cooking chamber.
• Use open, shallow metal vessels, such as aluminium trays, for heating ready-made meals.

Not suitable

• Do not use cookware with gold or silver decoration. This can cause sparks and the decoration could be destroyed.
• Lead crystal glass can jump and therefore it should not be used.
• Do not use metal vessels. This can cause sparks. Containers with metal handles, metal wires or metal fittings are generally not suitable for use.
• Remove wire clips, etc. from containers before placing them into the appliance.
• Wooden vessels or melamine resin containers are not suitable.
• Do not use containers with narrow openings (e.g. bottles).
• Do not use meat thermometers that are not expressly approved by the manufacturer as suitable for use in microwave ovens.

To be able to heat the food in the microwave oven, it must be ensured that the microwaves can penetrate the food and that the cookware does not reflect or absorb them. The cookware and accessories should therefore be selected carefully. In addition to the material, the shape of the container must also be considered. Round, oval shapes produce an even cooking result. Square or rectangular containers can overcook food in the corners, as they absorb more energy in these places. Flat containers give the best cooking results.

Porcelain and ceramic utensils are ideal for Install the appliance. Most types of glass are also suitable.

Use plastic and paper if it can withstand the temperature of the warmed food. Only use plastic for cooking that can withstand temperatures above 120^ C, e.g. polypropylene and polyamide. Some plastics (e.g. Melamine) can be damaged by heating in the appliance.

Suitability test for cookware

Place the empty vessel and a glass of water into the cooking chamber. The water is required so that the appliance does not operate empty or with only the empty vessel. Switch on the appliance at the highest power level for 60 seconds. If the cookware becomes hot during this process, it is not suitable for use in microwave ovens. A suitable dish only becomes hand-warm.

A wide range of accessories are available in the trade.

Make sure that:

• That the dishes and accessories are microwave safe.
• That the food, containers or lids do not come into direct contact with the inner wall. This could lead to discolouration.

10 Putting into operation

The packaging materials must be undamaged. Inspect the appliance for transport damage. On no account should a damaged appliance be put into operation. In case of damage, please contact After Sales Service.

Packaging materials (e.g. plastic film, polystyrene) can be dangerous for children. Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children!

Packaging materials

Dispose of the packaging materials in an environmentally safe manner.

Removing transport protection

The appliance and some of the interior parts are secured for transport.

• Remove all adhesive tape.
• Glue residues can be removed with leach water.
• Remove all adhesive tapes and packaging parts from the inside of the appliance.

Electrical connection

• The Appliance oven has a mains plug and may only be connected to a properly installed plug socket.
• In the event of a defect, the plug socket may only be replaced by a qualified electrician.
• The appliance is equipped with a plug, only connect it to a properly installed grounded socket.
• The mains voltage must correspond to the specifications on voltage indicated's nameplate.

Setting up the appliance

Set up in the appliance in a well-ventilated, dry room. The ambient temperature has an influence on the electricity consumption and the proper function of the appliance.

- Place the microwave Appliance on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface that can withstand the weight of the microwave oven.

- Do not operate the Appliance oven in the vicinity of heat sources, easily flammable substances or at locations with high humidity.

- Set up the Appliance oven at a height of at least 85 cm.

- Ensure that the ventilation slots in the top, sides and rear are not blocked by other objects. Leave a space of 30 cm at the top, 20 cm on the sides and 10 cm at the rear.

- The plug socket for the appliance plug must be easily accessible in order to be able to disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply in the event of an emergency.

Place the Appliance oven on a stable, flat surface.

The mains power cable never be pinched or covered. A damaged mains supply cable may only be replaced by Technical Service.

Do not use the appliance for other than its intended purpose (e.g. for heating rooms).

Do not hold or carry the appliance at the handle during transport or cleaning.

CAUTION

RISK OF INJURY!

- A damaged power supply cable must be replaced by the supplier, dealer or After Sales Service service without delay to avoid hazards.

- Do not operate electrical appliances with wet hands.

Basic Cleaning

Before using the appliance first time, clean the appliance and the accessories thoroughly with warm water and a little detergent and rub theem dry. For further information, see Cleaning and Maintenance.

Heating up for the first time

Heating up for the first time prepares the new appliance with grill function for use. Odour and smoke development occurring during heating up for the first time are normal and no cause for concern.

- Ensure good ventilation of the room so that odours and smoke can be dispelled quickly. Depending on the situation, possibly open windows or switch on the ventilation. During the heating-up process, the heat eliminates any possible production residues.

Hot surfaces! Do not touch. Keep children away!

The appliance is ready for operation after completion of the heating process, cleaning and use of the accessories.

10.1 Operation

The Appliance has a modern electronic control system for setting the parameters, so that they can be better adapted to the needs during cooking.

WARNING

EXPLOSION HAZARD!

• On no account should liquids or other foods be heated in airtight sealed containers.
• Unpeeled and hard-boiled eggs with a shell must not be warmed up in the appliance, as they could explode.
• When warming up drinks in the appliance, always start with a spoon in the glass/jar to avoid explosive liquids in the cooking cavity. Remove containers from the appliance with the greatest care. When heating liquids, always place a spoon in the vessel to prevent boiling retardation.

WARNING

RISK OF BURNS!

The contents of baby bottles and jars with baby food must be poured into other vessels and stirred damaged, you must after heating. Before eating, check the temperature to avoid severe burns.

• Do not heat oil for frying.
• Pierce the skin of potatoes, apples and other fruit and vegetables with a fork before heating.

Do not allow food to boil over.
Do not use paper, plastic or other combustible materials for cooking, cooking, grilling, etc.
Remove all clips from plastic bags.
Do not open the door of the microwave oven during operation.

Cooking in the Microwave

1. Press the "MICROWAVE" button

→ 30 sek. are shown on the display.
→ Press further to increase the time up to a maximum of 60 minutes.
→ The microwave power corresponds to P100 (700W)
→ The selected time is shown on the display.

1. Press the START/+30sec. button to confirm.

Defrost (defrost) after Time

6. Press the "DEFROST" button

→ 30 sek. are shown on the display.
→ Press further to increase the time up to a maximum of 60 minutes.
→ The microwave power corresponds to P35 (245W)
→ The selected time is shown on the display.

1. Press the START/+30sec. button to confirm.

➢ Each time a button is pressed, a signal sounds
➢ Use the "Stop/Cancel" button to delete the time setting
➢ Press the "Start" button within 1 minute of setting the time, otherwise the entry will disappear.
Once the time has elapsed, a signal sounds every two minutes, up to a maximum of 10 minutes.

Time setting: 0-5 min:. 30 cycles of seconds; 5-60 min: Every 1 minutes

11 Troubleshooting

FAULT	POSSIBLE CAUSE	REMEDY
Microwave oven does not start	Mains power cable not correctly plugged in	Pull the plug out of the plug socket. Wait 10 seconds then plug in again.
	Fuse has blown or circuit breaker has tripped.	Have fuse or circuit breaker replaced by qualified personnel..
	Problems with the plug socket	Test the plug socket using a different electrical appliance.
	Appliance door is not completely closed.	Close the appliance door.

NORMAL

Interference with radio and TV reception	Interference with radio and TV reception may occur during operation of the microwave oven. This is similar to the interference caused by small electrical appliances, such as mixer, vacuum cleaner or fan.
Weak oven lighting	At low microwave powers, the oven lighting may also be weaker.
Accumulation of steam at the door, hot air rises out of the openings	During cooking, the food can steam. Most of the steam escapes via the openings, But some vapours accumulate at cool locations, such as the microwave oven door.

12 Cleaning and Care

CAUTION

RISK OF SCALDING!

When cleaning, select the water temperature so that there is no risk of scalding!

• Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before cleaning.
• Clean the cooking chamber at regular intervals.
• Wipe residues of food off the walls of the cooking chamber using a damp cloth.
• Use only mild detergents to remove more stubborn soiling.
• The use of strong cleaning agents is not recommended.

ATTENTION

APPLIANCE DAMAGE!

Do not use oven spray or aggressive oven cleaners. Scrubbing pads, rough sponges and scouring pads are not suitable. These products scratch the surface.

Dry the inner surface thoroughly after cleaning.

• Wipe the housing of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure that no water gets into the appliance through the ventilation openings, as otherwise the appliance could be damaged.
• Clean the control panel with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning and care agents, even from spray cans. Leave the door of the microwave oven open during cleaning so that it does not start inadvertently.
• During operation, evaporation can cause condensation to form on the inside and outside of the viewing window of the appliance and to possibly drip down under the door. This is a normal occurrence and can occur more frequently at low room temperatures and with high humidity. It does not impair the safety of the appliance. After operation, wipe up the condensation with a soft cloth.
• Clean the rotary table The the bottom of the cooking chamber at regular intervals. Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rub dry. Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning.

13 Tips for use of the microwave oven

You can’t find setting recommendations for the quantity of food to be prepared.	Prolong or shorten the cooking times according to the following rule of thumb: Double the quantity: double the time Half the quantity: half the time
The food has become too dry.	Set a shorter cooking time or select a lower microwave power. Cover the food and add a little more fluid.
The food is not yet defrosted, hot or cooked at the end of the set time.	Set a longer time. Larger quantities of food require a longer time.
At the end of the cooking time, the food is overheated at the edge, but not yet finished in the middle.	Stir once or twice during heating and next time set a lower power and longer time.
After defrosting, the poultry or meat is cooked slightly on the outside but not yet defrosted in the middle.	Select a lower microwave power the next time. If large quantities of food are to be defrosted, turn several times.

Condensation may form on the door window, walls and base. This is normal. This will not affect the microwave's function Wipe out the condensed water after cooking.

14 Disposal

Disposal of packaging materials

Sort packaging materials before disposal. Paper and cardboard with the waste paper and plastic film in the recycled materials bin.

Disposing of old appliances (EN)

Old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the product or its packaging means that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste but requires separate disposal. You can return the old appliance free of charge to a suitable municipal collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. a recycling centre. You can obtain the addresses from your city administration or local government.

Alternatively, you can return old electrical appliances with an edge length of up to 25 cm free of charge to retailers with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400 m ^2 or food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800 m ^2 who offer electrical and electronic equipment at least several times a year.

Larger old appliances can be returned free of charge to an appropriate retailer when purchasing a new appliance of the same type that performs essentially the same functions as the new appliance. Please contact your dealer regarding the modalities of returning an old appliance when delivering the new appliance.

Please remove - if possible - all (rechargeable) batteries as well as all lamps that can be removed without destroying them before disposing of the product.

Please note that you are responsible for deleting personal data from the appliance to be disposed of.

Children can often not recognise the hazards associated with household appliances. Ensure the necessary supervision and do not let children play with the appliance.

Disposing of old appliances

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the product or its packaging means that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste but requires separate disposal. You can return the old appliance free of charge to a suitable municipal collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. a recycling centre. You can obtain the addresses from your city administration or local government.

Alternatively, you can return old electrical appliances free of charge when you buy a new appliance of the same type and with the same function from an offline retailer. Please contact your dealer regarding the modalities of returning an old appliance when delivering the new appliance.

Please note that you are responsible for deleting personal data from the appliance to be disposed of.

The appliance may contain substances that can endanger the environment and human health if disposed of incorrectly. Material recycling helps to reduce waste and conserve resources. By collecting old appliances separately and recycling them, you help prevent negative impacts on the environment and human health.

15 Warranty Terms

As the buyer of an Exquisit appliance, you are entitled to the statutory warranty under the purchase contract with your dealer. In addition, we grant you a warranty on the following terms:

Warranty Period

The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales Service will fix defects in the appliance free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 18 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.

In the case of commercial use (e.g. in hotels, canteens) or joint use by several households, the warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales Service will fix defects in the appliance free of charge on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 6 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.

The claim under warranty does not prolong the warranty period for either the appliance or for newly installed parts.

Scope of the defect remedy

Within the periods indicated, we will remedy all defects in the appliance that are demonstrably attributable to poor workmanship or material flaws. Replaced parts become our property.

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear, intentional or negligent damage, damage caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper set-up or installation or by connection to incorrect mains voltage, damage due to chemical or electrothermal effects or due to other abnormal environmental conditions, glass, paint or enamel damage and possible colour differences as well as defective bulbs.

Defects in the appliance resulting from transport damage are also not covered. We are also not obliged to perform defect remedies, if – without our express written authorisation – work is carried out on the Exquisit appliance by unauthorised persons or third-party parts have been used. This limitation shall not apply to faultless work carried out by a qualified person using our original parts to adapt the appliance to the technical safety regulations of another EU member state.

Scope

Our warranty applies to appliances purchased and in operation in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.

In the case of complaints about defective appliances, the sender's and recipient's addresses must be in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.

For appliances purchased and operated in other European countries, the warranty conditions of the seller apply.

For repairs outside the warranty period:

If an appliance is repaired, the repair invoices are payable immediately without deduction.

If an appliance is inspected or a started repair is not completed, flat-rate travelling expenses and labour costs will be invoiced.
