TOOLS REQUIRED
- Panel removal tool • Phillips screwdriver
• T-20 Torx driver
Attention! Let the vehicle sit with the key out of the ignition for a few minutes before removing the factory radio. When testing the aftermarket equipment, ensure that all factory equipment is connected before cycling the key to ignition.
DASH DISASSEMBLY
- Unclip the air vents, unplug and remove (do not cycle the key while unplugged). (Figure A)
- Remove two T-20 Torx from the radio and lift up on the two tabs located at each mounting point. (See detail)
- Slide the factory radio out paying attention to the runners on the sides.

- Unclip the trim at the bottom of the radio and unscrew the factory buttons to be relocated to the button trim panel in kit assembly.
- Remove two T-20 Torx screws from the bottom of the factory radio screen assembly and remove.

KIT PREPARATION KIT ASSEMB
- Secure the button panel hooks to the button housing with (4) #4 x 3/8" Philips screws included. (Figure A)
- Assemble the factory buttons into the button housing and button trim panel with the (5) #4 x 3/8" Philips screws included. Note: blanks are included for different vehicle options. (Figure B)
- Attach the (2) supplied panel clips to the radio housing. (Figure C)

- Attach the radio brackets to the radio using screws supplied with the radio, and then secure into the dash opening. NOTE: the radio mounting screws must be flush in the brackets so the radio assembly will fit into the dash opening. (Figure A)
- Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash, and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra and/or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the radio for proper operation.
- Snap the radio trim panel over the radio and reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly. (Figure B)
- Install button assembly starting with the button panel hooks at the top and then snapping the bottom in. (Figure C)
