How long does it take to charge the FAC-300 for the first time?

Charge for at least 16 hours before first use. The red LED on the base indicates charging; it turns off when removed.

Can I use this device on sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin, do not use the Pore Refiner suction more than twice in the same area. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

How often should I use the MicroDermabrasion system?

Use 2–3 days a week on non-consecutive days for best results.

How do I clean the attachments?

Remove attachments and rinse them under warm water. Do not rinse the main unit; wipe it with a damp cloth. The unit is not waterproof.

Can I use the Pore Refiner around my eyes?

Do not hold the suction cup in one area for more than 2 seconds to avoid skin discoloration. If spots appear, discontinue use until they heal.

Is the device waterproof?

No, the unit is not waterproof. Do not immerse in water or rinse under tap. Only the attachments can be rinsed.

How do I use the mist feature?

Pull back the tab on the mist chamber, fill with a narrow stream of running water, close tab, then press the mist button to dispense a cool mist.

What is the warranty period for the FAC-300?

Thank you for purchasing the MicroDermabrasion Total Facial Care System. This facial system is built with high quality craftsmanship to ensure years of dependable use.

HoMedics is dedicated to bringing you better health through innovation. However, you should never substitute this, or any other manufacturer's product, for professional medical attention. Persistent ailments and symptoms could indicate a more serious condition.

Instructions For Use

To Charge:

Follow this procedure before you use this product for the first time.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

1. Plug the charger base into a 120-volt outlet. Place the unit into the base and allow it to charge for at least 16 hours before using it for the first time.
2. The indicator light on the base will glow red when the unit is correctly placed in the charger base. This is an indication that the unit is charging. The red LED indicator will turn off when the unit is removed from the base.
3. The optimum voltage for charging is 120V.
4. To maintain the unit's full performance, it should always be placed back on the charging base after use.

NOTE: Charge for at least 16 hours before using the unit for the first time

NOTE: For best results, use this unit after a shower or after you have steamed your face so that pores are open and ready for deep cleansing.

To Use the Spinning Attachments:

1. Select the desired attachment to begin your facial.

2. Cleansing Brush – Use with your favorite soap or facial cleanser provided to gently cleanse face and neck

3. Microdermabrasion Sponge – Use with MicroDermabrasion Cream to exfoliate

4. Snap on attachment (Fig. 2).

5. Select your desired speed – Press the on / off button once for LO and twice for HI. Corresponding LEDs will light to indicate LO or HI.

6. When finished, turn the unit off, remove and rinse the attachment.
7. Place facial unit back into the charging base.

To Use the Pore Refiner suction attachments:

For safe use, always follow these Safety Guidelines:

• DO NOT hold suction cup in one area for more than 2 seconds at a time. Apply the cup and remove quickly to avoid purple spots or skin discoloration.
• Use small suction cup only in the nose area and the large suction cup for the cheeks, forehead, and chin.
• Limit the length of time you use on your face – up to 1 minute around nose area and 4 minutes in the cheeks, forehead, and chin.
• DO NOT use around and between your eyes, head, hairline, or on areas where skin is relatively thin.
• DO NOT use on pimples, blemishes, sunburned or broken skin, or inflamed areas.

• If you have sensitive skin, DO NOT use more than twice in the same area.

• Select the desired attachment to begin your deep pore cleansing.

• Large Pore Refiner – Removes impurities deep below the skin's surface around the forehead, chin, and cheeks

• Small Pore Refiner – Removes impurities below the skin's surface around the nose

• Secure the attachment to the facial unit.

• Select your desired speed - LO for gentle suction and HI for more suction.

• Apply the small Pore Refiner attachment to cleanse the nose area.
• First dampen the nose area, then apply the suction cup. Work area for approximately 1 minute. Do not hold in one area for more than 2 seconds.
• Apply the large Pore Refiner to cleanse the cheeks, chin, and forehead areas.
• Work around these areas for approximately 4 minutes. Move from center of face to sides. Do not slide across face. Lift up with a slight twist and move to next area.
• Mist your face to close your pores. Then rinse your face and apply moisturizer.
• When finished, turn the unit off and remove and rinse the attachment.
• Place facial unit back into the charging base for storage.

To Use Mist Feature:

1. Pull back tab on the mist chamber (Fig. 3)
2. Place chamber under a narrow stream of running water. NOTE: Do not allow unit to be heavily immersed or submerged in water.
3. Close tab.
4. Press the mist button (Fig. 1) to dispense a cool gentle mist.

- Use Cleansing Brush attachment with facial cleanser in circular motions on your face to prepare your skin.

- Use Large and Small Pore Refiner attachments to clean your pores and remove impurities from below the skin's surface.

Step 3

- Apply a thin layer of MicroDermabrasion Cream to the MicroDermabrasion Sponge Applicator.

- Dot the sponge onto your forehead, chin, cheeks and nose. - Tum the facial unit to LO or HI and massage the MicroDermabrasion Cream into your skin using slow, upward circles, concentrating on each area. Do not exceed intervals of 2 minutes per facial area. The crystals will extoliate and remove the dull surface layers to reveal healthier skin. NOTE: Keep the microdermabrasion cream away from the eye area.

- Rinse your face with warm water and pet dry with a towel.

Step 5

- Lightly coat a cotton ball with Facial Toner provided. Sweep cotton ball across face to refresh and remove any remaining impurities.

- Press the Mist button to spray a gently mist across your face to close your pores once cleansing is complete.

- Apply Hydrating Facial Cream to your face and neck to revive skin and add moisture back in.

How often to use the MicroDermabrasion Total Facial Care System:

- Use 2 – 3 days a week, on non-consecutive days.

Cleaning the Appliance:

1. Remove the attachment from the facial unit.

2. To clean use a damp cloth to wipe down the facial unit. DO NOT RINSE APPLIANCE UNDER WATER. Unit is NOT waterproof.

3. Attachments should be removed and then rinsed under warm water until clean. DO NOT place appliance under running water – only attachments.

4. Empty any remaining water from the mist chamber.

5. Use small cleaning brush provided to clean out the attachment socket, mist chamber and the mist sprayer.

6. Allow facial unit and attachments to dry before storing. NOTE: Never use benzene, thinners, or any other organic solvents to clean the product. Use of these cleansers will damage the unit.

Storing:

Store facial unit in the charging base. Place the five attachments and cleaning brush back into its storage case. Store the lotions and additional attachments in the drawstring bag.

HoMedics, Inc., guarantees this product free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.

This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics. This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA. A product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under warranty. HoMedics shall not be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special damages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those implied warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total duration of two years from the original purchase date.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either hand deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount of \$5.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.

Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, your product and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriate to replace your product, HoMedics will replace the product with the same product or a comparable product at HoMedics' option. Warranty is solely through HoMedics Service Center. Service of this product by anyone other than HoMedics Service Center voids warranty.
