- Introduction

We congratulate you on the purchase of your new device. You have chosen a high quality product. Please make yourself familiar with the shiatsu cushion before preparing it for use or using it for the first time. Please read the following operating instructions and the important safety instructions carefully. Use the shiatsu cushion only as described and for the indicated purposes. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the shiatsu cushion on to others you should also give them all of the documentation.
Intended use
This shiatsu cushion is designed for massaging the back. The shiatsu cushion is only for private use; it is not intended for medical or commercial purposes and is no substitute for medical treatment. In particular, it must not be used to massage babies, infants, helpless persons, or animals. The shiatsu cushion is only suitable for use in dry indoor locations. Any other form of use or any modifications to the shiatsu cushion are not permitted and may result in injury and/or damage to the cushion. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage caused by improper use. The shiatsu cushion is not intended to be used for commercial purposes.

Observe this safety advice. If you pass the shiatsu cushion on to anyone else, please pass on these operation instructions as well.

WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK! Ensure that the shiatsu cushion, the switch and the cable do not come into contact with water, steam or other liquids. Use the shiatsu cushion only in dry indoor environments (e.g. never in the bath, sauna). If the shiatsu cushion falls into water, do not attempt to pick it up. Pull the mains adapter out of the mains socket immediately. There is a risk of electric shock.
Do not use the mains power cable

for purposes for which it was not intended, e.g. for hanging up the shiatsu cushion, carrying it or to pull the plug out of the mains socket. Do not allow the lead to become trapped, kinked or twisted. Keep the shiatsu cushion and cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains power cable is damaged or severed, do not touch the mains power cable, but pull the mains plug out of the mains socket immediately. Damaged or tangled mains power cables increase the risk of electric shock.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC

SHOCK! Do not insert needles or pointed objects into the shiatsu cushion - there is a risk of electric shock.
- Do not operate the shiatsu cushion during a thunderstorm.
- Operate the shiatsu cushion only with the mains voltage indicated on the cushion.
WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK AND INJURY! Do not subject the shiatsu cushion to shock and do not drop it. Please check the shiatsu cushion carefully beforehand every time you use it in order to determine if there are any signs of wear and tear and/or damage. Do not use it if you see signs of wear and tear or damage or if the shiatsu cushion has been used incorrectly and switch it off immediately in case of defects or malfunction. In such cases please return the cushion to the place where you bought it before using it again. There is a danger of electric shock and injury.
Fire hazard! Do not cover the

shiatsu cushion during use (cushions, covers etc.). Never use the shiatsu cushion near petrol or other readily flammable substances.
If you use a cardiac pacemaker,

please consult your doctor and the manufacturer of the pacemaker before using this shiatsu cushion. Under certain circumstances, the electrical and magnetic fields emitted from this shiatsu cushion could interfere with the proper functioning of your heart pacemaker. However, the values are well under the permitted limits:

for massaging around the heart if you have a heart pacemaker.

Children or other individuals who have no experience of or do not
know how to use the shiatsu cushion - or are restricted in terms of their physical, sensory or mental capacities - must not use the shiatsu cushion without supervision or instruction by an individual who is responsible for their safety. Children must never be allowed to play with the shiatsu cushion. Risk of injury.

RISK OF INJURY FROM
BURNS! The surface of the shiatsu cushion becomes hot during operation. People who are insensitive to heat must be careful while using the shiatsu cushion. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.
Do not use the shiatsu cushion on swollen, burned, inflamed, diseased or injured parts or regions of the body or areas of skin. If you are in doubt, seek medical advice before using the shiatsu cushion, in particular:
- if you suffer from a serious illness or have had an operation on the upper part of your body,
- if you have a heart pacemaker, implant or other medical device, • if you are suffering from thrombosis,
- if you suffer from pains with an undiagnosed cause.

CAUTION! RISK OF SHEARING OR CRUSHING INJURY!
Ensure that your fingers or others do not get themselves between the massage heads 4.
The shiatsu cushion is designed only to massage the backs of persons. It is not a substitute for medical treatment by your doctor. The shiatsu cushion must not be used on the face (e.g. eyes), on the larynx, the feet or other sensitive body parts. ■ Repairs may only be carried out by qualified specialist personnel or in a workshop approved by the manufacturer. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger for the user.
WARNING! If the mains power cable of this shiatsu cushion is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer or its service department or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
- Before initial use
CAUTION! Remove the transportation lock for the massage mechanism before you start to use the cushion.
To do this, remove the screw using the provided tool on the rear side of the cushion. If this screw of the transportation lock is not removed and the shiatsu cushion is used at once, the cushion will be damaged irreparably and unusable. In this case no warranty will be assumed.
■ Always employ the transportation lock screw for the duration of any further transport in the future. Every transport without a transportation lock can damage the shiatsu cushion irreparably.
● Bringing into service / operation
Note: Only use the shiatsu cushion in an upright position, never lay it flat on the floor.
Note: The zip fastener on the shiatsu cushion may not be opened because it is only there for technical reasons.
Note: The shiatsu cushion may give off an odour of plastic on first use. This odour will cease to develop after a short while.
Note: The shiatsu cushion automatically switches off after 15 minutes. Use the shiatsu cushion for a maximum period of 15 minutes. Longer use may lead to over-stimulation and hence tension in the muscles.
Note: Ensure that you are sitting in the middle of the device and that the massage heads 4 can move to the left and right of your spine.
Note: Do not lie, sit and stand with your full weight on the moving parts of the shiatsu cushion and do not place any objects on the cushion.
- Insert the mains plug into the mains socket. Position the lead to avoid creating a trip hazard.
Switching on / off:
☐ Switch on the shiatsu cushion by pressing the On/Off button 5.

☐ After use, switch off the shiatsu cushion by pressing the On /Off button 5.
Back massage:
☐ Select with button A+B 7, A 8 or B 9 the area you would like to have massaged:
A+B: your whole back
A: upper back
B: lower back.
The LED lamp signalises the massage area that has been set.
Note: When you select the massage area, the automatic switch-off will be activated and set at 15 minutes.
Press the timer button 10, using the appropriate frequency, to set the automatic switch-off at 5, 10, or 15 minutes.
Note: By resetting the timer, the timer will begin counting anew. At the beginning of the massage, select the maximum duration and do not change it during the massage to prevent the shiatsu cushion from overheating.
Note: Ensure that you are experiencing the massage as pleasant and relaxing. If necessary, vary the pressure and/or your position. Stop the massage at once if it is painful or unpleasant.
Heating function:
Press the heat button 6 to activate the heating function. Press the heat button 6 again to deactivate it.
Note: The heating function cannot be activated unless a massage program has been previously selected.
Seat vibration:
Press the seat vibration button 11 to activate the seat vibration. The vibration starts at low intensity and the relevant LED for seat vibration will light up. Press the seat vibration button 11, with the appropriate frequency, to switch to low, medium, or high intensity, or to deactivate the seat vibration.
Note: The seat vibration can be activated together with the back massage. However, the
vibration intensity will be slightly reduced in this case.
Demonstration:
Press the Demo button 12 to have the functions of the shiatsu cushion demonstrated to you.
Troubleshooting
Problem Cause Rectification
Massage heads rotate slower and slower. Too much pressure on massage heads. Relieve pressure on massage heads. Massage heads do not move. Shiatsu cushion is not connected to the mains supply. Insert the plug and switch on the cushion. Shiatsu cushion is not switched on. Switch on the shiatsu cushion by pressing the On/Off button 5. Select the massage area. The transportation lock has not been removed. The massage mechanism is damaged. Contact your specialist dealer or the service address.
Cleaning and Care


WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Always disconnect the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the shiatsu seat cushion. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

Clean the shiatsu cushion only in the manner indicated. Under no circumstances must any liquid be allowed to enter the shiatsu cushion or the accessories.
Small stains can be removed with a cloth or moist sponge and if necessary with a little mild detergent. Do not use solvent-containing cleaners.
Clean the removable cover 2 in accordance with the cleaning symbols on the label. It is machine-washable. Set the washing machine to a delicate wash cycle at 30 °C.
Use a mild detergent at the dose recommended by the manufacturer.
Note: Non-observance of the following warnings may damage the shiatsu cushion.

Storage
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT OR PROPERTY! Let the shiatsu cushion cool before putting it away. Otherwise material damage could occur.

If you do not intend to use the shiatsu cushion for any length of time, store it in the original
packing in a dry place without weighing it down.
●Disposal
The packaging and ancillary packing consist of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.
Do not dispose of electrical equipment in the household waste!
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC (covering waste electrical and electronic equipment) and its transposition into national legislation, worn out electrical devices must be collected separately and taken for environmentally compatible recycling.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out electrical devices.
● Warranty / Service centre
We provide a 3-year warranty covering faults in materials or manufacture of the shiatsu cushion from the purchase date.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from improper use.
- For wear parts.
- For defects that were known to the customer at the time of purchase.
- Damage for which the customer was responsible.
This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights.
The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty period to be honoured. Claims under the warranty are honoured by

In the event of a warranty claim, the customer has the right to have the goods repaired by our own workshop or a workshop authorised by us. The shiatsu cushion must not be opened for any reason. Opening or modifying the cushion invalidates the warranty. This warranty does not grant any additional rights to the customer. Complaints are often initiated by difficulties encountered during use. Many of these complaints can be resolved by telephone or email. Please contact our Service Hotline in the first instance, before you return the shiatsu cushion to the manufacturer.
