How do I remove the top of my Bosch Series 6 washing machine?

To remove the top, unplug the appliance and shut off the water supply. Remove the screws at the back, then push the top backward and lift it off. Refer to section 3.1 of the manual.

How do I replace the door seal?

Replacing the door seal requires removing the front panel, top, detergent drawer, door, and pump cover. Follow the steps in section 3.7 carefully, wearing gloves.

What should I do if the door does not open after the cycle?

Check if the program is finished and if the water has been drained. If the door remains locked, there may be a locking issue. Wait or restart a drain cycle. Consult the manual for emergency unlocking.

How do I clean the pump filter?

Open the pump cover, place a container, unscrew the filter, clean it, then put it back. See section 3.10.

The appliance shows an error code, what should I do?

Error codes are listed in the appendix of the manual. For example, E:20 indicates a drainage problem. Consult the manual for corresponding actions.

How do I replace the drum light?

Unplug the appliance, remove the top, the detergent drawer, and the control panel. Take out the light holder and disconnect the connections to change the bulb. Section 3.9.

Can I use vinegar to descale the machine?

It is not recommended to use vinegar as it can damage the seals. Use a specific washing machine descaler according to the manufacturer's instructions.

How do I change the door lock?

Replacing the door lock is complex and requires removing the control panel, top, door, seal, front panel, and clamp. After replacement, an electrotechnical test is mandatory. Section 3.8.

What should I do if the water does not drain?

First check the pump filter and the drain hose. If blocked, clean. Otherwise, contact customer service.

How do I install the front panel after repair?

Installation is done in the reverse order of removal. Make sure to reposition the screws and attach the panel securely. Section 3.11.

1.2.1 Danger levels

The warning levels consist of a symbol and a signal word. The signal word indicates the severity of the danger.

Torx Bit TX20 with hole, long 6.3°mm (1/4") 152°mm, for screws [00341272] with safety pin

3.8 Replacing door lock

As a manufacturer, we are obliged to provide consumers with the spare part door lock including repair instructions in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2023. However, we would like to point out that after replacing a door lock, an electrotechnical safety test by a qualified electrician is required before the device is put into operation. This person must be verifiably qualified according to the country-specific laws, regulations and standards.
