How to replace the top panel of my Siemens WM6HXM70NL washing machine?

To replace the top panel, first unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply. Remove the screws at the back, then push the top panel backward and lift it up. Assembly is done in reverse order. See section 3.1 of the repair manual.

How to clean the pump filter?

Open the pump cover at the bottom right, remove it, then clean the filter. Make sure the appliance is empty and unplugged. See section 3.10 of the manual.

How to access the control panel?

First remove the top panel and detergent drawer. Unscrew the panel screws and remove the fastening elements. Disconnect the connectors and take out the panel. Wear gloves. See section 3.2.

How to change the door seal?

Remove the detergent drawer, door, pump cover, and front panel. Lift the appliance from the front, unscrew the lower and upper screws, remove the clamp with a plastic tool, then remove the seal. Assembly is the reverse. See section 3.7.

What to do if the drum light no longer works?

Unplug the appliance. Remove the top panel, detergent drawer, and control panel. Take out the light bracket, disconnect the connections, and replace the light. Assembly is the reverse. See section 3.9.

3.8 Replacing door lock

As a manufacturer, we are obliged to provide consumers with the spare part door lock including repair instructions in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2023. However, we would like to point out that after replacing a door lock, an electrotechnical safety test by a qualified electrician is required before the device is put into operation. This person must be verifiably qualified according to the country-specific laws, regulations and standards.
