How to install the Bertazzoni KG48X hood?
Follow the instructions in the manual. Drill holes in the ceiling for island mounting, or in the wall for wall mounting. Make sure the hood is at least 65 cm above an electric hob and 75 cm above a gas hob. Connect to the extraction duct or install the charcoal kit for recirculation.
How to clean the grease filters?
The aluminum grease filters are dishwasher safe at max 65°C. Remove them, wash, dry, and reassemble. Do this every 2 months or more often with heavy use.
How to replace the charcoal filter?
Access the charcoal filter by unlocking the bottom panel. Replace the filter every 6 to 12 months depending on usage. The charcoal filter is not washable.
The hood makes noise, is it normal?
Yes, a noise level up to 68 dB(A) is normal for a hood of this power. In intensive speed, noise may be higher. Make sure the duct is not blocked.
Can I use the hood without external extraction?
Yes, in recirculation mode. You must install an activated charcoal filter kit (sold separately) to filter odors and recirculate the air into the kitchen.
How to set the timer?
Press the timer button (clock) on the touch panel. Select the desired duration (10, 15, or 20 minutes). The hood will stop automatically.
The remote control no longer works, what to do?
Check the batteries of the remote control (type CR2032). If the remote still does not work, reset it by removing the batteries and pressing a button for 5 seconds, then reinsert the batteries.
How to change the LED bulbs?
The LED bulbs are integrated and must be replaced by a qualified technician. Contact Bertazzoni after-sales service in case of failure.
What is the recommended mounting height?
For electric cooking, the hood should be 65-75 cm above the cooktop. For gas cooking, 75-85 cm to comply with safety standards.
The hood does not turn on, why?
Check the power supply (circuit breaker, outlet). If the hood is in standby mode, press the on/off button. If nothing happens, contact customer service.
