Frequently Asked Questions - RS600 Campomatic

How do I assemble the handle?
Insert the handle assembly vertically into the upper port of the handhold support and fasten it using the flexibility of the plastic. Ensure it is securely attached.
How do I fill the solution tank?
Pull up on the solution tank handle, remove the tank. Turn the lid anti-clockwise and remove it. Pour one lid of detergent into the tank, then fill completely with hot tap water (below 60°C) up to the limited line. Replace the lid and place the tank back into the extractor, pressing firmly.
How do I empty the recovery tank?
Unplug the extractor. If the motor sound rises or no dirty solution appears, the tank needs emptying. Unlock the button in the nozzle, step on the handle release pedal to lower the handle. Unlock the recovery tank, lift up on the tank lid using the hook, press the button clip to remove the lid, and empty the dirty water. Replace and lock the lid and tank.
How do I use the hand-held tool?
Turn the quick release cord wrap upside down, turn the revolving bar from right to left, hold the hand-held handle and press forward to release it. Take the brush from the accessories holder and insert it into the hand-held recovery tank until it locks.
What type of detergent should I use?
Use a detergent specifically designed for carpet extractors. The manual recommends using one lid of detergent per tank fill. Avoid using chlorine bleach, drain cleaner, or gasoline. Test for colorfastness on a hidden area first.
Can I clean upholstery with this extractor?
Yes, but only if the furniture tag has a 'W' or 'WS' code. Do not use on upholstery marked 'S', 'X', or 'Dry clean only'. Test detergent on a hidden area first.
Why is the cleaner not picking up solution?
Check that the recovery tank is not full (automatic shut-off engaged). Ensure the recovery tank and lid are properly installed. Also verify the solution tank is fully inserted and has detergent.
What does the automatic shut-off do?
The automatic shut-off prevents the extractor from picking up more dirty water than it can hold. When the recovery tank is full, the float rises and stops suction, indicated by a change in motor sound.
How do I clean the brush tool?
Remove the brush from the hand-held recovery tank by reversing the installation steps. Rinse the brush with water and allow it to air dry before reattaching.
Is it safe to use on all carpets?
Always test detergent for colorfastness on a hidden area first. Vacuum the carpet thoroughly before extracting. Do not over-wet the carpet; use no more than two sets of forward/backward strokes while releasing solution, followed by dry strokes.
