Frequently Asked Questions - CHRK210 Champion

How do I cook rice with the Champion CHRK210?
Measure rice using the included measuring cup. Rinse rice and place in inner pot. Add water to corresponding level line. Close lid, plug in, and press the cook switch down. The light will indicate cooking. When done, switch pops up and cooker switches to keep warm.
What is the capacity of this rice cooker?
The CHRK210 has a capacity of 1.8 liters, which can cook up to 10 cups (180 ml each) of uncooked rice, yielding about 10 cups of cooked rice.
Can I use the inner pot for other foods?
Yes, the rice cooker can also be used to steam vegetables, warm soups, or prepare one-pot meals like stews. However, always follow recommended liquid levels and avoid overfilling.
How do I clean the rice cooker?
Unplug and let cool. Remove inner pot and wash with warm soapy water. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water. The lid can be cleaned with a damp sponge.
Why does the rice cooker automatically switch to warm?
After the cooking cycle completes, the thermostat detects that all water is absorbed and the temperature rises. A magnet releases, switching the cooker to keep warm mode (around 65°C) to maintain food temperature without overcooking.
What should I do if the rice burns?
Burning may occur if too little water is used or if the inner pot is scratched. Ensure proper water level using the markings. If burning persists, consider reducing cooking time or adding a bit more water.
Is the inner pot non-stick?
Yes, the aluminum inner pot has a non-stick coating for easy cleaning and to prevent rice from sticking. Use only plastic or wooden utensils to avoid scratching.
Can I cook brown rice or quinoa?
Yes, but you may need to adjust water ratio and cooking time. For brown rice, use a bit more water and allow the cooker to switch off naturally. Quinoa cooks similarly to white rice; use a 1:1.5 ratio of quinoa to water.
What safety features does the CHRK210 have?
The cooker includes auto shut-off when cooking is complete, a thermal fuse to prevent overheating, and a steam vent to release excess pressure. Always use on a stable surface.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Replacement inner pots, measuring cups, and rice paddles are available from Champion authorized service centers or online stores. Contact Champion customer support for specific part numbers.
