Frequently Asked Questions - Premium Queen Active Era

How long does it take to inflate the Premium Queen mattress?
Full inflation takes about 3 minutes for a two-person mattress. For a one-person mattress, count about 1 minute 30 seconds. Always let the pump cool down for 20 minutes between each use.
Can I use a manual or foot pump?
Yes, if electrical power is not available, you can connect a manual or foot pump via the manual inflation valve. Ensure it is closed when using the electric pump.
How do I repair a puncture on the mattress?
Use standard PVC glue and patches. Never use flammable aerosols. Clean the area around the puncture before applying the repair kit.
Is it safe for a baby or child to sleep on this mattress?
No. The manual specifies not to let an infant sleep on the mattress. Children should not play or be left unattended near it.
Why does my mattress soften after a few days?
This is normal: new vinyl naturally stretches during initial uses. Simply add air via the pump to restore desired firmness.
Can I use the mattress outdoors?
It is recommended to use the mattress indoors. Do not expose it to rain or extreme temperatures. Temperature variations affect internal pressure.
How do I clean the air mattress?
Clean the surface with soapy water. Do not use chemicals or abrasives. Let it dry completely before storing.
What should I do if the pump overheats and stops?
The pump has a safety automatic shut-off. Unplug it and let it cool down for at least 20 minutes before resuming inflation.
Can I walk or jump on the mattress?
No. The mattress is designed for sleeping or resting. Do not walk, stand, or jump on it to avoid damage or injury.
How should I store the mattress for the summer?
Completely deflate, clean, and dry it. Fold it loosely to avoid creases and store in a dry, cool place, away from pets.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

o Do not place an infant to sleep on the mattress.
This is not a toy. Children must not be left unattended when using the airbed. When not in use store away safely and securely.
Do not use flammable liquids or sprays with the airbed, such as aerosol tire repair products, as it may ignite or explode.
o Keep away from fire
o Use for intended purpose only: do not walk, stand on or jump on or use the airbed as a trampoline. Do not use near or on water.
o Do not set up bed near stairs, doors, sharp edges or breakable objects.
Provide adequate space between bed and objects to avoid entrapment. Make sure the area is flat, smooth, even and free of sharp objects that could puncture the bed.
o Keep pets away from the airbed. Pets may puncture the surface of the bed.
o Avoid sleeping on the edge of the airbed. Edges produce less support than the middle of the bed.
Do not operate air pump for more than 5 minutes at a time. Let pump cool at least 20 minutes between use. The air pump is designed to fully inflate your airbed within 3 minutes. The pump will automatically shut off if overheating occurs. This is designed for your safety.
o Do not operate air pump with a damaged cord or plug.
o Unplug electrical power cord when not in use.
o Do not use power cord or pump with wet hands to prevent electric shock
- Do not obstruct the air passage opening or insert any objects into the air passage opening.

STORAGE

  1. Deflate the airbed following the 'deflation' instructions.

  2. Make sure the airbed is clean and dry.

  3. Lay bed flat with sleeping surface facing upwards. Fold the airbed loosely and avoid sharp bends, corners and creases which can damage the airbed.

4 Store the air bed in cool and dry location.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Use soapy water to clean the surface of the airbed. Do not use any chemicals.

  2. No air pump maintenance is required.

  3. To repair punctures to the airbed, use only common PVC repair glue and patches. Do not use flammable aerosols on the surface of the airbed.

The ambient temperatures of air have an effect on the airbed internal pressure. At low ambient temperature the air will contract within the airbed and the airbed will feel softer: add air as necessary. At high ambient temperature the air within the airbed will expand significantly and the airbed will become hard and may burst: release air to avoid damage to the airbed or to soften the feel. Do not expose the airbed to extreme temperatures.

Air inside of bed may expand and contract with varying temperatures leading to reduced pressure inside of bed. If this occurs, simply add more air issuing the pump to achieve desired firmness.

Stretching is a natural characteristic of new vinyl. During initial use, the airbed may become soft and require additional inflation to maintain desired firmness. This is normal for the first few days of use.

Under no circumstances will Active Era be liable for damages to the airbed caused by negligence, ordinary wear and tea, abuse and carelessness or external forces.
