When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read the entire instruction manual before using the appliance for the first time.
  2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Always operate the appliance on an even surface. Make sure that there is enough ventilation, so that the hot steam can vanish.

OPERATING INSRTUCTIONS

  1. Uncoil the cable completely.
  2. Check and make sure that the heating plates are clean and dust-free. If necessary, wipe them with a damp cloth.
  3. Place the appliance on a fl at surface.
  4. Connect the plug into rated voltage. The cooking surface begins pre-heating and the red light will be illuminated. Once the cooking surface has reached the preset temperature (usually this will take about 3-5 minutes), the lamp will be turned off and this appliance is ready for cooking.
  5. Open the appliance and place your food on the lower bowl plate.
  6. Close the appliance, the red lamp will be turned off soon.
  7. Open the appliance after the lamp is illuminated again, check whether the pastries/batter are sufficiently "brown". The cooking time required to obtain crisp brown cooked depends on the type of pastries/batter and personal taste.
  8. After toasting, open the appliance and remove your food with a wooden or plastic spatula.

  1. Cooking time is depending on the thickness of your batter, approx. 3-5 minutes.
  2. The first heating process should take place without any batter, let the appliance heat for about ten minutes. There may be a slight development of smoke or smell, this is normal and harmless.
  3. If too much batter is inserted into the appliance, the unit cannot be closed or the extra batter will come out. Never put batter over half of the lower bowl, around 1/3 will be best. Never close it with force as this could damage the lock.
  4. Never use a sharp fork or knife to remove the food as this will damage the non-stick coating of the cooking surface. Use a heat-resistant wood or plastic utensils only.
  5. Always unplug the appliance from the power socket when not in use.
