Frequently Asked Questions - M12VCB16E MATSUI

How do I empty the dustbag?
Unplug the vacuum cleaner. Squeeze the cover lever to open the cover. Pull out the dustbag holder using the ridge. Slide the dustbag out. For paper dustbags, dispose of the entire bag. For cotton dustbags (not included), empty contents into a bin. Insert a new or clean dustbag and slide the holder back in. Close the cover until it clicks.
How do I clean the interior filter?
Ensure the vacuum is unplugged. Open the cover and remove the dustbag holder and dustbag. Slide the white filter up and out of its grooves. Wash it in lukewarm water and dry thoroughly before replacing. Note: the coarse side faces the motor grille, the soft side faces the dustbag.
Can I use this vacuum cleaner to pick up liquids?
No, never vacuum up water or any other liquids. This vacuum is designed for dry use only. Vacuuming liquids can cause electric shock or damage the appliance.
How do I rewind the power cord?
Press the cord rewind button located on the vacuum cleaner. Hold the plug while rewinding to avoid damage. The cord will automatically retract into the unit.
What type of dustbag should I use?
The vacuum comes with paper dustbags (3 included). Alternatively, you can purchase a cotton dustbag (not included). Ensure the dustbag is properly inserted before closing the cover.
How often should I replace the interior filter?
Replace the interior filter whenever you replace the dustbag for the first time, or if it becomes damaged or excessively dirty. Regular washing (every few months) is recommended.
What does the dustbag full indicator do?
The indicator lights up or shows a visual signal when the dustbag is full and needs to be emptied or replaced. This helps maintain optimal suction performance.
Can I vacuum ashes or flammable substances?
No, never vacuum flammable substances or ashes until they are cold. Doing so may cause fire or damage the vacuum.
How do I store the vacuum cleaner after use?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Press the cord rewind button to retract the cord. Detach the floor brush/nozzle and tubes. Press the clips on the hose to disconnect. Place the floor brush at the back of the unit for compact storage.
Where can I find replacement dustbags or filters?
Replacement parts can be obtained from your dealer or authorized service centers. Refer to the manual or contact Matsui support for compatible accessories.
