How do I assemble the blender before first use?

Wash the jug, lid, and blade assembly in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry. Place the blade assembly onto the jug base and twist to lock. Attach the jug to the motor base, then place the lid on top and lock it. Ensure all parts are secured before plugging in.

Can I blend hot liquids in the Smooth BL-800S?

Yes, you can blend warm liquids, but avoid boiling liquids (max 60°C) to prevent pressure buildup. Always allow hot ingredients to cool slightly before blending, and do not fill the jug beyond the 1 L mark when blending hot contents.

How do I clean the blender effectively?

For quick cleaning, add warm water and a drop of dish soap to the jug, then run the blender on pulse for 30 seconds. Rinse thoroughly. The jug, lid, and blade assembly are dishwasher-safe (top rack). Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.

Why is the blender not starting?

Check that the jug is properly aligned and locked onto the motor base. Ensure the lid is securely closed. The blender has a safety interlock that prevents operation if parts are not correctly assembled. Also check the power cord and outlet.

What is the maximum capacity for dry ingredients like nuts or coffee beans?

For dry grinding, do not fill the jug more than 500 ml (2 cups) to avoid overloading the motor. Use the pulse function in short bursts to achieve the desired consistency.

Can I crush ice with this blender?

Yes, the Smooth BL-800S can crush ice. Add ice cubes (up to 300 g) with a small amount of liquid, then use the pulse function or low speed. Do not operate the blender dry.

Yes, the jug is made from BPA-free Tritan material, which is durable and safe for food contact. The blades are stainless steel and do not leach chemicals.

What should I do if the blade assembly becomes dull or damaged?

Replace the blade assembly. It is a spare part available from Wilfa or authorized dealers. Do not attempt to sharpen the blades. Turn off and unplug the blender before replacing the blade assembly.

How long can I run the blender continuously?

For normal blending, do not operate for more than 2 minutes at a time. For heavy loads like dough or thick mixtures, limit to 30 seconds. Allow the motor to cool for 2 minutes between cycles.

■ Unpack the blender.
- Place the base on a flat surface.
■ Clean the blender with a damp cloth, never immerse in water or place it under running water.
■ Wash the jar, lid and blades in warm water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

How to Assemble the Blender

1 Please check the blending blade carefully before use the blender every time.

2 Insert the blending blade into the glass jar. A lock / open symbol are shown at the bottom of the blending blade. To lock the blending blade, turn it in anticlockwise direction to the lock symbol. To release the blending blade, turn it in clockwise direction to the open symbol.

3 Place the glass jar onto the motor unit.

Note: Please ensure the glass jar is in position tightly.

Operation

Caution:

Do not place the blade assembly unit on the motor unit before it is installed into the jar.

Avoid touching the sharp blades.

Never touch the rotating parts which are still in motion.

1. Switch off the appliance before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
2. Place the motor unit on a flat surface.
3. Ensure the speed control is turned to off.

Blender

1. Assemble the glass jar.
2. Plug the appliance into a socket.
3. Add ingredients into the glass jar. Cover the glass jar with the lid.
4. Turn the speed control to the chosen speed.
5. See the table for recommended blending times.
6. To stop the operation, turn the speed control to off.
7. Wait until the motor stops completely, remove the glass jar from the motor unit.
8. Unplug the appliance after use.

WARNING: The maximum operation level is 1.5L. Do not blend more than 1.5L ingredients.

WARNING: Do not remove the lid from the glass jar while the blender is on.

WARNING: Stop the blender before adding new ingredients or use the measuring cup to add ingredients.

Care and Cleaning

Switch off the appliance before changing accessories or approaching parts which move in use.

WARNING: Handle the glass jar with care. The blade is very sharp. Wash with care. Never touch the blade with your fingers.

■ To maintain your blender in best quality, always clean the jar every time after use.
■ Unplug the blender.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly. Clean all removable parts in dishwasher except the blades assembly or in lukewarm water with cleanser.
■ Clean the motor with a damp cloth, never immerse it in water or place it under running water.
■ Place the blender in a safe place.

Tips of Using your Blender

■ Do not blend dry, thick or heavy mixtures for more than 60 seconds continuously. Let the appliance cool down to room temperature before continue operating the appliance again.
■ Do not place the lid into boiling water, the lid may deform.
■ Always hold the edge of the lid while operating the blender.
