How to use the appliance
Make sure that the hair is completely dry and comb it well. It is important that the hair is completely dry. If the hair is very long or thick, it would make it easier if you use hair clips to separate the hair.
Plug the appliance to a wall outlet and activate the plate straightener by pushing the switch to I and the red signal lamp will go on. Put the plate straightener on an even, heat-resistant surface during heating. After a few minutes, the plate straightener will be ready for use.
Keep the appliance at a safe distance from your skin and eyes. Use a mirror. Put a lock of hair between the plates and press them together. Take care that your fingers do not touch the hot plates. Now pull the plate straightener downwards towards the ends in an even movement. To get the best result, start close to the bottom of the hair and work your way towards the ends.
NOTE! The plates reach a very high temperature (max 200^ C). Make sure that the hot plates do not touch the scalp, your face, neck or hands. Do not use the plate straightener for wigs, hair extensions or artificial hair without having tested the appliance on a small section of hair, as there may be a risk that the hair will melt.
Turn off the plate straightener after use by pushing the switch to 0 and the signal lamp goes off. Unplug and let the plate straightener cool before you put it in e.g. a bag or similar.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Make sure that the plate straightener is switched off and unplugged. Let it cool off completely on a heat-resistant surface before cleaning and make sure that the appliance is out of the reach of children. The plate straightener reaches very high temperatures during use and consequently it takes some time before it has cooled off completely.
- Never immerse the appliance and the cord in water or any other liquid and do not let these parts get in direct contact with water.
- Be careful that water does not penetrate into the housing!
- Wipe dry the housing and the plates of the appliance with a damp cloth. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Do not wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause an abnormal load with a risk of breakage of the cord.
- Make sure that the appliance is completely cool and dry before storing.
- Store the appliance at a dry and safe place out of the reach of children after use.
