Before use
Before the hand blender is taken into use for the first time, please read the instruction manual thoroughly and keep it for future use.
Wipe the hand blender over with a moist cloth before use.
The hand blender mashes, whips, and chops foods quickly and easily. Cut the ingredients into smaller pieces before mashing, blending, or chopping for better and more uniform results.
The hand blender can be used in a jug, a measuring jug, or similar, but it can also be used in any bowl, jug, or pot. Be careful when using the hand blender in a bowl or pot due to potential spatter. When using the hand blender directly in a pot, remove the pot from the cooker to prevent the hand blender from overheating (75-80° C at the max.) from the pot's hot base.

How to use the hand blender
The hand blender is well suited for e.g. sauces, soups, dressings, pesto, diet- and baby food, cocktails, sorbet ice, etc. Attach the detachable blender stick to the motor part by carefully turning the stick shaft towards the "closed padlock" (clockwise). When the "closed padlock" on the hand blender and the arrow on the motor part are in alignment, the blender is completely attached. Apply the plug to a power socket and switch on. Make sure that the power cord does not get in the way.
Lower the hand blender into the ingredients before pressing moment button I or II to avoid spatter. Carefully work the hand blender upwards and to the sides in slow, rotating movements.
The motor stops when you let go of the moment button. Press and hold the moment button for approximately 10-second-intervals, release the button for a brief moment, and start again. Continue in this way until the ingredients have the desired consistency.
Because the hand blender works very quickly - most things are done in less than 1 minute - it is recommended that you activate it for short intervals, especially at first when you are not yet familiar with the hand blender. Note that the hand blender should only be activated continuously for 1 minute max. when blending soft foods, and 15 seconds max. when blending hard foods. Allow the hand blender to rest and cool off for 3 minutes before re-activating.
After use, take the hand blender out of the jug or bowl, switch off the power, and remove the plug from the power socket.
Separate the hand blender by turning it towards "open padlock" (counterclockwise), then rinse under running water. Use a soft brush and hot soapy water when cleaning the blade. Never soak the blade in water as water will enter the blade bearing.
Cleaning and maintenance
Only wipe the motor part using a soft, slightly moist cloth or kitchen roll. The additional parts can be cleaned in hot soapy water, or in the dishwasher. When using the dishwasher, place the parts in the top basket, never at the base where the powerful heat development in can cause deformation to the plastic parts.
The plastic parts may discolour due to coloured foods such as e.g. carrots. To avoid discoloration, apply a little vegetable oil to the parts before putting them in the dishwasher.
IMPORTANT!
The motor part must never be rinsed under running water or be immersed into water or other liquids. Consequently, the motor part is NOT dishwasher safe!
Disposal of the appliance
