Frequently Asked Questions - 646-067 Melissa

How do I assemble the blender for use?
Place the motor section on a flat surface. Fit the plastic bowl onto the drive shaft, turning counterclockwise until it clicks. Insert the chosen blade onto the drive shaft. Add ingredients, then place the lid and turn counterclockwise until the safety lock engages. Finally, plug in and select a speed.
Why won't the blender start?
The blender has a safety lock that prevents operation if the lid is not fitted correctly. Ensure the lid is turned fully counterclockwise so the safety lock pin clicks into place. Also check that the bowl is properly locked onto the motor section.
Can I blend hot liquids?
No. Do not pour boiling liquids or extremely hot foodstuffs into the plastic bowl. Allow them to cool to a safe temperature before blending.
What is the maximum operation time?
Do not use the appliance for more than 3 minutes continuously. If longer processing is needed, let the appliance cool down before using again.
Can I wash the blender parts in the dishwasher?
No. Do not put any part of this appliance in the dishwasher. The plastic bowl and attachments can be washed with ordinary soapy water. The motor section should only be wiped with a damp cloth.
How do I use the grater function?
Fit the attachment holder onto the drive shaft, then add the desired grater/slicer blade. Place the lid and turn to lock. Position a bowl under the spout, select a speed, and feed ingredients through the funnel. Use the tamper to push food down if needed.
What should I do if the blade seems loose?
Ensure the blade is pressed firmly onto the drive shaft. The blade should sit flat on the shaft. If still loose, check that the correct blade is being used and that it is not damaged.
Is the appliance suitable for crushing ice?
The manual does not specify ice crushing. It is intended for soft to medium-hard foodstuffs. Using it for ice may damage the blades or motor. Not recommended.
How do I clean the blades safely?
Be careful not to touch the sharp edges. Wash the blades separately with soapy water using a sponge or brush. Rinse and dry immediately. Do not soak.
Where can I find spare parts or service?
Visit the manufacturer's website at www.adexi.eu and go to the 'Consumer Service' section for questions, spare parts, and repair contacts. Unauthorized repairs will void the warranty.
