Frequently Asked Questions - 646173 Melissa

How do I clean the blender after use?

Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, the Melissa 646173 blender can crush ice. Use the pulse function to avoid overheating the motor. Always add some liquid when crushing ice.
What should I do if the blender stops working suddenly?
The blender may have a thermal overload protection feature. Let it cool down for 10-15 minutes before trying again. If it still doesn't work, check the power supply and ensure the jug is properly locked onto the base.
Is the blender jar made of glass or plastic?
The blender jar is made of durable plastic (BPA-free) for lightweight use, but some versions may have a glass jar. Check your specific model's label or manual.
What is the maximum capacity for blending hot liquids?
Do not blend hot liquids above 60°C (140°F) to avoid pressure buildup. Always allow liquids to cool before blending.
Can I use the blender without the lid on?
No, never operate the blender without the lid securely locked in place. It prevents splashing and accidental contact with the blades.
How long should I run the blender continuously?
Do not run the blender for more than 1 minute continuously. Allow it to rest for at least 2 minutes between cycles to prevent motor damage.
What spare parts are available for this blender?
Spare parts include replacement jugs, lids, blade assemblies, and measuring caps. Contact Melissa customer service or authorized resellers.
Can I blend nuts or seeds to make nut butters?
Yes, you can blend nuts and seeds, but do not overload. Use the pulse function and scrape down the sides as needed. Avoid blending very hard items like whole coffee beans.
