Frequently Asked Questions - 640-048 Melissa

How do I clean the filter?
Remove the filter and rinse it under running water. Let it dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling. Do not use detergent.
The vacuum loses suction power. What should I do?
Check if the dust container is full, the filter is clogged, or there is a blockage in the hose or nozzle. Clean or replace the filter regularly.
Can I use the vacuum on carpets?
Yes, it works on both hard floors and low-pile carpets. Adjust the brush setting if available.
How often should I empty the dust container?
Empty it after each use or when it reaches the MAX line to maintain optimal performance.
Is it safe to vacuum liquids?
No, this vacuum is designed for dry use only. Using it on liquids can damage the motor and void the warranty.
The brush roll stopped spinning. What now?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Check for hair or debris wrapped around the brush roll and remove it. Ensure the belt is intact.
Where can I buy replacement filters?
Replacement filters are available on the Melissa website or at major online retailers. Use the model number 640-048 to find compatible parts.
How do I store the vacuum?
Unplug and wrap the cord. Store in a dry place, preferably with the dust container emptied and filter clean. Use the wall mount if provided.
Why does the vacuum turn off suddenly?
This is likely due to overheating. Let it cool down for 30 minutes. Ensure filters are clean and no blockages exist.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects for 2 years from purchase date. It does not cover wear and tear, misuse, or damage from improper cleaning.

FILTERS

This vacuum cleaner is not equipped with a dust bag. The dust/dirt is sucked up into the transparent dust container (8) instead. Once the dust is in this container, it whirls around so that it does not block suction. The air sucked in is cleaned by means of a washable permanent filter in the dust container, a motor protection filter and an exhaust filter.

Important!

You must never vacuum without all three filters or when a filter is damaged. If you do, dust may penetrate into the interior of the vacuum cleaner and damage the motor.

Emptying the dust container and cleaning the permanent filter

It is easy to see when the transparent dust container needs emptying.

dry completely and replace it.

Exhaust filter
