OBH Nordica Heating plaid

Before use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, read the instruction manual carefully, and save it for future use.
This product is equipped with a safety system that within milliseconds cuts the current if there is short circuit or exceptional high power consumption. If the safety system is activated it is not possible to use the product due to safety reasons. The heating plaid should then be disposed according to section “Disposal of the appliance”.
Use
Check that the switch is in off position (OFF) and that the switch and its socket is connected to the plug on the underside of the heating plaid. The heating plaid can only be used with switch supplied.
To reach optimal temperature we recommend that you start the appliance at least 10 minutes before use.
Timer
This heating plaid has a timer function that automatically switches off the unit after 3 hours ( ± 4 min). Connect the plug to the outlet. Push the switch to setting “3h” to start the appliance. Choose temperature 1-9 by turning the temperature regulator, the temperature display illuminates. We recommend that you start at the highest setting (9) and lower if necessary.
When the timer setting has passed the unit switches off and the pilot lamp next to the switch twinkles. If you want to switch off the appliance before the times has passed, set the switch to OFF and unplug the appliance. Note that the switch always should be set to OFF and the appliance should be unplugged when it's not in use.
Settings:
0 = Off
1 = Low heat
2
3
4
5 = Medium heat
6
7
8
9 = Maximum heat
Warning! The heating plaid may not be used by children if the switch is not set by an adult or the child has been thoroughly instructed how you use the switch. Never let children use the heating plaid without supervision. Children are not always able to understand potential risks. Teach children responsible handling of the heating plaid.
Important!
Since the switch gets warm during use it is important that the switch is not covered or placed under the heating plaid during use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always remove the switch and cord before cleaning. Remove the socket from the heating plaid by pressing the clips on either side of the plug. The heating plaid can be hand washed or machine washed (delicate wash) in 40° C. The heating plaid should only be washed if it is particularly dirty and max 2-3 times a year since too many washes can wear out the product. Small stains and dirt can be washed off with a damp cloth and some mild detergent. Note that the heating plaid may not be dry cleaned.
IMPORTANT!
The switch and cord may not come in contact with water or any other liquids.
If you hand wash the product. Carefully soak the heating plaid into the water with mild detergent. Rinse the heating plaid in clean water afterwards so that all remaining detergent rinses off.
Let the heating plaid drip-dry without wringing or squeezing. Do not tumble dry or iron the heating plaid. Do not start the appliance to make it dry. Place the heating plaid flat and leave it to dry. Do not fasten it with clothespins or similar. The heating plaid may not be used until it's completely dry, otherwise the safety system will automatically shut the heating plaid off.
After cleaning and before each use, check the appliance and its cord for damage.
