The hand blender can be used for blending, whipping and chopping in a fast and easy way. Well suited for purée, soups, dressing, baby food, milk shakes and for whipping cream etc. The knife is extremely sharp – so be careful.
The hand blender is used with the enclosed container, but can be used in any bowl, jug, pot or saucepan. Be careful when using the hand blender in a bowl or pot due to potential splashing. When using the hand blender directly in a pot/saucepan, remove the pot or saucepan from the cooker to prevent the hand blender from overheating (75-80°C at the max.) from the pot's hot base.

How to use the hand blender
Make sure that the switch is not connected to a wall outlet. Mount the removable mixing shaft on the motor part by carefully fastening the shaft in such way that the marking on the motor part is pointing towards the locked padlock symbol on the mixing shaft. Now choose an accessory at your choice (depending of what you want to mix/whip) from the accessory compartment (see illustration). Press the accessory onto the accessory shaft under the splatter protection device by engaging the grooves of the accessory in the locking buttons on the shaft.

The accessory has been correctly mounted when you hear a click. Please note that a number of accessories are very sharp and should be handled with great care. Plug the appliance to a wall outlet.
Lower the mixing shaft into the ingredients before switching on the appliance in order to avoid any splashing. Set the wanted speed by means of the speed selector and press the switch to activate the appliance. Move the blender carefully up and down in rotating movements along the sides of the container. Note: Do not hold on to the cord/the cord attachment during use, but only to the appliance.
Note that the motor stops when you release the switch. Keep the switch pressed at intervals of about 10 seconds, release the switch for a short moment and restart. Go on this way until you have got the texture that you want.
Since the hand blender works very fast, most ingredients will be done in less than a minute. We therefore recommend that you activate the appliance for short intervals, especially at first when you are not yet familiar with the appliance. You can add some water to make the mixing process easier. Please note that the max operation time of the hand blender is max 1 minute at a time or at intervals of max 2 minutes when blending soft ingredients. When blending hard ingredients, the operation time must not exceed 10 seconds a time. Let the appliance rest for 15 minutes to make it cool off before it is reactivated.
After use remove the mixing shaft from the container and unplug.
IMPORTANT!
In order not to damage the accessory and the container, do not chop the following ingredients with the hand blender: grain, ice, nutmeg and coffee beans. Any consequential damage will not be covered by the warranty.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always clean the appliance after use.
Important: Never immerse the motor part in water or any other liquid. Clean the motor part with a humid cloth or kitchen towel.
Release the mixing shaft from the motor unit by turning the shaft in such a way that the marking on the motor part is pointing towards the open padlock symbol on the mixing shaft. Loosen the accessory by means of the delivered tool. Place the hinge of the tool under the accessory itself and bend the accessory upwards. Note that a number of accessories are extremely sharp and should be handled with great care.
The container and the accessories are dishwasher-proof. Note that the accessories should be handled carefully. The mixing shaft should be hand washed in order to protect the plastic parts.
After cleaning and drying, put the accessories back into the compartment and the mixing shaft and the motor part on the base unit. Now place the container (which also works as a protecting cover) upside down on top of the parts on the base unit.
NOTE! Never use the container in a microwave oven.
