How do I set the timer to automatically turn on or off?

Press the Timer button repeatedly to select 1-24 hours. If the appliance is in standby (indicator on), it will turn on after the set time. If it is running, it will turn off after the set time. The selected hours flash, then become steady.

How often should I clean the filters and how?

Clean the filters every 14 days. Remove them from their holders, gently wash in warm water, and let dry completely away from direct sunlight before replacing. Do not operate without filters.

What does the 'Water Tank Full' indicator mean and how do I empty it?

When the water tank is full, an alarm sounds and the Water Tank Full light turns on. The appliance goes into standby. Unplug, place a container (min. 3L) under the water outlet, remove the plug cap and rubber plug, let water drain, then replace both.

How do I install the exhaust hose?

Screw the adapter onto the exhaust hose, then screw the hose anticlockwise into the exhaust connector on the appliance. Secure the adapter to the seal plate, open the window, clamp the seal plate between window and frame, and adjust to width.

How do I use the night setting?

While in cooling mode, press the Night Setting button on the remote control. The indicator lights up. Fan speed becomes low, temperature increases by 1°C after 1 hour and another 1°C after 2 hours. Cancel by changing function, going to standby, or if water tank fills.

Why doesn't the compressor start immediately?

There is a 3-minute time delay on the compressor. Wait for about 3 minutes after turning on the appliance for the compressor to start.

No, the exhaust hose must be connected and vented outside for proper operation in cooling or dehumidification mode. The appliance may not cool effectively and could overheat.

SET-UP

Place the appliance upright on a flat, stable surface with at least 50 cm clearance on all sides so that the air intakes and air outlet are not blocked. There must be a window that can be opened within 150 cm of the rear of the appliance.

Screw the adapter (14) to the exhaust hose (13), and then screw the exhaust hose anticlockwise into the exhaust connector (7) on the appliance.

Secure the adapter to the sealplate (16). Open the window and clamp the sealplate between the window and the frame. Adjust the sealplate to the width of the window.

The exhaust hose should be as short as possible, and it must not have any kinks in it, as this may reduce the air flow.

Adjust the dampers (4) in front of the air outlet (3), so that the air blows in the required direction.

USE

Cooling mode

Switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off button (27). The appliance starts cooling automatically at 22\ °C and low fan speed. If the appliance is set to a different function, press the function button (23) until the cooling mode indicator (22) comes on.

Adjust the temperature from 16 to 31°C using the Up (32) and Down (20) buttons. The temperature will appear on the display.

Adjust the fan speed to low or high by pressing the fan speed button (17). The appropriate indicator will come on.

Please note: The compressor only starts once the appliance has been on for around 3 minutes.

Ventilation

Press the function button (23) until the fan indicator (24) comes on.

Adjust the fan speed to low or high by pressing the fan speed button (17). The appropriate indicator will come on.

Temperature and night setting cannot be adjusted during ventilation.

Dehumidification

Press the function button (23) until the dehumidification mode indicator (21) comes on.

Temperature and night setting cannot be adjusted during ventilation. The fan speed is set to low and cannot be changed.

Timer

If the standby indicator (26) comes on, you can adjust the appliance to automatically switch on after 1-24 hours.

Press the timer button (31) one or more times until the required number of hours flash in the display. After a few seconds, the number of hours will be permanently displayed and once the set number of hours has passed, the appliance will come on.

If the appliance is on, you can set it to automatically turn off after 1-24 hours. Press the timer button (31) one or more times until the required number of hours flash in the display. Night setting for cooling

If the appliance is on and you have selected cooling, you can turn the night setting on by pressing the night setting button (34) on the remote control so that the night setting indicator (25) comes on. On the night setting, the fan speed is low and the temperature is increased by 1 °C after 1 hour and by an additional 1 °C after 2 hours.

The night setting is cancelled if you change function, if the appliance goes into standby or if the water tank is full. The night setting cannot be used together with ventilation or dehumidification.

Full water tank

The appliance is equipped with an automatic evaporation system which both increases the cooling effect and saves energy. If the water tank is full, an acoustic signal is heard and the water tank full indicator (19) comes on. The appliance then automatically goes into standby and cannot be turned on again until the water tank has been emptied. Remove the plug from the socket.

Place a suitable container of at least 3 litres under the water outlet on the rear of the appliance. Unscrew the plug cap (11) and remove the rubber plug (10). Allow the water to run into the container. Replace the rubber plug and screw the plug cap back on.

CLEANING

When cleaning the appliance, you should pay attention to the following:

• Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any form of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they can damage the external surfaces of the appliance.
• IMPORTANT! Allow the appliance to dry fully after cleaning before using again.
• Remove the filters (6, 9) from their holders and gently wash them in warm water every fourteen days. Allow them to dry fully in a location away from direct sunlight before replacing them. The appliance must not be used without filters.

- Ensure the appliance is clean and dry before storage.

STORAGE

If the appliance is not going to be used for any length of time, do as follows:

Empty the water tank fully.

Let the appliance run as a fan for 2 hours to ensure that its internal parts are completely dry.

Remove the plug from the socket.

Pull the filters out and wash them.

Unscrew the exhaust hose.

Place all the parts for storage in a dry, dust-free location away from direct sunlight.

Plug wiring:

This product is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 13 amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be refitted after changing the fuse.

If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your home fit with the plug of the appliance. If the socket outlet in your home does not fit with the plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion of the plug into the socket is likely to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to following description.
