Workplace safety:

a) Keep your workplace tidy and well lit. Untidiness and bad lighting result in higher accident rate.
b) Do not use the power tool in explosive environments, created by flammable liquids, gases or dusts. The power tool generates sparks that can ignite dust or vapors.
c) Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the place where the power tools are used. Inattention may result in losing control over your power tool.

Electric safety:

a) Plugs used in power tools must match wall outlets. Never modify the plug of your power tool. Do not use any extension cables when operating a power tool with a grounding/earthing conductor (PE). Any modifications of plugs and outlets increase the risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid touching earthed surfaces or grounded items like pipes, heaters, central heating radiators and refrigerators. Touching earthed or grounded surfaces increases the risk of electric shock.
c) Do not expose your power tool to rain or damp environments. Water penetrating the tool increases the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not damage the power cord. Never use the power cord to carry, pull the power tool and do not pull by its power cord to disconnect plug from the outlet. Keep the power cord away from sources of heat, oils, sharp edges and moving parts. Damaged or entangled power cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When your power tool is operated outdoors use extension cords intended for outdoor use only. Using an extension cable intended for outdoor use decreases the risk of electric shock.
f) It is recommended to connect the device to a mains supply

equipped with a residual current device (RCD) with a rated current of 30 mA or less.

g) If the use of a power tool in a humid environment is unavoidable, a residual current device (RCD) is to be used as protection against supply voltage. The use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

Personal safety:

a) This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) disabled physically, mentally, sensorial or persons with no experience and knowledge in operating the equipment unless they operate the equipment under supervision or follow user's instructions provided by persons responsible for their safety.
b) It is necessary to predict steps, watch and keep common sense when using power tools. Do not operate power tools when you are tired, under influence of drugs, medicine or alcohol. A moment of inattention while operating a power tool may result in serious personal injury.
c) Use personal protective equipment (PPE). Always wear safety goggles. Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including a dust mask, anti-slippery footwear, a helmet and ear protection reduces personal injury.
d) Avoid unexpected start up. Before connecting your power tool to the mains and/or inserting a battery make sure its power switch is in off position. Carrying your power tool with a finger on its power switch or without disconnecting it from the mains (switched on) may result in an accident.
e) Before starting your power tool remove any keys/wrenches. Leaving a key/wrench in the rotating part of your power tool may result in personal injury.
f) Do not lean forward too far. Always remain stable and maintain balance. It will allow you to have a better control over your power tool in unpredictable situations.
g) Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothes or jewelry. Keep your hair tied. Keep your clothes away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair may be caught by moving parts.
h) If your power tool allows for using an external dust extraction or collection system, make sure it is connected and used properly. Using dust collectors may reduce dust affected risks.

Use and taking care of your power tool:

a) Do not overload your power tool. Use a power tool with power adjusted to work being done. An appropriately chosen power tool will allow you to work better and safer under load it has been designed for.

b) Do not use a power tool when its power switch is out of order (it does not switch it on or off). Any power tool with its power switch out of order is dangerous and must be repaired.

c) Always disconnect the plug from the power source and/or disconnect its battery before changing any settings, performing replacement or storage. Such preventive measures reduce the risk of accidental power tool start up.

d) Keep your power tool out of reach of children and do not allow unauthorized persons to use the power tool. Power tools in hands of untrained persons can be dangerous.

e) Power tools require maintenance. Check power tools for concentricity or jamming of moving parts, any cracks and all other factors affecting the power tool work safety. If any damage to the power tool is detected, it should be repaired before use. Improper power tool maintenance is a reason for many accidents.

f) Cutting tools should be sharp and clean. Keeping sharp cutting edges in good condition reduces the risk of jamming and facilitates operation.

g) Power tools, equipment, working tools etc. should be used according to this user's manual taking into account operating conditions and the work to be done. Misusing a power tool can result in dangerous situations.

h) At low temperatures and after a long brakes in operation it is recommended to turn the power tool to operate it with no load for a few minutes to provide proper grease distribution inside its driving mechanism.

i) Use soft, damp (cannot be wet) cloth and soap to clean power tools. Do not use petrol, solvents and other agents that may damage your equipment.

j) Power tools can be stored/carried after making sure that all moving components are locked and protected against release with original devices intended for this purpose.

k) Store power tools in a dry, dust and water-protected place.

I) Carry your power tool in its original packaging to provide protection against mechanical damage.

Repair:

Power tool repairs are to be commissioned only to a qualified person using only original spare parts. This will ensure that the power tool will remain safe. The PROFIX service centre

conducts warranty and post-warranty repairs, which guarantees the highest quality of repairs and the use of original spare.

WARNING! ELECTRICAL STAPLER, safety warnings

Personal safety:

a) Always assume that fasteners are in the tool.

Unsafe handling of the stapler can cause the unexpected expulsion of fasteners, which can result in an injury.

b) Do not aim the tool at yourself or anyone around you.

Unexpected switching on will release the fastener, causing damage.

c) Do not start the tool when it is not firmly seated against the workpiece. If the tool does not touch the workpiece, the fastening element might tilt away from the target.

d) Unplug the tool from the power source when the fastener jams in the tool. If the tool is connected to power with a jammed fastener, the stapler may be started by accident.

e) Be careful when removing the jammed fastener. The mechanism might be compressed and the fastener fired when an attempt is made to remove the blocked fastener.

f) Do not use this stapler to attach electrical cables.

It is not intended for fastening electrical cables and may damage the insulation of electric cables, causing electric shock or a fire hazard.

g) Do not use the power tool with a damaged power cord. Do not touch the damaged cord. If the cord becomes damaged during operation, remove the plug from the socket. Damaged cables increase the risk of electric shock.

h) If a non-detachable power cord is damaged, it should be replaced with a special cord or an assembly available from the manufacturer or at a specialised repair shop.

i) For your own safety and the safety of those in the vicinity, use only accessories and additional devices specified in the user's manual or recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other accessories and equipment than recommended in the user manual or manufacturer's catalogue may put you in danger of damage to health or property.

j) Only fasteners listed in the manual can be used with the stapler. Connect to a power source as described in the instruction manual.

k) Never direct the tool towards yourself, other persons or animals

DESCRIPTION OF OPERATIONS AND USE

The electric stapler is a practical tool used to connect elements to each other, e.g. when adding finishing materials to furniture, fixing insulation film in construction, in upholstery work, finishing works, etc. The staples are accelerated to a high speed in the device, which in combination with an appropriate construction of the stapler results in effective joining of elements. At the same time, it requires the user to proceed carefully. Page 2 of this manual features drawings that help to understand the operation of the stapler and its main elements used for handling.

OPERATIONS AND USE

Any activities aimed at getting familiar with the device and related to opening the magazine, loading staples, removing any staple jams in the device, etc. absolutely need to be performed with the power switched off - the electric cable must be disconnected from the electrical socket.

The activities described below have reference to A,B,C drawings on page 2 of this instruction manual.

1. Press the magazine lock button (9) while pulling back the magazine handle (14) in direction "0" shown in Figure A. This will move the staple pusher (10) away from the staple guide (11) and provide space for the staples/nails in the magazine.

2. Set the sliding switch (8) to the position (0.75 or 1.2) required for the type of staples to be used. CAUTION! : Switch position 1.2

does not mean you can use 1.2 mm staples. Use only staples and nails conforming to the parameters in table 'technical data' The position of the switch (8) does not matter when using nails. 3.Turn the stapler over (Fig. B and Q. Insert a staple or nail packet into the magazine, so that the tips of staples or nails face upwards with a turned over stapler - see nail icons (Fig. B and C). A nail packet should be placed only on the left side of the magazine, when looking at a turned over stapler - Fig. B.

Slightly inclining the turned over stapler to the left will enable proper positioning of the nails when closing the magazine. WARNING! Use staples or nails of one type only - do not mix staples and nails of different sizes and nails with staples in a single work

1. Close the magazine by moving the magazine holder (14) in direction T (Fig. A) until the magazine closes - a clearly audible click.
2. After the magazine is closed, the staple pusher (10) and the guide (11) form a slot through which accelerated staples are ejected.
3. Connect the stapler to an electrical outlet. Set the staple/nail driving force regulator (7) to the minimum value marked as "-". Turn the "main switch" to the "-" position.

It is recommended to perform a test before fastening the target elements, changing the staple/nail driving force by operating the regulator (7).

1. For the device to start, it is necessary for the trigger (3) and the fuse (4) to work simultaneously.

2. Move the stapler to the work surface (e.g. the board into which the staple is to be driven) and press it lightly to force the fuse. Press the trigger (3)

The staple hits the work surface.

The driving of subsequent staples is possible by pressing the trigger for individual staples, if the fuse is still pressed.

Note: Never press the fuse in with your fingers - this may cause an accident!

REMOVING JAMMED STAPLES OR NAILS

If staples/nails become stuck, turn off the device and disconnect it from power.

Press the magazine lock button (9) while pulling back the magazine handle (14) in direction "0" shown in Figure A.

This will move the staple pusher (10) away from the staple guide (11) and provide access to jammed staples or nails.

STORAGE, MAINTENANCE, REPAIR

In general, the stapler does not require special maintenance activities. Keep the stapler stored in a place not accessible to children, clean, protected from moisture and dust. Storage conditions should secure against the possibility of mechanical damage and atmospheric factors.

If any irregularities in the operation of the stapler are found, the magazine should be checked and cleaned with compressed air. In case of further problems, commission a repair with a PROFIX service centre. The PROFIX service centre conducts warranty and post-warranty repairs, which guarantees the highest quality of repairs and that original spare parts are going to be used.

TRANSPORT

Transport and store the stapler in a package that protects it against moisture, dust ingress and mechanical damage.

MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY

The warranty does not cover damage due to normal wear, overload or improper handling and use of the tool in an unsuitable manner. To maintain the validity of this warranty, deliver a tool that has not been dismantled to the seller.

The warranty covers the replaced parts and labour for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, confirmed by an invoice or a fiscal receipt and is valid only on the territory of the Republic of Poland. Potential defects can be removed by changing the tool or performing an appropriate repair.

Provided the purchaser adheres to the device's instruction manual, during the warranty period the manufacturer will assure free repairs or replacements of a damaged device or its structural parts, which do not fulfil their function due to the manufacturer's use of improper material or assembly defects, attributable to the manufacturer. The PROFIX service centre conducts warranty and post-warranty repairs, which guarantees the highest quality of repairs and that original spare parts are going to be used.

The warranty period, warranty conditions, as well as the addresses of service centres and repair shops are specified in the warranty card.

DISPOSAL

The tools, accessories and packaging should be disposed of in accordance with the applicable environmental protection regulations. Do not throw tools away with household waste!
