Frequently Asked Questions - SWS 3200 SENCOR

How do I set the time on the Sencor SWS 3200?
Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. Use + / CH and - / RCC to adjust values. Press SET to confirm each step. The setting order is: Beep On/Off, RCC On/Off, time zone (if RCC On), 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, MD/DM format, month, date, weekday language, temperature unit. If no action for 8 seconds, settings are saved automatically.
How do I pair the outdoor sensor?
First, set the sensor's channel switch to CH1. Insert 2 new AA batteries into the sensor. Then, on the main unit, press and hold + / CH for 3 seconds to start sensor search. The main unit will automatically receive the sensor's signal within 3 minutes. Ensure both units are on the same channel and at least 1.5-2 meters away from interference sources like TVs.
What does the frost alert icon mean?
The frost alert icon flashes when the outdoor temperature is between 0°C and 2.9°C. If the temperature drops below 0°C, the icon stays on continuously. It only appears on the channel that is currently displayed. No manual activation is required.
How can I view the maximum and minimum temperature/humidity?
In normal mode, press the MEM button to cycle through MAX and MIN records. The readings appear for 5 seconds then return to normal. To manually clear all records, press MEM to enter MAX/MIN mode, then hold MEM for 3-4 seconds. Records also reset automatically at midnight (00:00).
How do I turn off the RCC (radio controlled clock) function?
During time setting, when you reach the RCC On/Off option, set it to OFF. Once turned off, pressing and holding - / RCC will not start reception. To re-enable, you must enter time setting again and set RCC to ON. With RCC off, the clock runs independently.
Can I add additional outdoor sensors?
Yes, the SWS 3200 supports up to 3 sensors. Additional sensors (model SWS TH 2300-3200-4440) can be purchased separately. Each sensor must be set to a different channel using the channel switch (CH1, CH2, CH3). Pair them similarly to the included sensor.
Why is my outdoor temperature not updating?
Check that the sensor is within range (up to 80 m in open area) and not blocked by thick walls. Ensure batteries are fresh and inserted correctly. If the signal is lost for 1 hour, the display will show '--.-'. Try re-pairing by holding + / CH for 3 seconds on the main unit and re-powering the sensor.
How do I change the language for weekday display?
Enter time setting mode by holding SET. After setting the date, you will reach 'Weekday language'. Use + / CH or - / RCC to cycle through 8 languages: English, Czech, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish. Press SET to confirm.
What should I do if the main unit shows no signal from the sensor?
First, verify the sensor has fresh batteries and the channel switch matches the main unit (e.g., CH1). Move the sensor closer to the main unit, ensuring at least 1.5-2 meters from other electronics. Press and hold + / CH for 3 seconds to initiate a new sensor search. If still no signal, reset the sensor by removing and reinserting batteries.
How do I clean and maintain my weather station?
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the main unit and sensor. Do not use benzene, thinner, or other solvents. Never immerse the product in water. Remove batteries if storing for long periods to prevent leakage. Ensure the sensor is mounted vertically with proper ventilation and protection from direct sunlight and rain.
