Frequently Asked Questions - E03070 Emos

How do I pair the E03070 sensor with my weather station?
Insert the batteries and place the sensor within 3 meters of the receiver. Press the PAIR button on the sensor (if available) or follow the receiver's pairing procedure. The receiver should detect the sensor automatically within a few minutes.
What is the maximum transmission range?
The maximum range in open air is 100 meters. Walls, metal objects, and electronic interference can reduce the effective range.
How often does the sensor transmit data?
The sensor typically transmits data every 60 seconds under normal conditions. In extreme temperatures or low battery, the interval may increase.
What batteries does the sensor use and how long do they last?
The sensor uses 2 x AAA alkaline batteries. Battery life is approximately 12 months depending on usage and environmental conditions.
Is the sensor waterproof?
The sensor has an IPX4 rating, meaning it is splash-proof but not waterproof. Avoid exposing it to heavy rain or submerging it in water.
Can I use the sensor outdoors?
Yes, the sensor is designed for outdoor use within its temperature range (-20°C to +60°C) and splash-proof housing. Place it in a shaded, well-ventilated area for accurate readings.
How accurate are the temperature and humidity measurements?
Temperature accuracy is ±0.5°C, and humidity accuracy is ±3% RH. Ensure the sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources for best results.
What should I do if the sensor stops working?
First, check the batteries and replace them if needed. Ensure the sensor is within range of the receiver. Perform a manual reset by removing batteries for 10 seconds and reinserting. If the issue persists, contact Emos support.
Can I add multiple sensors to one receiver?
Yes, most Emos receivers support multiple sensors (usually up to 3 or 5). Assign a different channel (e.g., CH1, CH2) on each sensor via the channel switch if available.
How do I clean and maintain the sensor?
Clean the sensor casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the ventilation holes are free from dust. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears.
