Frequently Asked Questions - PDV7460ss Concept

How do I ignite the burner?
Press and turn the corresponding knob counterclockwise to the MAX position. Hold for up to 15 seconds after ignition to engage the safety thermocouple. Release and adjust the flame to desired level.
What should I do if the burner does not ignite?
Check that the power cord is connected, the gas supply is open, and the burner cover is correctly mounted. If the ignition electrode does not spark, it may be dirty; clean it with a soft sponge. If it still fails, contact a qualified professional.
Why does the burner go out after releasing the knob?
You may not have held the knob pressed long enough (15 seconds). Alternatively, the thermoelectric cell could be dirty; clean it gently. If the problem persists, ensure there is no draft and that the gas pressure is correct.
Can I use LPG (propane/butane) with this hob?
Yes, but the burner nozzles must be replaced with those supplied for LPG, and the minimum flame must be adjusted. This conversion must be performed by a qualified professional. Refer to the manual for specific nozzle sizes.
How do I clean the hob?
Disconnect the hob from power. Allow it to cool. Remove burner grates, covers, and flame spreaders. Wash them in warm soapy water (do not put grates in dishwasher). Wipe the stainless steel surface with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Never use abrasive cleaners or steam cleaners.
What is the minimum clearance above the hob?
A minimum of 700 mm between the highest point of the hob (including burners) and the bottom of any horizontal surface above (excluding kitchen hoods). For side walls, maintain at least 60 mm clearance.
Can I install the hob directly above an oven?
Yes, but a gap of at least 25 mm must be maintained between the hob and the oven below. The worktop cutout dimensions must be followed precisely.
Why is there a yellow flame?
A yellow flame indicates incomplete combustion. Check that the flame spreader holes are not clogged. Also ensure the correct gas type is used. If the problem continues, contact a professional.
How do I adjust the minimum flame height?
Turn the burner to MIN position, then pull off the knob. Use a screwdriver to turn the adjustment screw (located in the valve shaft or next to it) until the flame is 3-4 mm high. Reattach the knob and test. This adjustment should be done by a qualified professional for gas type changes.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Immediately turn off the hob and close the gas supply valve. Do not operate any electrical switches. Ventilate the room. Contact a qualified professional to check for leaks. Do not use the appliance until it has been inspected.
