Frequently Asked Questions - MZ2355bc Concept

How do I set the temperature on the Concept MZ2355bc freezer?
The thermostat control knob is located at the front upper part. Turn it to position '1' (warmest) to '4' (coldest). For normal use, set between '1' and '4', typically above '2'. For first use or after defrosting, set to '4' for at least 2 hours before storing food.
How do I defrost the freezer?
Disconnect the appliance from the mains. Remove food and place in a cold area. Use a container to catch defrost water. You can use a plastic or wooden scraper and warm water to speed up defrosting. Wipe dry thoroughly before switching on again. Do not use mechanical devices.
Can I change the door opening direction?
Yes, the door is reversible. Follow the instructions in the manual: remove top hinge, bottom hinge, door stop, and reinstall on the opposite side. Be careful not to pinch the hinges. Ensure proper alignment after reassembly.
What should I do if the freezer is making unusual noises?
Normal operating noises include ice cracking, short cracking (thermostat switching), compressor hum, bubbling from refrigerant, and water flowing during defrost. If the noise is excessive, check if the freezer is level and not touching furniture. If problem persists, contact service.
How long can food stay frozen during a power failure?
The freezer can keep food frozen for up to 10 hours if the door remains closed. Open the door as little as possible to extend freshness.
How do I clean the freezer?
Disconnect the power. Use a soft cloth or sponge with lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, alcohol, acetone, or steel brushes. Do not wash accessories in a dishwasher. Dry all parts thoroughly before reconnecting.
What are the required clearances for installation?
Place the freezer on a flat, well-ventilated area. Leave at least 10 cm clearance from walls on back and sides, and at least 30 cm above the appliance. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.
Why is frost forming inside the freezer?
Possible causes: insufficiently packaged food or wet containers, frequent door openings, improperly placed compartments, or damaged door seals. Check packaging, reduce door openings, ensure drawers are correctly placed, and inspect seals.
What is the energy consumption of this freezer?
The annual energy consumption is 131 kWh, which corresponds to energy class D. Daily consumption is about 0.433 kWh. Actual consumption depends on usage and ambient temperature.
Can I make ice cubes in this freezer?
Yes, you can produce ice cubes. Use ice cube trays and place them in the freezer. Do not use glass bottles for freezing beverages as they may rupture.
