How do I change the dust bag?

First, unplug the vacuum cleaner. Press the release handle to open the dust bag compartment lid. Grasp the cardboard flap and pull the dust bag holder upwards. Remove the full dust bag from the holder and dispose of it in household waste. Place a new dust bag into the holder, ensuring the cardboard flap is facing out. Reinsert the holder into the compartment until the connector pins click into slots. Close the lid securely.

How often should I clean or replace the filters?

The motor protection filter should be cleaned or replaced every time you open a new pack of dust bags. The hygiene filter should be cleaned every time you change the dust bag. To clean, remove the filter, rinse it under running water (do not use detergent), shake out excess water, and let it air-dry completely before reinstalling. Replace filters if they are damaged or cannot be cleaned effectively.

What should I do if suction power is weak?

Check if the dust bag is full and replace if necessary. Ensure the filters are clean and properly installed. Inspect the telescopic tube and suction hose for blockages. Verify that the air bypass vent is closed. Also, confirm that the brush/nozzle is correctly positioned on the floor. If the problem persists, refer to the troubleshooting table in the manual.

Can I vacuum water or liquids?

No, this vacuum cleaner is designed only for dry dirt. Vacuuming water or other liquids can cause short circuits and damage the appliance. Do not vacuum wet surfaces or liquids.

How do I use the turbo brush?

Attach the turbo brush to the telescopic tube or directly to the suction hose handle. It is best used on carpets and rugs to remove hair and threads. Set the suction force to maximum for optimal performance. Always remove the turbo brush from the tube before cleaning it, and never touch the rotating brush while it is in use.

How do I adjust the suction force?

Use the suction force control unit on the vacuum cleaner body. Rotate it clockwise to increase suction and anticlockwise to decrease suction. The selected level is shown by blue LED indicators on the display, with 5 levels from delicate fabrics to heavy soiling.

How do I retract the power cord?

Press the cord rewind foot switch (marked with a cord symbol). While the cord is retracting, hold the mains plug in your hand to prevent a whipping effect. Allow the cord to retract fully until only the plug remains.

Is this vacuum safe for parquet and hard floors?

Yes, the vacuum includes a parquet nozzle and a floor nozzle with a foot selector switch. Set the switch to the hard floor position (indicated by a house icon) when using on parquet, laminate, tiles, or other smooth floors. Use the parquet nozzle for gentle cleaning.

What materials should I never vacuum?

Do not vacuum hazardous dust (e.g., asbestos), water or other liquids, glowing ash, burning cigarettes or matches, sharp objects like glass fragments, and building dust such as clay, plaster, cement, or drilling dust. These can damage the filter or motor and pose safety risks.

How do I store the vacuum cleaner after use?

After vacuuming, press the on/off foot switch to turn off and unplug the cord. To store upright, lift the vacuum by the carrying handle and engage the storage holder on the nozzle into the storage bracket on the bottom of the appliance. This allows space-saving vertical storage.

Intended use

The appliance is intended for vacuuming up loose and dry dirt, such as dust, lint, crumbs on floors and cushions around the home and car.

The appliance can be operated without switching at 220–240 V\~50 Hz.

The appliance may only be operated if the motor protection filter is in place.

Do not make any technical changes.

Use the appliance exclusively as described in this user manual. Any other use is deemed improper and may result in damage to property or even personal injury.

■ Do not allow children to play with the packaging fi lm. They may get caught in it or suffocate.
■ Prevent children from pulling small parts from the device or taking them out of the accessory bag and putting them in their mouths. There is a risk of suffocation.
■ Children shall not play with the appliance.
■ Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children without supervision.

Risks in handling house- hold electrical appliances

Touching live parts may result in severe injury or death.

■ Only use the appliance indoors. Do not use in wet rooms or in the rain.
■ Do not start up or continue operating the appliance if it is visibly damaged, e.g. the supply cord is defective, it makes strange noises, smoke develops.
In such cases, you should pull the mains plug out of the socket or switch off/unscrew the fuse and have

the appliance repaired (see chapter "Service").

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's service agent or a qualified expert in order to avoid hazards.
■ Check the appliance regularly for damage.
■ We recommend using a pulse-sensitive fault current switch (residual current operated circuit-breaker).
- Keep the appliance, the mains plug and the mains cord away from open fl ames and hot surfaces. The insulation of the mains cord could melt.
■ Do not kink or pinch the mains cord or lay it over sharp edges.
■ Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the mains cord; always hold the mains plug itself.
■ Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.

■ Never immerse the mains cord or plug in water or any other liquids.
In the event of a fault, as well as before cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the mains plug from the socket and/or switch off or unscrew the fuse.
■ Do not put any objects in or through the housing openings and also make sure that children cannot insert any objects through them.
■ Never clean the appliance with a high-pressure cleaner or steam cleaner.
■ Only parts corresponding to the original appliance specifications may be used for repairs.
■ Investigations and repairs to the appliance may only be carried out by authorised specialists, such as our Service department.
■ Unauthorised repairs to the appliance can cause property damage and personal injury, and invalidate lia-

bility and warranty claims. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

■ Connect the appliance only to a properly installed and earthed electric socket. Do not connect to a multi-socket extension cable or a multi-socket plug.

When cleaning, please note:

■ Never use soap or any harsh, granular, soda-based, acid-based, solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. All-pur-

pose cleaners with a neutral pH are recommended.

■ The door seals can be damaged by unsuitable cleaning agents. Use care products only on the outer surfaces.
■ Use only soft cloths for cleaning.
■ Ensure that water does not enter the electrical components.

Risks when handling the vacuum cleaner

Risk of injury!

Improper handling of the appliance may lead to injuries.

■ Never touch moving parts of the appliance and accessories, for example, turbo brushes. There is a risk of fingers becoming trapped.
■ Always remove the turbo brush from the telescopic tube or suction hose before cleaning.
■ Hold onto the mains cord when winding it up. By

forcefully retracting the mains cord this can cause a “whipping effect” (on account of the mains cord swinging uncontrollably).

■ Lay the mains cord in such a way that no one trips over it.

Fire hazard!

Vacuuming glowing ash, burning cigarettes, etc. will set the fi Iter on fi re.

Health hazard!

Improper handling of the appliance may result in health hazards.

■ Do not use the appliance if the hygiene or motor protection filter is missing or damaged.

Otherwise, vacuumed dust can penetrate the appliance and escape into the ambient air.

Even with the fi Iters, the appliance exhaust air may still contain small quantities of dirt particles. If breathed in

by small children, these can lead to allergic reactions.

■ Avoid vacuuming close to children, wherever possible.

■ Do not use sharp objects to unpack the appliance.

■ Never sit or stand on the appliance.

■ Use the appliance only if the motor protection fi lter is in place. The motor protection fi lter must not be damaged.

■ Only the original supplied accessories and the speci-fi ed dust bag, motor protec-tion fi Iter and hygiene fi Iter may be used.

■ Never vacuum clay, plaster, cement, masonry dust or drilling dust. Vacuuming these materials blocks the filter.

■ Never vacuum water and other liquids.
■ Never vacuum sharp objects e.g. glass fragments.
■ On freshly shampooed carpets, always wait until the detergent is completely dry before vacuuming.
■ When using the vacuum cleaner, always pull out the mains cord completely to the yellow marker.
■ Never pull the mains cord out beyond the red marker. Pulling the cord out further can damage the cable reel.
■ Never place the vacuum cleaner directly next to a heater or oven.
■ Never dry the hygiene fi Iter on a heater or with a hair-dryer or tumble dryer. The hygiene fi Iter is porous and can be damaged.
■ Never wash the filter in a washing machine or dishwasher.
■ The filter must be air-dried only.
■ Do not use any abrasive cleaners (scouring or thin-

ning agents) to clean the appliance and accessories. They could damage the surface of the appliance.

The vacuum cleaner comes with various nozzles designed for a range of uses. Where required, before or during vacuuming, each nozzle can be attached to the telescopic suction hose (15) or the telescopic tube (16).

Floor nozzle

You will work with the floor nozzle (17) most of the time as it is designed for large, flat surfaces.

Best vacuuming results are achieved when you adapt the appliance to the floor surface using the foot selector switch (23).

- For short-pile or smooth floors such as needle felt, PVC, parquet or tiles:

Set the foot selector switch to the correct position 🏠.

The foot selector switch can also be readjusted during operation.

Depending on the floor covering and degree of dirtiness, you can adjust the suction force using the suction force control unit (5) (see section "Setting the suction force" on page EN-18).

Turbo brush

The rotating turbo brush (18) is propelled by the vacuum air flow. It is particularly suitable for vacuuming dirt such as hair and threads from rugs and carpeted floors. Select maximum suction force when you use the turbo brush (see section "Setting the suction force" on page EN-18).

Parquet nozzle

The parquet nozzle (19) is suitable for parquet and laminate flooring, as well as for smooth floors such as tiles.

Furniture brush

You can dust books or fragile items such as picture frames using the furniture brush (22).

Crevice nozzle

The crevice nozzle (21) is suitable for vacuuming material folds, joints, corners and niches that cannot be reached with the floor nozzle.

Upholstery nozzle

The upholstery nozzle (20) is particularly suitable for cleaning furniture upholstery and mattresses.

Start-up

1. Connect the suction hose (15) and the telescopic tube (16).

1. There are two nibs (25) on the connector piece (24) on the other end of the suction hose. Slightly squeeze together both nibs (25) while inserting the connector piece (24) into the opening (1).

1. Select the desired nozzle (e.g. the floor nozzle) (17) and insert it into the telescopic tube (16).

You can also insert all nozzles directly into the telescopic tube handle located on the suction hose.

1. To change the telescopic tube's (16) length and adjust it to the user's height, press the lock button (26) downwards while pushing the telescopic tube (16) apart or together. An audible click will indicate that the telescopic tube (16) has been locked in place at the next notch.

All filters are prefitted in the factory, and your vacuum cleaner is now ready to use.

Operation

Before getting started

• Read the chapter "Safety" and particularly the safety instructions (see page EN-4).
• Set up the appliance as described in the chapter "Start-up" (see page EN-15).

Vacuuming floors

WARNING

Risk of electric shock!

The appliance operates with dangerous mains voltages. Improper use of the appliance may lead to serious injury or death.

■ Do not vacuum glowing ash, burning cigarettes or matches, sharp objects, glass fragments, water or other liquids. Glowing ash, burning cigarettes, etc. set the fi Iter on fi re; moisture can cause short circuits; sharp objects damage the fi Iter and can cause short circuits.

CAUTION

Health hazard!

Improper handling of the appliance may result in health hazards.

■ Do not use the appliance if the hygiene or motor protection fi lter is missing or damaged. Otherwise, vacuumed dust can penetrate the appliance and escape into the ambient air.

NOTICE

Risk of damage!

Vacuuming unsuitable materials blocks the fi Iter and can damage the appliance.

■ Never vacuum clay, plaster, cement, masonry dust or drilling dust.

Failure to unplug the mains cord in an appropriate way may lead to damage.

■ When using the vacuum cleaner, always pull out the mains cord completely to the yellow marker.

■ Never pull the mains cord out beyond the red marker. Pulling the cord out further can damage the cable reel.

1. Pull out the mains cord (13) until the yellow marker (27) on the mains cord (13) can be seen. If the red marker (28) emerges, the mains cord (13) has been pulled out too far. Allow the mains cord (13) to retract slightly (see “General customer service” on page EN-32).

2. Insert the mains plug (13) into a properly installed socket.

1. Use your foot to operate the on/off foot switch (4), to switch the appliance on.
2. To vacuum, push and pull the nozzle across the surface you are vacuuming. Rotate the telescopic tube handle (15) slightly to reach corners more effectively. This positions the nozzle diagonally.

In rare cases this can make a whistling noise initially. This is not a malfunction and stops after a while.

Setting the suction force

Suction force control unit

Set the suction force using the suction force control unit (5).

- Rotate the suction force control unit

• clockwise to increase suction.
• anti-clockwise to decrease suction.

The symbols which light up blue on the suction force display (11) show the suction force which has been selected.

The greater the suction force, the more symbols light up. The symbols show the applicable area of use for the selected suction force:

1		For drapery and textiles
2		For upholstered furniture
3		For high-quality velvet-pile carpets, runners and rugs
4		For loop-pile carpets
5		For hard floors and heavily soiled carpets

Air by-pass vent

You can adjust the suction force as needed by using the air by-

pass vent (29). The covering of the air by-pass vent can be adjusted as desired.

Should you accidentally allow the vacuum cleaner to come into contact with an object, opening the air by-pass vent immediately reduces the suction force. This remedial action will prevent such items from being drawn into the dust bag.

1. To switch the appliance off, press your foot down on the on/off foot switch (4).

2. Pull the mains plug (13) out of the socket.

Finishing vacuuming

CAUTION

Forcefully retracting the mains cord can cause a “whipping effect” (on account of the mains cord swinging uncontrollably). This could result in injury.

■ Hold onto the mains cord when winding it up.

1. To retract the mains cord (13), press your foot down on the mains cord retractor switch (6). To avoid a "whipping effect", hold the mains plug of the mains cord (13) in your hand.

Shutdown and storage

Briefly setting aside

- Insert the wall mounting bracket (30) found on the nozzle into the storage holder (12).

Space-saving storage

1. Lift the appliance by its handle (9) and position it upright.
2. Insert the mounting bracket (30) found on the nozzle into the storage holder (31) on the bottom of the appliance.

Changing the dust bag

■ Do not empty the dust bin in enclosed spaces. Empty the dust bin on a balcony, or outdoors directly into the waste bin.

■ Always use the correct dust bag for the appliance. Oth-

erwise, the appliance may not function optimally.

■ Never vacuum without a dust bag or with one that is damaged. The vacuumed dust would penetrate the appliance and damage the motor.

The light beside the symbol will light up red when the dust bag is full. The other lights will flash blue. If this happens, replace the dust bag.

1. Pull the mains plug (13) out of the socket.

1. Use the release handle (8) to unlock the lid for the dust bag compartment (7) and swing it upwards to open.

1. Use the cardboard flap to pull the dust bag (32) and the dust bag holder (33) up and out of the holder.

1. Remove the dust bag (32) from the dust bag holder (33).
2. Dispose of the dust bag (32) in your household waste.

1. Put a new dust bag in the dust bag holder (33).

1. Re-insert the dust bag holder (33) into the holder. Make sure that the connector pins (34) click into the slots (35).

1. Fold down the lid for the dust bag container (7) again. Make sure that the dust bag (32) is not stuck anywhere.

Cleaning/changing the motor protection filter

■ Always pull the mains plug out of the socket prior to changing or cleaning the motor protection fi Iter.

■ Never vacuum without fil- ters or with damaged fi Iters. The vacuumed dust would penetrate the appliance and damage the motor.
■ Do not wash the fi lter in a washing machine or a dish-washer.

The motor protection filter should be replaced every time a new pack of dust bags is opened.

1. Pull the mains plug (13) out of the socket.
2. Use the release handle (8) to unlock the lid for the dust bag compartment (7) and swing it upwards to open.
3. Pull the dust bag out (32), as described in section "Changing the dust bag" on page EN-21.

1. Remove the motor protection filter (36).

1. Wash the motor protection filter (36) under running water. Should the motor protection filter (36) be damaged or can no longer be sufficiently cleaned, it must be replaced with a new one.
2. Let the motor protection filter (36) dry completely.
3. Insert the motor protection filter back into the vacuum cleaner in reverse order.
4. Insert the dust bag (see "Changing the dust bag" on page EN-21).

Combine changing or cleaning the motor protection filter when you change the dust bag.

■ Only use the appliance with the fi Iters installed.
■ Never dry hygiene fi Iters on a heater or with a hairdryer or tumble dryer, etc. It will become porous and can be damaged.
■ Never wash the hygiene filter in a washing machine or dishwasher.
■ Only let the hygiene filter air-dry.

The hygiene filter should be cleaned every time the dust bag is changed.

If odours cannot be removed by cleaning or the hygiene filter is too heavily soiled, it must be replaced.

1. Pull the mains plug (13) out of the socket.

1. Pull out the hygiene filter (38).
2. Rinse the hygiene filter (38) with clean water only, then shake out the water and/or clean it with compressed air. Never use detergent or washing-up liquid to clean the hygiene filter (38).
3. Let the hygiene filter (38) dry completely.

1. Re-insert the hygiene filter (38) and close the lid for the dust bag compartment (7).

Cleaning the appliance

■ Before cleaning the appliance, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
■ Prevent watering from seeping into the appliance. Never immerse the appliance in water.
■ Only insert the mains plug into the socket if all appliance components are completely dry.

■ Do not use abrasive cleansers (scouring agents or thinning agents) for cleaning.

Never allow liquid to penetrate the vacuum.

• Occasionally clean the air vent (3) with a soft brush.

Cleaning the floor nozzle

- Occasionally vacuum the underside of the floor nozzle (17) with the crevice nozzle (21).

Cleaning the turbo brush

CAUTION

Risk of injury!

Improper handling of the appliance may lead to injuries.

■ Never touch moving parts of the appliance and accessories, for example, turbo brushes. There is a risk of fingers becoming trapped.
■ Always remove the turbo brush from the telescopic tube or suction hose before cleaning.

If the turbo brush is no longer working properly:

1. Pull out the mains plug (13), and pull the turbo brush (18) off the telescopic tube (16) or from the suction hose's telescopic tube handle (15).

1. Open the maintenance flap (39) on the underside of the turbo brush.

1. Remove any lint and hairs from the brush (41) and from the air blade wheel (40).

1. Close the maintenance flap (39).

Troubleshooting table

Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.

In rare cases this can make a whistling noise initially. This is not a malfunction and stops after a while.

Waste prevention

According to the provisions of Directive 2008/98/EC, waste prevention measures always take priority over waste management.

For electrical and electronic devices, waste prevention measures include extending the lifespan of defective devices through repair and reselling used working appliances instead of disposing of them.

In addition, consumers may return up to three old electrical appliances of the same type to a distributor's collection point for free, without having to purchase a new electrical appliance. In this case, however, the old appliances' external dimensions may not exceed 25 cm.

Disposing of old electrical devices in an environmentally friendly manner

Electrical appliances contain harmful substances as well as valuable resources.

Every consumer is therefore required by law to dispose of old electrical appliances at an authorised collection or return point. They will thus be made available for environmentally-sound, resource-saving recycling.

You can dispose of old electrical appliances free of charge at your local recycling centre.

Don't forget to erase data!

If necessary, each consumer is responsible for erasing personal data from electrical and electronic equipment.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries, lamps and bulbs

If necessary, old single-use and rechargeable batteries that are not encased by an old electrical appliance, as well as lamps/bulbs that can be removed from an old electrical appliance without being destroyed, must be removed and disposed of separately before you return the appliance.

This symbol means that batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with other household waste.

Consumers are required by law to bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless of whether they contain harmful substances*) or not, to a collection point operated by their communal authority or borough or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner and so that valuable resources (e.g. cobalt, nickel or copper) can be recovered.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries can be returned free of charge.

Some of the possible contents (e.g. mercury, cadmium and lead) are toxic and, if improperly disposed of, can have adverse effects on the environment. Heavy metals, for instance, can have detrimental health effects on humans, animals and plants and accumulate in the environment and food chain, and then enter the body indirectly through the consumption of food.

There is a high risk of fire with old lithium batteries. Special care must therefore be taken to properly dispose of old lithium batteries and rechargeable batteries. Improper disposal can also lead to internal and external short circuits due to thermal effects (heat) or mechanical damage. A short circuit can lead to a fire or an explosion and have serious consequences for people and the environment. It is therefore important to tape off the poles of lithium batteries and rechargeable batteries before disposing of them to prevent an external short circuit.

Before disposing of the appliance, batteries and rechargeable batteries which are not permanently built into the appliance must be removed and disposed of separately.

Please only dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries in a discharged state!

If possible, use rechargeable batteries in place of disposable batteries.
