How do I connect the Natec Toucan mouse to my computer?

Simply plug the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer. The mouse will be automatically recognized and ready to use without additional drivers.

How can I adjust the DPI sensitivity?

Press the DPI button located behind the scroll wheel to cycle through preset sensitivity levels (800/1200/1600/2400 DPI). The LED color may change to indicate the current setting.

What should I do if the cursor moves erratically?

Clean the mouse sensor on the bottom with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the mouse is on a non-reflective surface. If using a mouse pad, try a different one or no pad.

Is the mouse compatible with Mac?

Yes, the Natec Toucan works with Windows, macOS, and Linux. No additional software is required, but some programmable buttons may not be configurable on macOS without third-party apps.

How do I clean the mouse?

Unplug the mouse. Use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap to wipe the exterior. For the sensor, use a dry cotton swab. Avoid using alcohol or abrasive cleaners.

Can I use the mouse on a glass surface?

Optical mice may have difficulty on glass. It is recommended to use a mouse pad for best tracking performance.

How long is the cable?

The USB cable is 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) long, providing ample reach for most setups.

Does the mouse have programmable buttons?

The forward and back buttons can be programmed using the Natec software (downloadable from their website) for custom functions.

What does the LED color indicate?

The RGB LED changes color to indicate the current DPI setting: red for 800, blue for 1200, green for 1600, and yellow for 2400 DPI.

INSTALLATION

• Connect the USB transmitter to the USB port in your computer
• System will install driver automatically

Note: The mouse is equipped with Auto Power Sleep mode, which is activated after several seconds of inactivity, press any button to wake it up.

DPI CHANGE

To change DPI resolution press and hold the left button + scroll wheel at same time for about 5 seconds. The mouse will switch to the next DPI level. Available are 3 levels of DPI settings (800 - 1200 - 1600) which can be switched in loop.
