Frequently Asked Questions - LKK-50 Ravanson

How to adjust the temperature in my Ravanson LKK-50 refrigerator?
Turn the thermostat knob to a position between 1 and 5. Position 0 turns off the refrigerator. Higher numbers give lower temperatures. Position 5 is suitable for fast cooling or ice making. After rapid freezing, return to a normal setting.
How do I defrost the refrigerator?
When the ice layer is 3-5 cm thick, turn the thermostat to 0 and unplug the unit. Remove all food, open the door, and let the ice melt. To speed up, place a bowl of hot water inside. Do not use metal tools or heaters. Wipe up water with a soft cloth, clean with mild detergent, and dry before restarting.
Can I freeze fresh food in the LKK-50?
No, this refrigerator is not designed for freezing fresh food. It has a 0-star compartment for storing already frozen food and for making ice. It is not suitable for freezing highly perishable products.
How to reverse the door opening direction?
Follow the door reversal instructions: remove upper hinge covers, unscrew hinges, swap door and components, and reattach on the opposite side. Detailed steps with diagrams are in the manual. Ensure the door seals properly after reversal.
Why is my refrigerator not cooling properly?
Check that the thermostat is not set to 0. Ensure the plug is firmly inserted and the power supply is on. Allow 5 minutes after a power outage before restarting. Other causes: too much food blocking airflow, high ambient temperature, proximity to heat sources, frequent door opening, or insufficient ventilation (min. 10 cm from walls).
The refrigerator makes unusual noises. Is this normal?
Yes, some sounds are normal: a running water sound from the compressor and a tapping sound due to temperature changes. If the noise is loud or persistent, ensure the refrigerator is level and not touching the wall. The compressor can reach 90°C and side walls up to 55°C.
What do the climate class ratings mean?
The LKK-50 is rated for climate classes ST (sub-tropical: +18°C to +38°C) and N (moderate: +16°C to +32°C). This indicates the ambient temperature range in which the refrigerator operates efficiently.
Is the Ravanson LKK-50 safe? It contains flammable gas.
Yes, it uses R600a (isobutane), a flammable but environmentally friendly refrigerant. The device is safe when used according to instructions. If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, avoid open flames and ventilate the room immediately.
How should I clean the refrigerator?
Unplug the device. Clean the interior and exterior with a soft damp cloth and mild neutral detergent. Do not use solvents, petrol, or abrasive cleaners. Pay attention to door seals. After cleaning, dry thoroughly. For long periods of non-use, remove food, clean, dry, and leave the door open.
What should I do if I feel an electric shock when touching the refrigerator?
Immediately turn off the refrigerator and unplug it. Contact a certified electrician to check the protective circuit in the socket. Do not use the device until it has been inspected.
