Frequently Asked Questions - PIN 30 TC DELONGHI

What type of cookware is suitable for this induction cooktop?
Only cookware with a ferromagnetic base (magnet sticks) is suitable. Materials like stainless steel with magnetic bottom, cast iron are good. Avoid glass, aluminum, copper, ceramic.
How does the Booster function work?
The Booster function provides extra power above nominal for up to 5 minutes. To activate, set power level 9 and touch the Booster key until 'P' appears. It is not suitable for oil heating.
Can I use the cooktop if the surface is cracked?
No. If the ceramic glass is cracked, disconnect the appliance from the mains immediately and contact the After-Sales Service to avoid electric shock.
How do I activate and deactivate the Child Lock?
To activate: switch off cooktop, touch the key until the control system lights up, then simultaneously touch the front zone selector and the key, then touch again until 'L' appears. To deactivate, repeat the steps until 'L' disappears.
Why does my cooktop display an error code like E2 or EH?
Error codes indicate overheating or electronic issues. Switch off, disconnect from mains for 1 minute, then reconnect. If the error persists, contact an authorized service center.
What is the maximum total power consumption?
The power board manages a maximum total power of 3700 W. If zones demand more, the last selected level has priority and the other zone's power is automatically reduced.
How do I clean the ceramic hob?
Clean when cold and disconnected. Remove spillages with a damp cloth. Use non-abrasive cleaners; avoid steel wool or scouring powders. For sugar or plastic spills, remove immediately with a scraper while still hot.
Can I install the cooktop above a dishwasher or washing machine?
No. The cooktop should not be installed directly above a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, or dryer as humidity may damage the electronics.
Does the cooktop have an automatic switch-off function?
Yes. Each cooking zone has a maximum preset time limit depending on power level. Also, if no zone is selected within 15 seconds after switching on, the cooktop turns off automatically.
What should I do if the pan detection symbol appears?
The pan detection symbol means the cookware is not suitable for induction. Use a pan with a ferromagnetic bottom. If no pan is detected for 10 minutes, the zone switches off automatically.

• Do not lean over the cooking zones when they are switched on. • Do not drop heavy or sharp objects on the glass ceramic cooktop. If the surface is broken or damaged disconnect the cooktop from the electrical power supply and contact the after-sales service.

• Do not leave wet or damp lids on the hob. • The glass-ceramic surface and pans must be clean. Carefully eliminate any food remains (especially containing sugar), dirt etc. with the aid of a cleaning agent. • Make sure that the handles of coolware do not stick out over the edge of the hob, to avoid them being knocked over by accident. This also makes it more difficult for children to reach the cooking vessels.

• Use cookware with flat and even bottoms. Uneven bottoms can scratch the glass ceramic surfaces. Be careful that the bottom is clean and dry. • Switching off. • Before switching on make sure that you have the correct cooking zone for the hotplate chosen. It is advisable to put the pan on the hotplate before switching on and to take it away after switching off.
