Frequently Asked Questions - OK200 Columbia Vac

How do I clean the HEPA filter on the OK200?
The HEPA filter should be cleaned every 3-6 months. Remove the filter compartment, take out the filter, and rinse it under cold water. Let it dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling.
What should I do if the vacuum loses suction?
Check for blockages in the hose or nozzle. Ensure the dustbin is not full and the filter is clean. Also inspect the hose for cracks. If the problem persists, contact Columbia Vac support.
How do I empty the dustbin?
Press the release button on the dustbin to detach it from the unit. Hold it over a trash can and press the bottom release to open the flap. Tap gently to remove debris. Reattach securely.
Can I use the OK200 on hardwood floors?
Yes, the OK200 has a hard floor setting or you can use the included brush to avoid scratches. The suction can be adjusted if needed.
What attachments come with the vacuum?
The OK200 includes a crevice tool, upholstery tool, and dusting brush. These can be used for furniture, car interiors, and tight spaces.
How often should I replace the filters?
The HEPA filter should be replaced every 6-12 months depending on use. The pre-motor foam filter can be washed and replaced when torn or worn.
Why is the vacuum overheating?
Overheating can occur if the filter is clogged or the dustbin is full. Turn off the vacuum and let it cool for 30 minutes. Clean the filter and empty the bin before restarting. If it continues, check for blockages.
How do I replace the belt on the OK200?
Unplug the vacuum. Remove the bottom plate by undoing screws. Take off the old belt and loop the new one around the motor shaft and brush roll. Reassemble. Refer to the manual diagrams for guidance.
Is the vacuum bagless?
Yes, the OK200 is bagless with a transparent dustbin so you can see when it needs emptying.
Where can I find spare parts for the OK200?
Spare parts such as filters, hoses, and attachments are available at Columbia Vac's official website or through authorized retailers. The manual includes part numbers.
